Harem Survival System: Stranded On An Island With Beautiful Women

Chapter 15: Nina Carter

Morning arrived with the gentle warmth of the sun rising over the horizon, casting golden hues across the camp.

The air smelled of salt and freshly cooked fish, mingling with the dampness of the sea breeze.

Birds cawed in the distance, their cries carried by the wind as students stirred from their tents, rubbing the sleep from their eyes.

Lucas stretched, rolling his shoulders as he stepped out into the open. He wasn't particularly exhausted, but last night had been... entertaining.

And speaking of last night —

He turned his gaze toward Mia.

She was sitting with a small group of girls, her hands wrapped around a wooden bowl of food.

Her cheeks were puffed, her lips pursed into an adorable pout as she stabbed at the fish with her utensil.

Heh. She was still sulking about what happened.

Lucas smirked, but his attention wasn't on her face for long. His eyes flicked toward the floating numbers above her head.

[Lust: 45]

That was a big jump.

Last night, it had only been at 35 after he kissed her forehead and ran off. Clearly, she had spent some time thinking about him.

He could only imagine what sort of thoughts had run through her mind.

But that wasn't really his place to pry, now was it?

Lucas shrugged to himself and turned away. He had already accomplished what he wanted with Mia for now.

He'd let her stew for a bit, make her want him more.

After all, the chase was just as important as the catch.

But now… it was time to expand his options.

He had been scanning the camp since last night, wondering who his next target should be.

The English teacher was certainly tempting — her stats were high, and she was gorgeous and far older — but he wasn't about to jinx it.

No, he needed to be more strategic.

His next target had to be someone approachable.

Someone who already had the favor of the teachers. Someone he could use as a way to deepen his influence in the camp.

And that's when he saw her.

Nina.

Lucas' eyes locked onto the girl in the distance.

Nina was known as the most athletic girl in their class.

She wasn't just fit — she was built for movement. While the other girls carried themselves with varying degrees of exhaustion, Nina remained strong, agile, untouched by the struggles of survival.

She had a slim, athletic figure, her toned arms and legs evidence of years of discipline.

But what stood out to Lucas the most was the effortless way she moved — every motion was graceful, her body flowing like water as she carried a barrel of fish toward the cooking station.

Her long, blackish-purple hair was tied into a loose ponytail, strands of it swaying with the wind as she worked.

The color was unique, deep and rich under the sunlight, giving her an almost exotic allure.

But then —

Lucas' gaze trailed lower.

Her hips, though slender, had a subtle curve that made her movements hypnotic. Every step caused a natural sway, an effortless rhythm that drew the eyes.

And her ass —

Lucas let out a slow breath.

Her plump, round ass was the perfect balance between toned and soft. The shorts she wore clung to her frame in just the right way, emphasizing the firmness of her backside with every step she took.

'Damn.'

He had definitely found his next target.

Lucas adjusted his posture, rolling his neck as he began making his way toward her.

The key here was timing.

He couldn't just barge in — Nina was different from Mia. Mia was playful, easy to tease, eager to flirt.

Nina?

She was disciplined.

She was focused.

If he wanted to play this right, he needed to match her energy.

And so, Lucas approached with a confident but casual demeanor, acting as if he wasn't about to seduce one of the most sought-after girls in the camp.

As he got closer, Nina wiped sweat from her brow, setting the barrel down with a small grunt.

"Need a hand?" Lucas asked, offering an easy smile.

Nina turned to him, raising a brow.

Her violet eyes — sharp and observant — scanned him up and down.

Lucas stayed relaxed under her gaze, waiting.

A few seconds passed before she finally responded.

"You're offering to help?" she said, a hint of skepticism in her tone.

Lucas chuckled. "Hey, I know I don't have your stamina, but I'm not completely useless, y'know?"

She exhaled through her nose — a small amused breath, barely noticeable.

"Hmm. Fine."

Lucas stepped beside her, grabbing the other side of the barrel. Together, they lifted it with ease, carrying it toward the cooking station.

"So," Lucas began, making conversation, "you always this hardworking, or are you trying to make the rest of us look bad?"

Nina smirked. "I don't have time to slack off. The moment you stop moving, you start getting weaker."

Lucas grinned. "That's deep. Sounds like something out of an action movie."

Nina shrugged. "Maybe. But it's true."

'She's direct,' Lucas noted. 'No bullshit, no wasted words.'

He liked that.

As they set the barrel down, Lucas dusted off his hands and stretched. "Man, that thing was heavier than I expected."

Nina rolled her eyes. "You're just not used to working."

"Ouch." Lucas clutched his chest dramatically. "You wound me, Nina."

She crossed her arms, unimpressed. "You gonna whine, or are you gonna help carry the next one?"

Lucas laughed. But nevertheless they went for the next barrel.

#####

Lucas observed the shining system interface atop her head with a grim look on his face.

Not much to work with.

But that was to be expected. Unlike Mia, who was more playful and easygoing,

Nina was disciplined — sharp, athletic, and focused. She was one of the best athletes in school, a natural leader, and someone the teachers clearly favored. That made her the perfect next target.

If he could get close to her, it would only make things easier in the long run.

His eyes trailed down her form.

Yeah, she was definitely worth the effort.

"Are you just gonna stand there?"

Lucas snapped his gaze back up. Nina was looking at him with one brow raised, arms crossed.

"Or do you actually plan to help?"

He grinned. "You caught me — I was admiring the view."

She rolled her eyes. "Right. And here I thought you had an actual work ethic."

Lucas chuckled, bending down to grab a barrel.

Nina had been helping the others carry the remaining barrels of fish toward the cooking station, and though she wasn't struggling, she also wasn't one to turn down assistance.

So, he stepped in.

Together, they carried the barrels through the camp, the morning sun casting long shadows as smoke from the fire pits drifted into the air.

The scent of roasting fish filled the space, and the girls at the station were chatting among themselves as they worked.

Nina, of course, didn't join in.

She moved efficiently, focused entirely on the task, ignoring everything else.

Lucas, however, wasn't about to let the moment go to waste.

"So," he started, adjusting his grip on the barrel, "you've always been this hardworking?"

Nina shrugged. "You stop moving, you fall behind."

"Sounds exhausting."

"It's just reality."

Lucas smirked. "No fun, huh?"

She shot him a glance. "We're stranded on an island. What do you expect?"

He tilted his head. "Doesn't mean we can't enjoy ourselves a little."

For a split second, there was the faintest twitch at the corner of her lips — like she wanted to smile but stopped herself.

'Interesting.'

They kept moving, and Lucas matched her pace, carrying barrels, shifting supplies, working alongside her without complaint.

She noticed. He could see it in the way she stole a glance at him when she thought he wasn't looking.

When the teachers called the boys to prepare for fishing, Nina wiped her hands on her shorts and turned to him.

"Try not to slack off too much out there."

Lucas grinned. "Only if you promise to miss me."

She scoffed. "Doubtful."

But as he turned away, he checked his System Interface again.

Oh?

It wasn't much, but it was progress.

And Lucas?

He always played the long game.
