HERCULES METHOD IN MHA

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Herculean Strength

The morning after his quirk first manifested, Izuku woke up feeling different. His body felt alive in a way it never had before, every muscle humming with potential. He flexed his fingers, marveling at the way they responded to his thoughts as if they were extensions of his will. He had a quirk now—a real quirk. And he couldn't wait to tell his mom.

Izuku found his mother in the kitchen, humming softly as she prepared breakfast. The smell of miso soup and tamagoyaki filled the air, but Izuku's stomach was too tied in knots to feel hungry. He stood in the doorway for a moment, watching her, before finally speaking up.

"Mom?" he said, his voice small but steady.

Inko turned around, her face lighting up with a smile. "Good morning, Izuku! Did you sleep well? You were so quiet last night, I thought you might be coming down with something."

Izuku shook his head. "No, I'm fine. But… I need to tell you something."

Inko's smile faltered, replaced by a look of concern. She set down the spatula she was holding and knelt in front of him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "What is it, sweetie? You know you can tell me anything."

Izuku took a deep breath. "I think… I think my quirk came in."

Inko's eyes widened, and for a moment, she was speechless. Then, her face broke into a wide, tearful smile. "Oh, Izuku! That's wonderful! What is it? What can you do?"

Izuku hesitated. He didn't want to scare her by showing her the full extent of his strength, so he decided to start small. He walked over to the kitchen table and placed his hand on one of the legs. Focusing, he felt his muscles tense, the power surging through him. With a gentle push, he lifted the table off the ground, holding it steady with one hand.

Inko gasped, her hands flying to her mouth. "Izuku! That's incredible! You're so strong!"

Izuku set the table down carefully, making sure not to damage the floor. "It's not just strength, Mom. I can feel my muscles… like, really feel them. I can control them in ways I couldn't before. It's like my body knows what to do before I even think about it."

Inko pulled him into a tight hug, tears streaming down her face. "I'm so proud of you, Izuku. I always knew you were special."

Izuku hugged her back, feeling a warmth in his chest that he hadn't felt in a long time. But there was still one more thing he needed to do. "Mom… can we go register my quirk today?"

Inko pulled back, wiping her tears and smiling. "Of course, sweetie. Let's finish breakfast, and then we'll go."

Later that day, Inko took Izuku to the local quirk registration office. The building was bustling with parents and children, all there to register newly awakened quirks. Izuku felt a little out of place among the kids who could breathe fire or stretch their limbs, but he held his head high. He knew his quirk was special.

When it was their turn, the clerk—a tired-looking woman with glasses—smiled at them. "Name and quirk, please."

"Izuku Midoriya," Inko said, placing a hand on Izuku's shoulder. "And his quirk is… well, we're not entirely sure what to call it yet. It's some kind of muscle enhancement."

The clerk nodded, typing something into her computer. "Can you demonstrate it for me, sweetie?"

Izuku looked around the room, trying to think of something safe to do. He spotted a small metal weight on the counter, the kind used for testing strength quirks. He picked it up, feeling its heft in his hand. Then, with a quick flex of his muscles, he crushed it into a ball.

The clerk's eyes widened, and she let out a low whistle. "Well, that's impressive. A strength-based quirk. Do you have a name for it?"

Izuku thought for a moment. He wanted something that reflected not just his strength, but the control and precision that came with it. Something that felt powerful, but also heroic.

"Herculean Strength," he said finally. "I want to call it Herculean Strength."

The clerk smiled and typed the name into the system. "Herculean Strength it is. Congratulations, Izuku. You're officially registered."

As they left the registration office, Izuku felt a sense of excitement building inside him. He had a quirk now—a real quirk. And not just any quirk, but one that could make him a hero. But he also knew that this was just the beginning. He had a long road ahead of him, and he needed to start training if he was going to live up to the name he had chosen.

"Mom," he said, looking up at her. "Can we stop by the library on the way home? I want to learn more about how muscles work. And maybe find some books on hero training."

Inko smiled down at him, her eyes filled with pride. "Of course, Izuku. Whatever you need."

As they walked to the library, Izuku's mind raced with possibilities. He had the power, the control, and the determination. Now, all he needed was the training. And he wasn't going to waste a single second.
