He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact

Chapter 269. Sorry but I refuse 2

Under the gazes of the onlookers, Kailen replied.

"Sorry but I refuse. I have a busy schedule, beast."

The whole place descended into palpable silence at Kailen's words.

Not only had this guy refused the offer to join the student council, the most powerful student organisation in the academy, he had also done so in a very disrespectful way.

He had insulted the student council president, one of the seven councillors of the student council, and a centaur at that, using the very term centaurs hated to be used to address them.

Being called a beast.

With the mocking expression on his face, they could tell Kailen Darkhaven had done it intentionally.

Everyone was wondering whether or not they had heard his words rightfully.

It was common knowledge that centaurs hated being referred to as beasts.

It was something that set them off entirely. Unlike other demihumans who didn't give a damn what the other races in the universe called them, centaurs naturally had this hatred towards being referred to as beasts.

Tyrax, gaze full of cold, killing intent, stared at Kailen, wanting to rip the bastard into shreds.

But if there was one thing he had as a leader, it was composure, and that kept him from acting on his anger.

He had a reputation to uphold as the student council president after all, bound by academy rules. He couldn't just go out of his way, randomly killing anyone who offended him without using the right methods certified by the academy.

If he wanted to deal with this bastard, he could only do it in the life and death arena.

Although he had been surprised the bastard had been able to withstand his pressure, he had come to the realization that Kailen probably had some weird way of withstanding his pressure, as there were unknown and mysterious ways of achieving certain feats in the vast universe.

It was simply just that. There was no way the guy could even withstand a single attack from him.

He would use this guy as a platform to teach the other first years a lesson about running their mouths anyhow.

"Heh. A little bit of strength, young man, and you think you can run your mouth anyhow.

If you had rejected the offer to join the student council respectfully, I wouldn't have pursued this matter anymore. But since you decided to act foolishly, I will teach you a lesson. If you dare, meet me in the life and death arena and let's see if you can act tough as you are acting now."

Kailen sneered. "Do you think I'm a fool?

You are clearly stronger than me. Why would I want to throw my life away just like that.

I will meet you in the next six months. I will give you the most painful death possible in the life and death arena, six months today."

Before Kailen disappeared, he added.

"Also, I'm not interested in joining any society or faction in the academy or whatever you'd want to call it. I plan on forming my own faction."

Before the onlookers, now turned his star struck audience, could process the absurd words he had just spoken, he turned to look at Cimeris and Sanguine, standing beside Jin, staring back at him with a scornful expression, probably thinking that Kailen had signed his inevitable death warrant by challenging the student council president.

"See you in the life and death arena a week from now. I hope you can wait for that long, because I'm busy now," Kailen said. "You wanted to kill me right?"

Cimeris, Sanguine, and Jin were puzzled at his words.

How did he know about their interaction with Jin?

Also, another thought that crossed their minds, alongside the onlookers, was how he was making Jin feel like fighting Kailen in the life and death arena was a favor Kailen was doing him.

He was too busy to fight Jin now, so Jin should wait?

What the hell was wrong with this guy?

Kailen gave them the most carefree smile, which to Cimeris and Sanguine seemed like the smile of a vimodial contractor sucking the life out of their prey.

Kailen reminded them of something he had told them during the entrance exams, one that helped them figure out how he had found out about their interaction with Jin.

"Like I said, I have my ways of finding out about any nonsense you try to pull. After I deal with your senior brother, you're next."

Not in the least bit concerned with the fearful expressions on their faces, Kailen turned to the Harkers and Darkhavens, sending them a look of mockery, sneered, and finally added, "How does it feel finding out your arc enemy is the Crimson Devil you tried so hard to recruit?"

He turned to look at Bryce. "Nice present isn't it. Don't you think so, cousin?"

Bryce had an extremely unpleasant expression on his face ,one that would make a great hermorhoid meme way back on earth.

With that, Kailen turned into a streak of light and bolted, with Lian Yu following him—having gestured to the now relieved Anaya, thanking her stars that nothing had happened to him, that he would meet her very soon.

He was completely shocked about the daring nature of his senior brother as he followed him silently.

This guy was a lunatic, daring to even challenge the student council president.

Not only that, he had proposed to challenge Jin, a prodigy of the Arcane Empowerment Sect, to a life and death battle in a week's time.

Yet, he strangely felt like Kailen Darkhaven was gonna accomplish this feat.

And what was this about a society he was gonna form?

A first year student forming a society?

That had never happened in the history of the academy.

That statement alone meant so many things.

"Senior brother, what did you mean by forming a society?"

Kailen answered. "It's just as you are thinking. The society is gonna be named the Sword Tribunal Society. I decided to form it to honor the dedication of my father to the Sword Tribunal Sect . But first, although I'm aware of how the sect got destroyed through written accounts, I'd like to hear about it directly from you."
