Hero or Villain, Both

Chapter 156: Is that really it?

"Crack!"

"Pu!"

It ended with the blade of the polearm shattering to pieces as if it just couldn't take the force that came from the punch.

But not only that, even the vice leader of the Iron Fist Gang was sent flying because of this punch. At the same time, he couldn't help spitting out blood because he had been seriously injured by the shockwave that came with the punch.

When he was down on the ground, I couldn't help looking at my fist with a surprised look.

I certainly never thought that it would just take a single punch to beat up the vice leader of the Iron Fist Gang like this.

The Iron Fist Gang were supposed to be a mid game boss, so they should have been on the same level as Kasim.

When it came to Kasim, I really wasn't a match for him.

It was something that had been tested with Rothchild, the avatar that was with him.

So I didn't think that a single punch would be enough for this one.

But then again, it wasn't as if this person was the head of the Iron Fist Gang to begin with.

He was just the vice leader, which meant that he shouldn't be on the same level as the leader or someone like Kasim…

"Still, isn't he a bit too weak?"

"It's not that he's too weak, you've become a bit too strong."

I was confused when I heard this as I turned to look at Faust, but Faust didn't bother explaining as he reached his hand up. It seemed like he no longer cared if this vice leader of the Iron Fist Gang knew his identity or not.

When he raised his hand like this, that skeletal hand was revealed.

The moment that the vice leader of the Iron Fist Gang, his first reaction was, "Just what are you?"

His second reaction was, "What do you think you're doing?"

After he said this, there were skeletal hands that came out of the ground and grabbed the vice leader of the Iron Fist Gang.

The vice leader of the Iron Fist Gang tried to fight back against the hands that came out of the ground, but he just wasn't able to do anything against them when he was injured like this.

However, that wasn't the only reason why he wasn't able to break free of the grasp of the skeletal hands that were holding him,

When these skeletons came out of the ground, I noticed that there was something different with them.

These weren't the same skeletons that Faust had used previously to attack that group from the Iron Fist Gang. These skeletons were completely covered in a layer of bone armour that made them seem special.

Turning to look at Faust, I couldn't help raising a brow.

He just said to me, "Is it my fault that you don't pay attention at all? I already said that I would be making them stronger, so why are you this surprised?"

I really didn't know what to say since he was right.

It was just that I didn't think that he would be able to do it this fast.

At the same time, it was partly my fault as well since I didn't pay attention to the undead. I just didn't want to pay attention to them since I found them gross, but it seemed that there was indeed more to the undead that I didn't see.

After they had finished pinning him to the ground, Faust stepped forward and said, "Let's get started."

"What do you want? If you let me go, I can tell you whatever you want." The vice leader of the Iron Fist Gang didn't act tough at all as he immediately caved in and promised to tell us everything we wanted to know.

But when he caved this easily, it was clear that he wouldn't be reliable.

This kind of person would be able to lie as easily as telling the truth, so it would be hard to ensure that he would be telling us the truth.

That was unless there was something special used.

Faust had a spell that would make it easy for us to find out what the vice leader of the Iron Fist Gang knew.

"Don't struggle, you'll just make it worse." Faust said in a calm voice, but it wasn't heard as such in the ears of the vice leader of the Iron Fist Gang. It was like the voice of the reaper in his ears.

When he was about to struggle, he found that Faust's hand was already at his chest and he couldn't do anything as it tapped him.

But after he was tapped in the chest, it didn't seem like anything was going to happen.

That was until he suddenly felt this pain coming from deep inside of him.

This was a pain that came from his very core, as if his soul was being burnt away.

That was actually quite the accurate representation of what this was.

What Faust had used on the vice leader of the Iron Fist Gang was a spell known as Soul Search.

It was a spell that would allow Faust to search through the deepest parts of this person's soul, allowing him to learn all of his innermost secrets. However, this wasn't a spell that was gentle at all.

It was a forceful spell that used magic to dig into a person's soul.

As such, it was a very painful spell as his soul was being torn apart while being searched by Faust.

It really wasn't something that a normal person could resist and this vice leader of the Iron Fist Gang naturally wasn't someone that was special.

"Kill me." That was all that he was able to say when he was under the pain of the Soul Search Spell.

However, Faust just ignored him as he continued using the Soul Search Spell, digging into the depths of his soul for all the information that he wanted.

"He really is terrifying." I couldn't help thinking when I saw the purple flames glowing in Faust's eyes.
