He Clings to Me Every Night

Chapter 785 - 785: Calling Professor Winnie

Chapter 785: Chapter 785: Calling Professor Winnie

Daniel Marshall firmly stated, “If Joseph Charles wants to stay alive, he can only come to me. He will absolutely not let the Thompson siblings find him first, he knows it’s a dead end.”

“They definitely didn’t anticipate that after so many years, Ella Charles’s son would relentlessly pursue them. Those who should be panic-stricken, those who should be afraid, should be them!”

“…”

Anger shot unrestrained from Daniel’s eyes and his voice carried an increasing fervor.

“They can’t trace anything to my mother since I am protecting her. I am not like my bastard father, I will never let anyone hurt her, and I will never let her suffer again. I will make sure to obtain justice for her. The ones who deserve sleepless nights and nightmares are those guilty siblings.”

Adam Howard nodded slightly, “Alright, I’ll spread the news for you.”

“Make sure to keep an eye on the Thompson siblings, as well as Matthew Marshall and Benjamin Thompson, as they may likely relay information in secret. They are undoubtedly planning something behind the scenes. They will not give up easily.”

“I got it. I’ll remind everyone,” Adam replied.

“Nothing else, hang up the call now.”

After Adam hung up, Daniel kept on smoking.

He could not shake the image of that disturbing nest of dead mice from his mind.

The mice were hairless, their whole bodies a nauseating fleshy pink color.

Being sent such dreadful things showed the profound darkness in the sender’s heart, a complete scoundrel.

Daniel firmly believed that Lily Lee was not only backed by her foster mother, otherwise, she would never send him a nest of dead mice.

There was more meaning hidden in it.

They certainly wanted those dead children to disturb his peace of mind or trigger his illness.

After finishing a cigarette, Daniel called Professor Winnie.

After talking to Professor Winnie for about ten minutes, Daniel’s mood calmed down.

Hearing the sound of a car, Daniel went downstairs.

Seeing Olivia Jenkins come back, Daniel casually gave her a hug.

“Darling, did your shopping go smoothly?”

“I may not eat much for dinner tonight. Abigail talked about food eight out of every ten sentences while shopping. She really impresses me.”

On the spur of the moment, Daniel stole a kiss, “Mrs. Ingram said, you tried on a wedding dress today. It’s beautiful and fits you well.”

Olivia’s long curled eyelashes trembled gently and she looked up at him, “I tried it, and it feels good.”

Daniel’s profound eyes fastened on Olivia, and he said in a gentle and charming voice, “Darling, you don’t like winter weddings, what if we go to country X? Their summer is our winter. The seascape there is particularly beautiful. A wedding by the sea should be nice.”

It was now September in Serene City, and long-sleeved clothes were needed, or even a coat in the morning and evening as the weather turned cooler. Olivia didn’t prefer being in a wedding dress in such weather as she was particularly sensitive to the cold.

After thinking for a few seconds, Olivia said, “Darling, just follow your plan. However, ask grandpa about it, and get his opinion.”

“Yes! I think grandpa will respect our decision.”

Suddenly, Auntie Jane asked, “Mr and Mrs, should we start having supper?”

Daniel said, “Let’s have supper.”

Immediately after, Daniel kissed Olivia’s face, “Darling, if you can’t eat much, just take some vegetables and soup. When you feel hungry, I will accompany you for a late-night snack.”

Olivia had a sweet smile on her face, she too kissed Daniel, “Alright, darling!”
