Chapter 181: Conquest
THUD!
THUD!!
THUD!!!
the sound of heals thudding in the distance, as it caught Adam's attention, his eyes open slowly at the sound of it.
He need no introduction, as the made enter this room, they made their presence known.
"My Lord, everyone has gathered in the collsiuium."
"Yeah~Yeah... Let's get this over with."
With those words said, both Berreta and Adam left the throne room, as the head for the collsiuium. It was there that Adam introduced himself as king before people.
"They await your word my king. Your rule. Your confirmation as King of the Sidhe."
He exhaled, long and quiet, then slowly rose from the throne. The crown above his head adjusted, rotating in sync with his movement, the energy thickening in the air like the calm before a storm.
"Tch… Guess there is no backing out now."
He muttered to himself.
He stepped down from the dais and stood before Berreta.
"How do I look?"
She glanced him over, her reply subtle.
"Scary."
Adam chuckled lightly.
"Good answer."
Then, with one final nod, he turned toward the doors.
"Let's go."

Later…
The roar of the coliseum was deafening. A thunderous, primal noise that could shake the bones of even the hardiest monster.
Thousands packed the massive arena carved deep into the heart of the Sidhe stronghold, beasts, hybrids, nobles, exiles. Some perched on ledges. Others loomed in the shadows. All drawn here by one thing.
The new king.
The one who had killed the Tyrant Alustus.
The outsider.
The monster who now wore the crown.
Every corner of the arena pulsed with restless energy, rage, fear, awe, curiosity. And then, as if the very atmosphere responded to the rising tension, a sudden pressure rippled through the space of the collsiuium.
It surge outwards.
As Adam descended slowly, hovering above the arena floor, wrapped in a radiant aura of dread, and his boundless Monster Energy that twisted the light around him. His crown glowed fiercely, spinning just above his head, while the rest of him remained calm and indifferent to the crowd.
The crowd fell into dead silence.
"I am Adam."
His voice echoed across the coliseum, as everyone heard him.
As he continued.
"The one who ended Alustus, and taketh the crown."
The tension in the arena thickened at his words.
"I know what you're thinking. That I'm not one of you. That I don't belong here."
He floated lower, just above the bloodstained sand of the arena pit.
"Maybe you're right."
"But tell me, how long has it been since this kingdom actually changed? "
"I'm not interested in being a king who rules from the shadows. I'm here to bring light to the filth, to drag the potential out of every damn one of you and put it to use."
"I won't beg for loyalty. I won't waste time with empty threats. My rule is simple. You evolve… or you get left behind."
"You want strength? Follow me. You want purpose? Serve me. You want chaos?"
His eyes flared gold, reptilian slits gleaming beneath his crown.
"Then follow me, and I will gladly give it to you."
The crowd didn't respond at the first, as they think deeply on his offer.
Until one giant monster began to clap, then several after him, until gutteral cheers echoed from the stands.
Most if not all were an orchestra of beastly screeches, and monsterous cries, the collective scream spreading dread in the surrounding.
RrrrRROOOOAAAAaaaAaaOoRRR!!!...
Hearing this, Adam smirked, finally, he was acknowledged as the new King.
With that moment passed, he shifted the tone and made his first declaration.
"Alright then. As my first order as King, we're establishing a proper military force. Any monster with experience, or those interested in serving, report to Berreta to apply. With that you are all dismissed."
Right after saying those words the Monster started to leave the Collsiuium, going back to what they where doing prior to now.
Meanwhile, Adam still remained at the bottom, but at the same time.
He soon began to hear a familiar voice in his head.
[Notice!! You have accomplished a feat, your Lore has been updated]
[Notice!! Your Lore Core has been updated with a new Lore]
[Lore achieved: Chapter 4: Rising Tyrant]
[Congratulations!! A New Lore Ability Has Been Obtained: Conquest]
- Conquest: The ability to fully administrate your kingdom and domain. Anything, living or non-living, within your territory falls under your control. This power grants you a mental map of everything within your kingdom, allowing you to see all events occurring in real time.
With this ability, you can observe every event happening in your domain, read the minds and thoughts of its inhabitants, and even control their actions. You can issue mental commands, spoken or unspoken, and those within your kingdom will subconsciously obey. You can also communicate with anyone inside your territory instantly.
You can rearrange buildings, influence birthrates, and manage every aspect of your domain's development. Essentially, it is a kingdom-building ability. Its effectiveness applies to any area that officially belongs to you. However, its influence may weaken when used on individuals significantly stronger than you.
Upon hearing this, Adam's eyes widened in surprise as he muttered to himself.
"An ability that allows full control over a entire kingdom… Hmmm, I can already imagine Mordred excitement. Still, this is good."
As he spoke, a chorus of voices suddenly called out to him, small, playful, and mostly curious.
"The new king is big!"
One tiny Sidhe giggled as she fluttered around him, leaving trails of ethereal light behind her as she flew around him.
Then another zipped over and added.
"Your Majesty, Your Majesty! Are you a Sidhe too? You smell a lot like us!"
She asked playfully.
"Don't be foolish, Lem."
Another voice chimed in, a male correcting the excitable girl.
"The king is way too big to be one of us."
