Help, I'm A Cringy Sonic OC!

Chapter 7: The Last One Saved

E-101 Beta stood (or well flew) before you, his once sleek and menacing form now a twisted, monstrous parody of his former self. His body was a patchwork of metal and wires, with spikes jutting out in all directions and eyes that glowed with a fiery hatred. "Hello, big brother," Gamma's voice was a mix of sadness and anger.

"What has he done to you?" you mumered, your heart heavy with the sight of the tortured robot. Beta didn't respond, his now singular eye locked on the emerald in your hand, "Give the Chaos Emerald to me." He said, colder than any if the other E-Series had been.

Before you had time to react, the air was torn apart by the sound of "Sonic, Tails!" Amy exclaimed, her voice filled with relief. Sonic and Tails skidded to a halt beside you, their eyes wide at the sight of the monstrous Beta.

"Striker, Amay, what's going on here?" Sonic asked, his voice tight with tension. Gamma's shoulders fell slightly, his gaze never leaving his twisted sibling. "This is Gamma, he's on our side," you awnsered, gesturing over to Gamma "Beta is not." You said pointing to him.

Beta's eye narrowed, his robotic body coiled like a spring ready to pounce. "I can work with that." He awnsered simply before lunging at you.

Sonic and Tails didn't waste a second, jumping into the fray. Sonic spun into a blur of blue, his homing attack crashing into Beta's side, while Tails whipped out his twin-tailed propeller to fly around, dodging the robot's swipes and peppering him with shots from his handheld blaster. The air was filled with the sounds of clanging metal and the smell of burning circuits as you all fought for the fate of the Emerald.

But Beta was relentless, his programming overridden by the power of the emerald that now fueled his rage. You could see the pain in Gamma's eyes as he watched his 'brother' attack without mercy. You knew you had to end this, that Beta would not stop untill he was dead.

With a sudden jolt of inspiration, you recalled a Pikachu move from the Pokémon games: Electro-Web. You hadn't used it since your transformation, but now seemed like the perfect time. "Hold on!" you shouted to the others, and you took a deep breath, focusing all your energy into your hands.

The air crackled with electricity as you flung the web forward. It shot out like a bolt of lightning, wrapping around Beta's legs and torso, pinning him to the ground. His metallic body writhed and convulsed as the electricity surged through him, his movements becoming erratic and jerky.

The animals watched from the elevator, their eyes wide with fear and confusion. "It's okay," you reassured them, your voice tight with the strain of holding the web. "We're going to stop him."

Gamma stepped forward, his fist glowing with the same power that had fueled his earlier battle. The emerald in your hand pulsed in time with your heartbeat as he raised his hand, his gaze never leaving Beta's struggling form. "Thank you, Striker," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "For showing me what it means to be alive."

With all the strength of his newfound freedom, Gamma slammed his gun-hand into Beta's chest and fired, the impact sending a shockwave through the deck. The monstrous robot's lights flickered and dimmed, his movements slowing as the power drained from him.

For a moment, it seemed like everything had stopped. The wind, the noise, the chaos—all of it fell away as Gamma's shot hit home, and the light in Beta's eye flickered out. The robot's body slumped to the ground, the eyes going dark.

Sonic looked at you with a solemn nod, understanding in his eyes. "We need to get these animals off the Egg Carrier," he said, his voice urgent. "It's not safe for them here."

Tails stepped up, his propeller spinning to life. "I'll take Amy and the animals," he said, his voice steady despite the fear in his eyes. "You guys can handle the rest."

Amy looked at you with a mix of determination and fear. "Be careful," she whispered, her grip tightening around the animals clinging to her. You nodded, your heart heavy with the weight of her words.

With a final pat on Gamma's shoulder, you watched as Tails led the way into the elevator, the animals huddled around them for comfort. The doors slammed shut, and the elevator descended into the bowels of the ship, leaving you and Gamma alone on the deck.

The Egg Carrier groaned and shuddered beneath you, a testament to the damage it had sustained during the battle. The lights flickered, and the once-steady hum of the engines grew erratic, like the heartbeat of a dying beast.

