Chapter 19: Chapter 19: A Lesson in Mayhem
Kyle was completely absorbed in the excitement of mastering the "Yasuo Fun Charm," so much so that he didn't notice the class time slipping away.
The three quickly packed their books and wands, then hurried out into the corridor.
"Kyle, are you coming with us to Transfiguration?" Marietta asked, noticing the Transfiguration textbook in Kyle's hand.
"Yes, but I'll need you to show me the way. I don't know where the classroom is."
The Transfiguration classroom was on the second floor of the castle. Despite having two experienced guides who'd been at Hogwarts for over five months, it still took nearly twenty minutes to get from the fourth floor to the second.
Kyle couldn't help but wonder if he'd boarded a detour-driven "black cab."
He even considered whether Cho and Marietta would end up in Azkaban if he jumped off the stairs.
When the three finally arrived at the Transfiguration classroom, Professor Minerva McGonagall was already waiting.
Professor McGonagall wore square glasses, her black hair tightly coiled into a bun, and she was dressed in a deep green robe.
When Kyle saw her stern expression, he instantly thought of his high school's headmaster from his past life.
They weren't just similar—they were practically identical.
As the class bell rang, Professor McGonagall began, "Transfiguration is the most complex and dangerous of all subjects taught at Hogwarts."
"Anyone found messing around in my class will leave and not come back."
As she spoke, she specifically glanced at Kyle, who was sitting in the front row.
Kyle was certain that this warning was directed at him, likely because Professor Flitwick had briefed her about his earlier incident.
Meeting Professor McGonagall's piercing gaze through her square glasses, Kyle, whose conscience was clear, didn't feel the slightest bit guilty. Instead, he stared back with an intense look.
The corners of Professor McGonagall's mouth twitched upward. It had been years since she'd seen a student so brazen.
With a wave of her wand, she turned the lectern beside her into a majestic lion, which let out a deafening roar before lunging toward Kyle.
Startled, Kyle instinctively kicked out. The heavy wooden desk shot forward with incredible speed, slamming into the lion with tremendous force.
"Who's in pain! Take this big spit!"
A stream of water erupted from Kyle's mouth, morphing into a ferocious shark midair.
The water shark caught up with the lion, which had been knocked back by the desk, and opened its gaping maw, biting down on the lion's head with a sickening crunch.
Bang!
Bang!
The headless lion and the heavy desk crashed into the wall with two dull thuds.
The desk shattered into pieces, while the lion gradually transformed back into the lectern.
Uh… why was the lectern missing a corner?
Crack, crack…
Countless spiderweb-like cracks quickly spread across the antique lectern, which then crumbled into a pile of fragments, lying on the floor as if accusing someone of brutality.
Professor McGonagall: "…"
The entire class: "…"
Kyle: "…"
Professor! This isn't my fault! You started it!
Professor McGonagall, drenched from the exploding shark, was livid.
Kyle stared nervously at the furious professor. Was he about to be thrown out of class?
He might be the first student in Hogwarts history to be expelled from a classroom before even officially enrolling.
Professor McGonagall took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.
She told herself that it wasn't Kyle's fault—she'd been the one showing off the complexities of Transfiguration in the first place.
But when her gaze swept over the corner where the wreckage and the massive puddle of water lay, her face twitched, and her composure wavered once more.
Grindelwald's son… what kind of little monster was he?
The strength Kyle had shown when he kicked the desk probably rivaled that of a troll.
