Chapter 260: Sword of The Blasphemer
Yuki couldn't help but curse those two bitches.
Sure, she had said she wanted to be a worthy sword of Noah but was that a good reason to let her fight alone against a World Dominator Rank?
Well…
"Fuck!"
BOOOOOOOMMMM!!!
Yuki slammed into the ground with such force that a crater wide enough to host dragons opened beneath her.
She coughed blood, and for a moment, even struggled to breathe properly.
But instantly, her instincts screamed death.
She snapped her eyes open and saw, just an inch from her face, the terrifying black claw of the beast gleaming with an eerie light.
Instantly, her sword-shaped pupils glowed madly, erupting with an intense light followed by the Intent of Severing, aimed directly at the beast's claws.
Well… at least she tried, because she only managed to leave a dent.
But that was enough. Enough to give her the split second to propel herself back—but…
The beast wasn't ordinary.
It immediately caught her right leg and slammed her again into the ground with rattling force.
BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!
Again.
And again.
And again.
A thick cloud of dust erupted from the ground, hiding everything from normal eyes.
But Elizabeth and Aphasia could see perfectly and they watched how heavily Yuki was bleeding.
"Not gonna help?" Aphasia asked.
"Not yet," Elizabeth replied curtly, her thread-like eyes glowing and shifting madly.
Yuki wanted to evolve and be worthy, right?
Then she would make her evolve.
And so, they watched.
Yuki, meanwhile, was living a nightmare. Her body was being used in such a way she never thought possible. Her bones cracked, shattered, and broke in ways she couldn't even imagine.
But amidst all of that, her mind was as calm as still water.
Nothing could disturb her mind.
Because before she achieved the formless sword, she had already mastered the domain of her own mind and that was nothing to scoff at.
So, she analyzed.
She knew, needless to say, that those two bitches would save her if things got truly fatal.
Yes.
She knew she wouldn't die.
But how embarrassing would it be, after all her big words, if she couldn't even hold her own?
A Mythic winning against a World Dominator Rank?
It should be impossible to win. And yet…
'Sari killed a Divine while being a damn Mortal… and I, a Divine, can't kill one?!'
"BULLSHIT—!!!!"
Yuki's voice echoed as instantly the space around the beast's grip on her leg was completely severed to the point there was only void.
The void that swallowed the beast's hand, giving her finally the chance to escape.
She appeared a couple of meters back, her breathing ragged.
Her sword materialized in her hand, shifting into a green blade with vines and faintly glowing like threads inside and instantly, Yuki's body began to heal at an incredible rate.
Soon, she stood without a single wound.
Her body, pristine.
She breathed a sigh of relief, only for her sword to shift again, turning into a deep black longsword just in time to block the beast's incoming strike.
Her hands shook madly as she staggered back a few steps.
Yuki frowned heavily as she felt her hands going numb.
The beast… was stronger than her in every way.
Strength. Speed. Lethality.
Everything.
Her own lethality wasn't far behind but with his thick fur and overwhelming force, it was a fool's dream to hope for a clean kill.
She was at a disadvantage, truly.
'I have to think… I have to find a way to win.' Yuki's thoughts raced as she blocked, dodged, and parried the beast's heavy blows.
Her body broke with every hit. But she healed just as fast.
And all the while, she thought of a way out of this situation.
Sometimes, a blow that would've ended her was subtly redirected by mysterious threads—striking her just hard enough to keep her alive.
And at one particular time, a strange spirit would emerge, altering the strike's path so that it landed… in one particular place on her head.
Right behind her forehead.
A spot that should have been fatal.
But Yuki was strong enough to survive it… and even more, to reap the benefit.
Because that spot, that exact location, was the prefrontal cortex.
The CEO of thought.
The part of the brain responsible for planning, creativity, decision-making…higher cognition itself.
And when she was struck there… it was like a whole new world cracked open before her eyes.
A world of infinite possibilities.
A world of infinite evolution.
Instantly, Yuki's sword-shaped pupils shifted, they turned illusory and disappeared.
Her eyes now looked normal like any mundane girl's.
But inside her head… something was forming.
After all for something new to be born…something better to be born then something must be destroyed.
And usually it's the precedent version of what you want to evolve.
And so…
'Sword… I am a sword… only a sword. I am here to kill… only to kill. My lethality should be unmatched. My possibilities endless…'
The thoughts swirled. Multitudes of them.
Countless ways to survive, to kill, to move forward.
And the best way, the only way out of this…
'Forget defense.'
'Focus only on one thing… kill… slaughter.'
'… absolute lethality.'
At that moment, her mind expanded.
Her Will was heard.
And the one force, the one concept, that had always favored her… always whispered to her like a proud parent… now acted.
{Sword is guiding you…}
{Sword is showing you the way…}
Time stopped. Space stilled.
The world held its breath.
Elizabeth and Aphasia smiled knowingly.
Then, Yuki's voice echoed through the stillness.
It was odd.
Like two swords were being ground together, screeching with divine resonance.
And yet, it wasn't eerie. It wasn't unpleasant.
It was heavenly.
As if some outergod goddess was singing a lullaby for every living being under the sky.
A voice so sweet, so powerful, so utterly beautiful… that even Elizabeth and Aphasia shivered with joy.
"My sword is…"
"…Sword of The Blasphemer."
The words echoed through the air—so brutally at odds with the sweetness of the voice that spoke them.
And yet,
Those words…
Made the entire Shadow Realm tremble.
Then—
The Shadow Realm was severed in half.
