Harry Potter: Toji Potter

Chapter 172: Joining a Familia

After spending the day exploring Orario, Harry and Bell had seen everything from the grand Babel Tower to the lively Main Street, even sneaking a peek at the infamous red-light district—though Bell had turned red like a tomato the moment they entered.

Now, with sightseeing out of the way, it was time for the real goal: becoming Adventurers.

The Pantheon, Orario's massive Guild Hall, was bustling with activity. People from all walks of life filled the building—seasoned Adventurers collecting rewards, fresh recruits seeking guidance, and overwhelmed Guild employees trying to keep things running smoothly.

Harry and Bell navigated through the crowd and approached a counter, where they were met with a striking sight—a beautiful half-elf girl with green eyes and a polite yet firm demeanor.

"Hello," she greeted with a professional smile. "I'm Eina Tulle, a Guild Advisor. How can I help you today?"

Harry stepped forward, his usual charming grin in place. "We'd like to sign up as Adventurers. How do we do that?"

Eina nodded, quickly retrieving a stack of forms. "It's quite simple. You'll need to fill out your name, age, occupation, and Familia."

Harry and Bell immediately froze at the last part.

"Uh… Familia?" Bell asked hesitantly.

Eina blinked. "Yes. You'll need to be part of a Familia before you can officially register. Adventurers receive a Falna, a blessing from a deity, and the Guild requires that information to track your status and progress."

Harry glanced at Bell. They hadn't thought about that.

Seeing their predicament, Eina offered, "If you don't have one yet, I can show you a list of deities currently recruiting."

That sounded promising.

Eina handed them a list of recruiting Familia, which contained some of the biggest names in Orario:

Loki Familia

Freya Familia

Hephaistos Familia

Ganesha Familia

Soma Familia

Harry scanned the list and smirked. "Well, let's give it a shot."

What followed was one of the most frustrating experiences of their lives.

Each Familia they approached gave one excuse or another for turning them down.

Loki Familia? "Sorry, Loki-sama is not here right now."

Freya Familia? "We're not recruiting new members at the moment."

Hephaistos Familia? "You'd need to be a blacksmith to join."

Ganesha Familia? "Ganesha-sama is busy… being Ganesha."

After an entire day of rejections, Harry and Bell found themselves defeated, tired, and starving.

Sitting on the sidewalk, they indulged in a Jagamarukun stand—fried potato snacks that were surprisingly delicious.

Bell sighed between bites. "I thought for sure we'd find someone willing to take us."

Harry leaned back, stretching his legs. "Guess we're just too intimidating for them."

Bell snorted. "Or maybe we're just unlucky."

Just as they were about to leave, a petite girl with silky black twin pigtails and a modest but curvy figure suddenly appeared before them.

"Hey, you two! Wanna join my Familia?"

Bell nearly choked on his Jagamarukun. Harry, however, calmly raised an eyebrow.

The girl suddenly facepalmed, as if realizing she had forgotten something important.

"Oh, right! My name's Hestia!"

Harry studied Hestia, quietly observing the difference between this version of her and the one he had once met back in his original world—the Greek Pantheon of the Harry Potter Universe.

This Hestia was… smaller. Still beautiful, but slightly less radiant than the divine presence he had known. However, there was no doubt in his mind that she was a true goddess. His Avatar could sense it instinctively, as if the world itself recognized her divine authority.

But more importantly, she was willing to take them in.

And so, Harry and Bell followed Hestia to her home, the so-called Hestia Familia Headquarters.

The process of receiving a Falna was, in Harry's opinion, rather simple.

Lay on your stomach.

Goddess pricks her finger.

Drop of divine blood onto the back.

Boom!

Falna unlocked, potential unsealed.

For Bell, this was a once-in-a-lifetime moment. He was nervous but excited, eager to become an official Adventurer.

For Harry? It should have been nothing special.

Except…

Oh. Shi—

The moment Hestia's divine blood touched his back, he realized something was wrong.

He had underestimated just how much power he had put into this Avatar. It had been nothing compared to his true self, but by Orario's standards, he was already beyond anything this world had ever seen.

And Hestia? She had just unlocked it all.

Instantly, a surge of energy flooded through his vessel, divine and magical might bleeding into his form. His strength skyrocketed, his body becoming even more powerful as his divine self unconsciously pumped more energy into the Avatar.

By the time it was done… he was essentially untouchable.

Level 9.5… maybe even Level 10 in both physical and magical power.

Harry sighed internally. Great. This is going to be a pain.

At least, now that he had the Falna, he could study this world's divine energy and see if it held any interesting properties.

When Bell and Harry received their status sheets, they both expected to see their stats at I0—the standard for new Adventurers.

And they were right.

The real shocker lay in their Skills and Magic.

Bell Cranel

Skill:

Liaris Freese (Growth Speed Increases based on Feelings)

Skill: Physical Damage Resistance – G

Harry Potter

Skill: Liaris Freese (Same as Bell's)

Skill: Arcanum Resistance – A

Skill: Magic Resistance – A

Harry blinked. Arcanum Resistance?

That was… interesting.

Even divine authority wouldn't work against him easily. That meant even the gods would have trouble affecting him.

Bell and Harry exchanged a look before agreeing immediately:

Their Status would remain locked.

Meaning that only Hestia could see it, and no one else.

That was for the best. If people saw their abilities, it would cause too much trouble.

With their registration complete, Hestia finally took them back to their home—

Or rather, a tiny, run-down, shabby church.

Bell was disappointed but tried to hide it. Harry, on the other hand, immediately sensed something deeper.

A feeling of home.

Sure, the place wasn't fancy or grand, but it had something rare—

A warm, familial atmosphere, something worth way more than a big and fancy house.

Bell took the bed near the wall, which left Harry with…

The couch.

Not ideal, but he didn't mind.

What he hadn't expected, however, was for Hestia to suddenly climb onto his chest, curling up like a content cat.

Harry raised an eyebrow. "Comfortable?"

Hestia, without an ounce of shame, snuggled closer. "Mhm."

Well, okay then.

It wasn't exactly the most comfortable position, but it was… strangely familial.

Even Bell, watching from the side, smiled at the sight.

And so, despite everything—the power surges, the rejections, the exhausting day—Harry and Bell fell asleep.