Gamma looked down at the lifeless form of his brother, his fist still smoking from the impact. "We must hurry," he said, his voice heavy with the weight of his decision. "The emeralds' power is growing too strong for even Eggman to contain."

With a nod, you took off, the wind whipping through your quills as you sprinted towards the control room, the epicenter of the Egg Carrier's power. The once-pristine corridors were now scarred with battle marks and the acrid smell of burnt metal. The floor trembled beneath your feet as the ship's systems grew more unstable by the second.

As you and Gamma moved deeper into the Carrier, you couldn't help but think back to Gamma's earlier battles, remembering the Jet Booster that had been crucial to your success. "Gamma," you said, the words catching in your throat. "You never got to the Jet Booster, did you?"

Gamma paused, his heavy steps echoing through the hallway. His eyes searched yours, a hint of regret in their glowing depths. "No, I did not," he said.

"We could try to find it and steal it from Eggman?" You offered hopefully. Gamma nodded, his decision made. "Let's go," he said, his steps firm and determined.

The two of you moved quickly through the Egg Carrier, dodging debris and avoiding the few remaining robotic guards. The ship's alarms blared in the distance, a constant reminder of the urgency of your mission. You could feel the power of the Chaos Emerald in your hand, its energy pulsing with each beat of your heart.

The room was vast and laden with technology, a testament to Eggman's mad genius. The Jet Booster sat in the center, gleaming under the harsh artificial lights, surrounded by a maze of wires and consoles. It was a beacon of power in the chaos.

"There it is," you murmured, pointing at the sleek, metallic contraption. Gamma's gaze followed your finger, his eyes lighting up with the same hope you felt. "We need to get that before Eggman uses it for his nefarious purposes with another E-Series," you said, your voice filled with determination.

You both sprinted towards the center, the sound of your footsteps and his clanking echoing through the chamber. As you approached, you noticed something off about the Jet Booster—it was connected to a series of consoles by a thick cable, and the room was locked down. "We need to disconnect it," you shouted to Gamma over the din of the alarms.

Gamma nodded, his eyes scanning the room for any signs of a release mechanism. He found it, a red lever on the far side of the chamber. "Cover me!" you called, as you dashed towards the lever. Gamma took up a defensive position, his gun-hand at the ready. The room grew eerily quiet except for the hum of the machinery and the pounding of your heart.

You reached the lever, your hand trembling slightly. With a deep breath, you pulled it, and the room erupted into life. The Jet Booster's engines roared to life, the cables connecting it to the consoles snapping like overstretched rubber bands. The floor rumbled beneath you as the ship's systems reacted to the sudden change in power.

The Jet Booster's engines roared to life as you moved it near Gamma's back, the vibrations coursing through like a living current. Gamma took to the air with surprising grace for a robot of his size, his wings unfolding from his back with a metallic shriek. You could feel the power of the Chaos Emeralds pulsating in sync with the mechanical beast's movements as he hovered in place.

"Hold on tight," Gamma warned, his voice a mix of excitement and caution. You climbed onto the makeshift saddle you had fashioned from the Jet Booster's control panels, your heart racing as you wrapped your arms around his midsection.

With a mighty roar, Gamma shot through the air, the Jet Booster's thrusters propelling you both through the corridors of the Egg Carrier. The walls were a blur of steel and lights as you weaved in and out of the debris left by the battle. The ship's alarms grew distant, swallowed by the wind and the roar of the engines.

The air grew colder as you approached the exit, the stars twinkling outside the windows like distant eyes watching your escape. Gamma's wings beat a steady rhythm, his body a testament to the freedom he had found. "Thank you, Striker," he said over the wind, his voice filled with a newfound warmth. "We will stop Eggman together."

As you soared through the night sky, the Egg Carrier shrinking into the distance, you couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. The weight of the emerald in your pocket was a constant reminder of the task ahead, you had already stopped Gamma's death and Perfect Chaos, but you still had to possibly fight Chaos 6.
