Harem With Venom In Marvel/Dc

Chapter 39: Chapter 39: The League of Assassins

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Kino thought for a moment and then added another authority to Xi's Hell Sovereignty, allowing her to leave Hell freely at will.

"From now on, call me 'Young Master.' Let me know if anything happens."

"Yes, Young Master."

Xi's lips curled up into an involuntary smile, and her usually calm eyes gleamed with joy. She understood very well that by granting her this authority, Kino was truly treating her as one of his own.

Returning to the real world, the sunlight outside had softened, indicating that it was now afternoon. Coulson had long since left, most likely in a hurry to report today's shocking findings.

Frank wasted no time either. He was already busy preparing to recruit personnel and transport supplies to Hell. There was so much to do that he even pulled Banner in to help.

Kino looked at Venom and Pamela with a knowing smile and said, "It's getting late. Let's get some rest!"

Pamela and Venom exchanged glances before rolling their eyes at Kino in playful annoyance. Of course, they knew exactly what he was thinking.

"Director, I'm back," Coulson said, walking briskly into the office. He placed a tablet on Nick Fury's desk and handed over a document.

Nick Fury's face darkened as he stared at the screen, watching the terrifying demons of Hell, the overwhelming power of the demon lords, and the information about the demonic contracts. His expression grew even grimmer.

"Wait, what is this saying?" Nick Fury suddenly asked.

On-screen, Kino was explaining the origins of Hell, yet the audio that played was in a completely incomprehensible language.

Coulson also noticed the anomaly. To him, everything sounded exactly the same as when he had been there.

Frowning, he picked up the document and compared it with his previous notes. Pointing to a particular line, he asked, "Director, what do you see here?"

"Nothing. It's just blank." Nick Fury's frown deepened. He knew Coulson was meticulous with his work and would never make such a simple mistake.

Coulson already had a theory. "Director, I can only say one thing—those myths are real."

Nick Fury's pupils contracted. He instantly understood. Hell was given to Kino by a divine being, and there weren't many entities in existence capable of such a feat.

Nick Fury remained silent for a long time. He reached for a pager but hesitated before setting it back down.

This pager could summon Captain Marvel, but in this situation, even she might not be of much help.

"Coulson, do you think his words are trustworthy? A demon lord who doesn't want to rule the world but instead wants to reform Hell?" Fury's voice carried deep skepticism.

"I believe he can be trusted. He was once human," Coulson answered. If he ignored Kino's status as a demon king, Kino actually came across as a polite and well-mannered person.

"And besides," Coulson added solemnly, "we have no choice but to believe. There is no force on Earth capable of stopping him."

Nick Fury tapped his fingers rhythmically on the desk, lost in thought. "Coulson, maintain open communication with him. Meanwhile, I'll assign someone to infiltrate his group. If we can obtain demonic power..."

"Understood, Director," Coulson acknowledged.

As he reached the door, Nick Fury's voice called out again.

"For the sake of humanity, I appreciate your efforts, Coulson."

"It's not a problem, Director," Coulson replied before walking out with firm determination.

DC Universe

In the DC world, Kino trekked through the vast, snowy mountains. If someone were to ask why he had come here, the answer was simple—he was out of money.

Back in the Marvel Universe, he spent his days playing video games with Pamela and Venom, occasionally flirting with Gwen when she visited.

They indulged in delicious food, drove luxury sports cars, and traveled the world. It was the kind of life he had never even dared to dream of in his past life.

However, reality struck hard—his 50 million dollars had dwindled to just 5 million.

There was no way around it. To realize his vision of a paradise, he needed to recruit people, buy supplies, machines, and even land to establish businesses. The money was simply not enough.

Although he still had a 20% stake in Stark Industries, the large-scale reconstruction of Hell required a massive amount of resources and manpower.

And Hell itself had no special resources to generate income.

He had to go out and make money.

And who had the most money?

The wealthy.

And what did they value the most?

Life.

So, he set his sights on the Lazarus Pit.

The legendary revival pool of the DC Universe could extend life, restore youth, and even bring the dead back to life.

There was just a tiny drawback—a bit of a side effect. But that wasn't an issue. Marvel and DC had no shortage of genius scientists who could improve it.

And if they couldn't, he could always dilute it.

For this trip to the DC Universe, Kino had only brought Venom with him. Pamela was busy cultivating plants with stronger vitality to adapt to the environment of Hell.

"We're here," Kino murmured as he gazed up at the castle atop the snowy peak—the headquarters of the League of Assassins.

He turned his eyes to the snow-covered ground and called out, "Can someone inform your leader that I'm here?"

...

Silence.

"Give me a turn later. It's been a while since I've had some action." Venom's voice echoed in Kino's mind.

"Haven't I been giving you enough exercise?" Kino quipped.

"Want me to show you just how much energy I have right now?" Venom retorted with a menacing tone.

"Forget it, we have important business to handle," Kino quickly responded, knowing all too well how bold Venom could get in such matters.

As he continued forward, shadows suddenly leaped out from the snow.

A group of assassins clad in white ninja garb surrounded Kino, and without hesitation, a volley of throwing knives shot toward him.

"I gave you a chance," Kino said flatly.

As soon as the words left his lips, Venom's black tendrils surged out, covering Kino's body and blocking the flying knives with ease.

Seeing that their projectiles were ineffective, the assassins swiftly drew their katanas and lunged at Kino like a white whirlwind, their eyes devoid of fear.

Venom let out a cold laugh. Her fists moved with lightning speed, cutting through the air with sharp wind currents.

A series of dull thuds echoed as the first wave of assassins was sent flying.

Their bodies arced through the air before crashing into the snow, the crisp sound of breaking bones mingling with the crimson stains spreading across the white landscape.

The once-pristine snowfield was now splattered with blood, creating a stark yet striking contrast.

As Venom effortlessly took down another attacker, she scoffed, "I don't get it. It's the modern era, and they're still using melee weapons."

Kino chuckled. "It's for the sake of the plot. Otherwise, how would Batman win if the League of Assassins were armed with rifles?"

Venom snorted. "That's just dumb. I don't know what these people are thinking."

As she spoke, another assassin attempted to restrain her with chains, only for Venom to yank him in and crush his skull with a single punch.

Quote of the Chapter:

"The rich fear death more than anything else. And that is why they will pay any price to escape it."
