Chapter 119: Chapter 119: Like Minded
Caelan and his group, who were tracking the treasure, also approached Elegia.
The area within dozens of miles around Elegia was blocked off by Marine warships, and on the island itself stood a massive demon king that occupied nearly half the terrain.
"What is that?"
Nami frowned slightly, her expression puzzled.
This thing looked even larger than the floating island used by Golden Lion.
"That looks like an ancient sealed demon. It probably has nothing to do with Golden Lion."
"Caelan, could you be mistaken?"
Robin, well-read in ancient texts, immediately recognized the general identity of the Demon King of Song.
However, they had been tracking Golden Lion. They shouldn't have run into something like this.
"No mistake. Golden Lion is lingering in the sky, and this giant monster is likely his doing."
Caelan stared at the Demon King of Song in front of him, a bit surprised himself.
According to the original timeline, this was supposed to appear two years later, when Uta had already become a world-famous superstar.
But sensing his divine spear floating above Elegia, Caelan had a good idea of what happened.
It was probably something Golden Lion did that enraged Uta enough to summon this thing.
"Let's move. We're going over. There are some big names gathered here."
Through Observation Haki, he clearly sensed the presence of the Red-Haired Pirates, Aokiji, and Kizaru. Caelan smiled.
He didn't expect the small East Blue to gather so many top-tier powerhouses.
Elegia was surrounded by dozens of warships, forming a tight blockade.
As the Wind Rider approached, the warships spontaneously opened a path, making way as if welcoming them.
On the other side, the Red-Haired Pirates received the same treatment.
No Marine dared open fire at this moment. No one wanted to be the one to provoke a war with two Emperors.
Tens of thousands of Marines stood at attention in silence, saluting the Wind Rider and the Red Force.
Breaking through the outer blockade, the three forces met along the coast of Elegia.
Aokiji and Kizaru stood side by side, with three Vice Admirals—Tokikakke, Onigumo, and Momonga—alongside Yamakaji behind them.
Shanks, with one arm, stood opposite them, ten officers including Beckman and Yasopp behind him. The entire Red-Haired crew was present.
Although neither side moved, the atmosphere was incredibly tense.
With the arrival of Caelan's group, the situation shifted once again. Both sides turned to look at him.
"Long time no see, both of you."
Caelan looked at Aokiji and Kizaru and greeted them with a smile.
These two were old acquaintances. Ideally, they would have become his subordinates.
"Honestly, I'd prefer not to see you."
Kizaru replied lazily, his face sour.
It was partially his own fault. He had slacked off during their last confrontation, and Akainu had suffered because of it.
Otherwise, it should have been Akainu standing here today.
"I don't think this counts as a pleasant reunion," Aokiji said with a bitter smile, his body tense.
Last time, he and Caelan had fought on an uninhabited island. He lost, and Caelan had even extended an olive branch.
But just over ten days later, Caelan had become the enemy of the World Government.
Now, he was someone to be wary of again. Times had changed, indeed.
Seeing how Aokiji and Kizaru treated Caelan, Shanks couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
The two Admirals clearly feared Caelan.
But thinking about it, it wasn't surprising.
This young man had never even entered the New World and had already reached Emperor status in the Grand Line.
And most of that was achieved while playing the role of a Marine Admiral.
Caelan also looked at Shanks—the man who maintained his status as a Yonko despite losing an arm.
His face was sharp and heroic, and even standing still, he radiated overwhelming presence. He truly lived up to his reputation as the world's most charismatic man.
"The legendary most charismatic man... he really lives up to it."
Facing Shanks, Caelan sighed.
"Caelan, nice to meet you."
"Though I'd love to share a drink, my adopted daughter is currently trapped inside that demon. I hope you understand."
Shanks looked at Caelan, his face filled with regret.
He had paid attention to Caelan for a long time. Under normal circumstances, he'd have welcomed the chance to drink and chat.
But Uta was still in danger. There was no time for that.
"No need to apologize. We can drink after we take care of this demon king."
Caelan spoke calmly, unfazed. Honestly, it would've been weird if Shanks chose to sit and chat with him now.
"Alright then, let's handle this first, and talk afterward."
Shanks was slightly surprised, then responded with heroic resolve.
He hadn't expected Caelan to actually help him. The other three Emperors were all arrogant and proud, and none of them would lower themselves to join forces.
Even Shanks himself was hesitant to involve Caelan in something so personal.
But this Demon King of Song was truly a threat. Having another Emperor-level powerhouse on their side increased their chances greatly.
"This is a problem."
Seeing Caelan and Shanks getting along, both Kizaru and Aokiji frowned. The Marine HQ definitely wouldn't want two Emperors cooperating.
The Red-Haired Pirates didn't act cold toward Caelan's crew either.
Based on what they knew, their captain was capable of anything.
"Marines, step aside while we handle this monster."
Shanks looked at Kizaru and Aokiji, his voice firm and commanding.
"You Marines just stand there and cheer us on."
Caelan looked at them too, squinting as he smiled.
Several Vice Admirals clenched their teeth, visibly angry.
They were Marines. Being ordered around by a pirate and an enemy of the World Government was intolerable.
"Ahem! We don't have any intention of getting in the way."
Before the Vice Admirals could object, Kizaru stepped forward.
From the looks of it, Caelan and Shanks only wanted to take care of the demon king.
Shameless or not, he didn't care anymore.
"Well then, let's see what the two of you can do."
Aokiji shrugged nonchalantly, equally unconcerned.
Once two laid-back types meet, their decisions are usually aligned.
The two stepped aside with the Vice Admirals, leaving the battlefield to Shanks and Caelan.
"Admiral Kizaru, Admiral Aokiji, are we seriously just going to stand by?"
Onigumo's face turned red with anger, his tone sharp.
The other Vice Admirals were also visibly frustrated, especially Tokikakke, who was furious seeing Caelan flaunt his power—especially after stealing away his goddess.
"Well, who said we're doing nothing? Two Yonko-level fighters are here. We're here to monitor them."
Aokiji scratched his head, speaking casually.
From how things looked earlier, if they didn't give way, they'd just get beaten down by Shanks and Caelan.
They couldn't even handle the full Red-Haired crew, much less Caelan, who was even more terrifying.
"Exactly. And Golden Lion could be lurking nearby. We're watching in case he tries anything."
Kizaru scanned the area with a serious expression.
Aokiji and Kizaru exchanged glances and smiled.
One was lazy justice, the other was ambiguous justice.
They were like-minded.
No, they were too like-minded.
Onigumo fell silent but remained visibly dissatisfied.
If Admiral Akainu were here, he definitely wouldn't have made such a choice.
