Harry Potter: The Legend of Nero Ravenclaw

Chapter 28: Author's Note (2) and Poll

Hey everyone,

I genuinely appreciate all the feedback, passionate discussions, even the criticisms. It's clear that you care about the story, and that motivates me to keep pushing the narrative forward.

I also want to mention that I'm writing this story in my free time, driven by my passion for storytelling and my dedication to crafting an engaging narrative. Balancing this with other commitments isn't always easy, but your enthusiasm and involvement made it all worthwhile so far. Every chapter is a new challenge, and your feedback helps me refine the story as we go.

I've more than noticed that Nero's decision to reveal his memories to Dumbledore has sparked quite a bit of debate. I understand why, it's an unexpected choice, and it challenges the norms of reincarnation fiction. I expected that this this may be a controversial narrative path, but I did not expect it to spark such strong reactions.

In this AU, Dumbledore plays a crucial role in helping Nero unravel a deeper mystery surrounding Horcruxes. In this version of the story, Horcruxes are not merely dark objects, they are connected to a powerful secret with far-reaching implications. To explore this new dimension early-on, Nero needed Dumbledore's knowledge and insight.

This decision isn't about making things easier for Nero, it's about creating a more intricate plot, filled with tension, growth, and unexpected alliances. By involving Dumbledore, I'm introducing new conflicts and challenges that will shape both characters in unpredictable ways.

I completely understand if this approach feels like a break from the traditional structure of reincarnation stories. However, I believe it adds complexity and depth, paving the way for narrative twists that wouldn't be possible otherwise.

If Nero kept this secret, he'd be severely limited in his ability to investigate Horcruxes, especially as a first-year student. The storyline would have to be delayed significantly, which would affect the pacing and development of the plot. Bringing Dumbledore into the fold accelerates the narrative while also adding layers of intrigue and danger.

Your Voice Matters:

I truly value your opinions, and since this is a collaborative journey, I want to hear your thoughts on how to proceed. After reading all your comments, I've realized that opinions are quite divided.

So, I've decided to open this up for a vote:

How Should the Story Move Forward?

1) Continue with Nero sharing his secret: Let's see how this decision regarding Dumbledore unfolds and how it impacts the Horcrux storyline and Nero's growth.

2) Rewrite with Nero keeping the secret: This would delay the Horcrux storyline but keep the reincarnation secret intact, preserving the traditional approach to this genre.

Please vote by commenting with your choice or by sharing your thoughts in detail. Your feedback will help me shape the next chapters and decide the best direction for the story.

Thank you once again for your patience, your support, and your honest feedback.
