---------------------------------------------------------
The Konoha Honkai plan in the Heiming World diverges significantly from the one in the Baiming World.
In this world, Gaara remained unhurt, and he didn't need to escape under the protection of his siblings, Temari and Kankuro. As expected, Shukaku, the tailed beast sealed inside him, was bound to make an appearance in Konoha Village.
The tragic aspect was not just Gaara's transformation but the fate of the villagers and ninjas who had come to watch the Chūnin Exams. In the Baiming World, the villagers had fallen into a deep sleep due to Yakushi Kabuto's illusion, and those who slept weren't harmed. In contrast, the Heiming World saw these people suffer heavy casualties.
Is this the true nature of war? The shinobi of Konoha, especially those who hadn't seen real battle, were confused and panicked. Watching familiar faces fall before them left many unsure of how to cope. And the battle wasn't even over. Gaara hadn't fully transformed into Shukaku yet, and Uzumaki Naruto's full power had yet to be unleashed.
Konoha Village Chūnin Exam Arena:
Things were looking dire for Konoha Village. Uzumaki Naruto, who had just returned from Mount Myōboku, was struggling against Gaara, while the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, was in a fierce battle with Orochimaru. But what truly unsettled the villagers and ninjas was Orochimaru's move to summon the First and Second Hokages to fight Sarutobi.
Kakashi and Might Guy, despite fighting hard, were overwhelmed. With enemy forces from Sunagakure and the Sound Village pouring into the arena, Konoha was more vulnerable than ever. The priority was no longer to protect the villagers but simply to survive.
Thankfully, the ninjas from the Sound and Sand Villages seemed uninterested in attacking the villagers, provided they didn't interfere.
"Naruto hasn't beaten Gaara yet?" Rock Lee, wounded and leaning on a cane, questioned, frustration in his voice.
"Focus, Lee! The formation is our priority now," Nara Shikamaru urged, trying to maintain some control.
Konoha's Genin, unable to contribute much to the battle directly, formed a perimeter to protect the area and ensure the enemy didn't disrupt their position.
As Gaara dug his arms into the ground, a tremor ran through the field, followed by the sand surging towards Naruto like a tsunami.
"Big Fox, do you think Gaara can maintain his tailed beast form?" Naruto asked, communicating with the Nine Tails, his chakra starting to stir.
A giant, wind-powered Rasengan soon took shape in his hand, sending vibrations through the air.
"That's…" Kakashi squinted, using his Sharingan to assess the massive chakra contained in Naruto's Chūnin-level technique.
"This is a new jutsu born from the Rasengan," he murmured in awe. "Naruto…he's developed something beyond my expectations."
While Kakashi admired Naruto's growth, he also felt a twinge of guilt for not guiding him better.
Naruto's peers, who had always felt outmatched, now looked on in awe at the sheer scale of his power.
The formation of the four purple flames signaled an impending battle. Orochimaru, eyeing Naruto's display, was both impressed and curious. "That kid hides his abilities well. Could he be more valuable than Sasuke?"
Even Orochimaru, who had always seen potential in the Uchiha, was taken aback by Naruto's growth. Still, he was not ready to abandon his obsession with Sharingan.
Meanwhile, the Nine Tails spoke to Naruto. "Forget about Gaara's ability to use his beast form for now. Let's deal with his attack first."
Naruto's eyes glinted with determination. "Got it. I'll stop Gaara's sand wave." With his eyes glowing, he focused on the oncoming storm of sand.
"Wind Style: Rasengan Shuriken!" Naruto called out.
The spiraling Rasengan, now infused with the wind element, cut through the air with immense power. The blast that followed was deafening.
As it collided with Gaara's sand waves, the wind shuriken exploded with a massive shockwave. Gaara, who was trying to control the sand, was immediately thrown backward by the force. The sand around him scattered in all directions, leaving him exposed and cut by thousands of wind blades.
"What…impossible!" Gaara stammered, struggling to comprehend what just happened. The sand armor, which usually protected him, was now torn apart by the wind-infused Rasengan.
The Sand Village ninjas watching in disbelief couldn't understand how Gaara, who had been so powerful, was now so vulnerable.
"What is this?! A new technique from that blonde kid?"
The sound of the explosion reverberated throughout the arena as everyone tried to grasp the scale of what had just happened. The sand had been blown apart, leaving deep cuts on Gaara's body. Even the surrounding ninjas from Sunagakure were in shock.
Kakashi, still processing the power behind the attack, thought, This is a form change to Rasengan, with wind chakra added. It's devastating.
Ohnoki, watching from afar, muttered, "Fortunately, Naruto kept his power in check. Gaara would've been much worse if he didn't."
Terumi Mei, observing the battle from her vantage point, agreed. "The wind chakra in that Rasengan created a storm of blades. It's a deadly jutsu."
Luo Sha, Gaara's father, couldn't help but feel for his son. "If it weren't for the sand armor, Gaara could've been gravely injured… Why did it have to come to this?"
The Fourth Raikage also commented, "If that kid keeps growing, he'll be a major threat. Could he even rival Danzo's hidden darkness?"
Danzo, hidden away, quietly observed the battle. "Hmph. As long as Sarutobi dies, I'll take the reins. This brat doesn't concern me."
As Gaara struggled to rise, he was shaken. Why? he thought. Why is Naruto stronger than me?
Naruto, now taunting him, said, "Is this all you've got after becoming a monster?"
Gaara, enraged, snapped back, "You're just like me! We both have monsters inside us!"
As Naruto mocked him, Gaara began to realize the painful truth. While he had been shunned and feared as a monster, Naruto had been accepted, even revered, despite having a tailed beast within him. This twisted reality sent Gaara into a rage.
"I will kill you!" Gaara shouted. "I will prove that my existence matters!"
Suddenly, the ground beneath him shook, and the sand around him rose in a whirlwind. Temari and Kankuro, recognizing the signs, understood what was happening.
"No… Not again!" Temari cried. "It's Shukaku!"
Kankuro, equally alarmed, shouted, "We need to get out of here, now!"
With Gaara's tailed beast power surging, the entire arena was about to be engulfed in chaos. The villagers, still reeling from Naruto's earlier attack, were now in full panic. They had seen the destruction that Shukaku could cause, and the sight of it reappearing in Konoha was enough to send them fleeing for their lives.
"What is that?" some villagers screamed in terror.
"It's Sunagakure's Jinchūriki!" another yelled, realizing the gravity of the situation.
The tension in the air was palpable as Gaara's transformation continued. His manic laughter echoed through the village as he taunted Naruto. "You're weak, Naruto. I'll tear this village apart and show you just how powerful I am. You're nothing!"
But Naruto wasn't backing down. He had a plan, and he wouldn't let Gaara destroy Konoha.
The battle between the two Jinchūriki had reached a breaking point, and it was clear that neither would back down easily. Yet, in the chaos that followed, the villagers were left to wonder: Is this what war really means? To some, it was just another fight for survival. To others, it was a reminder of how fragile peace could be.