From what Adam had gathered, Alustus had been rather close with the Sidhe, so their openness toward him made sense.
Then another curious male piped up:
"Hey, Your Majesty, what kind of monster are you?"
That drew more voices in quick succession:
"Yeah, yeah, tell us, tell us!"
"I really wanna know more about Big Bro!"
"How did you kill Father?"
"Yeah! How strong are you?!"
Question after question flew at him like arrows. Yet, instead of being annoyed, Adam actually smiled.
"Hehehe, alright, alright, don't swarm me now. I'll answer your questions."
He cleared his throat and continued:
"As for my race monster wise…
He said thinking back on Echidna.
Not choosing to reveal his true race as a Shinso Human.
"I guess you could say I am a Gordon. Just a very special one."
"Gordon? Haaa, oh! You must be one of those beautiful snake ladies!"
One male Sidhe said with wide eyes, prompting Adam to chuckle and shake his head.
"Snake-type monster, yes. Lady, not quite. Like I said, very special type of Gordon. Cough, cough. But that aside, little ones, I've got work to do. So I'll be excusing myself now ok, see all later."
Without another word, a flash of green light surged before the group. Adam had used Memory Point to teleport away from the crowd of curious Sidhe. In an instant, he was back in the throne room, alone once more, sitting upon his throne.
But not for long.
New information surged through Adam like a flood...a deep, instinctual understanding of how to wield his newly acquired Lore Ability.
The mechanics clicked in his mind instantly. A transparent screen shimmered into view before him, displaying various locations throughout the castle all at once.
He could see everything.
Hear everything.
And he was vividly aware of every event unfolding in his kingdom, both public and private.
Every subject was visible to him. Their personal data, their Lore Abilities (if they possessed one), their age, health, current condition, even their thoughts and memories… Nothing was hidden.
It was as though the entire nation stood naked before his gaze.
Even their potential, what they could one day become, was laid bare before him.
However to test the true depth of this power, Adam focused on a random Sidhe at the edge of the screen.
He gave a simple, mental command.
(Raise your hand)
The small Sidhe paused mid-flight. A strange sensation washed over him, unseen, unexplainable. He didn't know why, but the urge struck him, and he raised his hand upward.
There was no external force. No obvious compulsion. To him, it simply felt right, or rather felt natural.
Watching this unfold, Adam's eyes widened again.
"This power…
He muttered.
"It's completely broken."
He decided to go a step further. A more complex command.
(Fly outside. Find a random mountain. And destroy it)
The Sidhe in question, a lower A-Rank among a cluster of B-Rank peers, suddenly jolted into action. It darted out of the castle, weaving through its twisting halls and corridors until it found an exit.
Once free from the fortress's confines, it ascended sharply into the sky. From that vantage point, it could see the floating citadel it called home. But it paid no mind. Instead, it turned northward, scanning the distant terrain with analytical precision.
Unlike a normal monster, this Sidhe had enhanced perception, tactical, as it was sharp. It soon located its target far in the distance.
Then, with a thunderous crack, it broke the sound barrier.
Then another.
And another.
It soared at Mach 200, a thunderous sonic boom trailing behind it. Even from afar, Adam could still see through its eyes, hear through its ears, even smell the distant mountain air.
Seven minutes passed.
Then, at last, it arrived.
A vast stretch of untouched land lay before it. Alien trees, jagged rock formations, and roaming monsters littered the terrain, some familiar, others unknown.
But there it was: the target.
A colossal mountain, standing over 18 miles high.
Without hesitation, the Sidhe hovered above it. Energy surged through its body as it lifted a single finger. A tiny orb of water, no larger than a speck of dust, formed at its tip. But within that speck was an unnatural amount of compressed liquid, enough to drown a large city a hundred times over.
[Water Affinity: Compress Annihilation]
The droplet fell.
It was small, smaller than even a drop of rain.
And yet, it was heavier than entire kingdoms put together.
As it descended, the bonds holding the compression fractured and...
Then came the rapture.
BOOOOOOOM!!
The instant it struck, the compression ruptured in a violent, omnidirectional explosion. The unleashed force was unimaginable, a jet stream of destruction more powerful than anything naturally occurring in nature.
The mountain didn't just shatter upon it release, rather due to immense force, it vaporized.
Rock, stone, minerals, all of it, was torn to pieces in an instant.
A blinding white explosion of rapidly expanding water bloomed outward like a second sun, as friction within it build boiling the water as it goes along.
The land below crumbled. Shockwaves tore through the terrain, causing a massive earthquake that shook the ancient stone foundations of the region.
When the light faded and the dust settled…
A giant crater remained, 30 miles deep, stretching over 60 miles wide, in the shape of a perfect sphere.
The mountain was gone. In its place, seawater began rushing in from the shattered coastline, filling the newly formed abyss.
A massive inland sea was born where once a mountain had stood.
And through it all, Adam watched. Both silent, awestruck.
He had barely begun to grasp the true scope of his this new power.
Still he was more happy that he now had control over the entire Sidhe race, if this one Sidhe could do this imagine an army of them.
"Well, well… maybe I can use these guys to improve safety in Minerva's village. She is terrible at managing things, but with my powers, I can step in exactly where she is weakest."
