Greatest Legacy of the Magus Universe

Chapter 959: Reliable Information

A heavy silence descended in the room.

The sound of Adam clearing his throat and uncomfortably shifting in his chair could be heard. He patiently waited for the two Mana Core Magi to digest the information.

Did I do the right thing?

He wondered.

What if they don't believe me? What if they think I'm crazy?

No… What if they do believe me?

The youth nervously gulped. He could feel a chill crawl down his spine when he thought of another possibility.

I just disclosed the existence of the Nine Hells of Inferno to them… What if they…

As if confirming his thoughts, Headmaster Blackwood suddenly cast his gaze toward him. He deeply observed him for a few moments before speaking in a low yet heavy voice:

"Deducing the Cult's involvement by drawing a connection between Hannes City and Blackshore is understandable."

His eyes suddenly narrowed, and his tone turned slightly colder. "But Magus Constantine… why is it that only you were able to notice the discrepancy in perception in both these places?"

Blackwood paused and leaned forward. His following words cast a heavy and oppressive weight on the raven-haired youth.

"And how did you come to know about the world of devils? How did you know it was called... the Nine Hells of Inferno?"

This was information that even he did not know. So he couldn't help but feel a little suspicious as to where Adam had gotten this information from.

The youth was momentarily at a loss for words.

Technically, the Nine Hells of Inferno is not a 'world', but a plane of reality, he thought to himself.

Wait, why am I thinking of such useless things?

Just when he was about to come up with an excuse, something unexpected occurred.

Gerald Acadia turned to the stern-looking Headmaster and flatly said, "The boy has come across an inheritance—or perhaps several of them—belonging to the ancient Magi. So, he knows about certain things that most in this world do not."

Headmaster Blackwood's pupils constricted.

"You mean…" he ventured a guess.

The Emperor Emeritus slowly nodded. "The boy has either inherited the legacy of an otherworldly Magus… or of a native Magus who ventured into the Greater Universe and returned."

Blackwood's eyes flashed with surprise.

He turned towards Adam and murmured, "So you know!"

Then, he smiled bitterly. "So you know…"

Adam knew exactly what the Headmaster was feeling bitter about. But now was not the time to address those matters.

Now that he had divulged almost all of the secrets pertaining to Tron, it was time to see how these two powerhouses would formulate their following plans.

Gerald Acadia had a deeply pondering look in his eyes. After a few moments, he nodded. "I see, that would make sense. The Cult is known to have ties with the devils, after all."

His eyes narrowed, a dangerous gleam flickering in them. "But even I did not expect their leader to sacrifice the people of this world to the devils."

Suddenly, he thought of something and couldn't help but mutter, "The population of Tron is less than ten billion. And the portal underneath Hannes City…"

He turned to Adam and asked, "How big is it?"

The raven-haired youth lingered for a moment and answered, "It's almost as big as this room. But after studying the runes in that chamber, I've deduced that the portal has the capability to expand."

Gerald Acadia's brows furrowed even further. "Still, it doesn't make any sense."

Adam knew exactly what the elderly man was thinking of. He carefully weighed his next words and then softly said, "Your Majesty… the portal under Hannes City isn't the only one."

The former Emperor and the Headmaster felt their expression twist into a dark frown.

Adam paused for a moment, then continued, "After making countless deductions from studying the runes in that chamber, I have concluded that the portal is connected to five other similar ones scattered throughout the planet."

The Headmaster's expression darkened even further. This was the most intense reaction that Adam had ever seen from the man.

For a moment, the youth felt as if the entire castle trembled, echoing the flames of fury burning within its master.

"Six continents… six portals…" Headmaster Blackwood muttered coldly. "Those traitorous scums are truly plotting to aid the devils invade our world!"

The two Mana Core Magi had begun their discussions focused on how to counter the Cult of Bones and protect Ravenfell and the Empire.

But everything changed once Adam revealed what he had discovered in his recent travels to the Southern Federation.

Now, thier conversation had shifted to something far greater: how to save all of Tron!

Unlike the furious Marcus Blackwood, the former emperor was completely stoic. He silently pondered for a few moments before turning to Adam and asking:

"How reliable is this information?"

Adam deeply looked at the elderly man, and thought to himself, Based on the vast knowledge I possess, I'm quite certain the devils will invade this world…

After all, this is how they operate. I've seen memories of countless worlds falling to the devils.

After the planets are invaded, their inhabitants are slaughtered and their souls are harvested.

Heh, but of course, I can't tell you all that now, can I?

After a few moments of deliberation, Adam nodded confidently.

"I am not uncertain."

The elderly man nodded, then turned to the Headmaster to discuss how to tackle this new situation.

Adam stood silently, hearing their conversation with a strange feeling bubbling in his heart. He was in the presence of two of the most powerful Magi to have ever existed on this continent while they talked about saving the world.

Strange, so very strange…

From their conversation, Adam knew that this was going to be a massive undertaking. And that just the two of them alone couldn't control how their counterattack would progress.

They would need powerful allies whom they could trust. But that was easier said than done.

The recurring question that kept popping up in their conversation was: could the combined might of Tron truly be capable of defending against the titanic army of the devils?

The answer was no.

Suddenly, Adam cleared his throat, drawing the attention of the two old men and bringing their conversation to a halt.

Seeing them gaze at him with a questioning look, Adam offered a faint smile and said:

"Actually… I have a plan."
