Chapter 638: Chapter 638: The 'large' fight at the Ministry of Magic

Andy glanced at his watch, raised his eyebrows slightly, and jokingly said, "He is quite cautious. But...he must not have used the Time-Turner when he was at school."

Snape: "..."

"The Dark Lord graduated top of his grade in every exam," Snape said matter-of-factly.

"Are you sure?"

Andy retorted, "How could Voldemort have been top in Muggle Studies? And I don't think he was interested in the Care of Magical Creatures class, either."

That wasn't a bad point.

Snape was about to say something, but suddenly his face turned dark.

He almost got sidetracked by Andy!

Is this the time to discuss Voldemort's academic performance?

"Collins, listen!"

Snape said sternly, "I don't know what will happen next, but since the Dark Lord summoned me this time, I don't think he'll let me come back."

"From now on, you'll have to rely on yourself!"

"If you want to enter the Ministry of Magic..."

Snape paused suddenly, then continued, "You know where the Ministry is, so if you want to sneak in, you can follow us."

"Just be careful; don't get caught!"

After saying this, Snape did not delay, leaving only the words 'I have to go' before hurriedly leaving by using the Apparition spell.

"Hey!" Andy sighed.

Voldemort's subordinates are not living easy lives!

Just think about when Snape was teaching at Hogwarts—which class did he ever enter on time?

How wilful he was!

But now?

He doesn't even dare to waste a little bit of time!

Tsk!

After a short rest in the living room, at 9 pm, Andy used the Apparition to appear on a run-down street in London—the Ministry of Magic was located directly below this street.

Of course, with Andy's current identity, he could not enter the Ministry of Magic through official channels.

Because there are two Andys' at this point in time.

If this were to be exposed, it would be a big hassle to deal with.

Fortunately, the Death Eaters would not enter the Ministry of Magic through official channels either.

Moreover, to facilitate their retreat, the Death Eaters will inevitably disable the Ministry's Anti-Apparition charm.

So Andy just needs to wait patiently for the Death Eaters' large-scale attack, and then he can use the Disillusionment Charm to blend in.

Besides, Snape will cover for Andy if something goes wrong.

In a roadside café, Andy found a seat with a good view, and while drinking coffee to refresh himself, he kept an eye on the movements outside the Ministry.

It was after nine in the evening, and there were very few people on the street.

The café waiter also reminded Andy that they would be closing at ten o'clock sharp.

Near ten o'clock, a few people appeared on the street, acting suspiciously and dressed very differently from Muggles.

Andy's spirits lifted, and he hurriedly looked in that direction.

Coincidentally, those people also looked over at Andy before nonchalantly averting their gaze and continuing to look at other places.

"The shops on the street are closed, and the nearby muggles have been cleared away," one of them said.

"That's not a bad thing; at least we don't have to do it ourselves. I just wonder if the Ministry is well guarded?" The other asked, a little worried.

"Intelligence suggests that the Aurors have all been redeployed to the Quidditch World Cup venue."

"I hope so..."

Inside the café, Andy watched from afar as several Death Eaters gathered together to discuss something. He was about to take a sip of coffee but noticed that the cup was already empty.

"Tonight is really moving slowly," the waitress at the counter said with a low grumble, glancing at the clock.

"Yeah!" Andy responded casually.

"Judging by your age, you should still be at school, right?"

The waiter said, "Why are you still out so late? Did you fight with your family and run away?"

"What is your advice?" Andy asked.

Following a few casual conversations with the waiter, the Death Eaters seemed to have received some kind of order and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

It's starting!

Andy waited patiently for a while...

"Thank you for your hospitality."

Andy said, standing up, "But I should go now."

After leaving the café, Andy glanced back.

Unlike the brightly lit interior, from the outside it looked as if the café had long since closed.

The Confundus Charm was still working well.

Pop!

After avoiding people's view, Andy instantly vanished.

***

The Atrium of the Ministry of Magic, the Floo network fireplace.

Green flames ignited, and Andy emerged from the flames.

The British Ministry of Magic has two entrances.

One is a phone booth on the street, which is the guest entrance.

The other is a public toilet, where Ministry employees need to stand on the toilet and flush themselves down.

Of course, few people would choose this method.

Before Voldemort's resurrection, Ministry employees usually used the Floo network to teleport to the Ministry.

Stepping out of the fireplace, Andy used the Disillusionment Charm to make himself invisible and looked around.

The corridor was completely deserted.

The same was true for the Atrium, and even the security counter was unmanned.

The entire Ministry was eerily quiet.

Normally, the Ministry of Magic would have a 24-hour shift in the Atrium, as they needed to be able to receive visitors at any time.

'The Death Eaters have indeed launched an attack...'

'I just don't know where the battle is taking place.'

Andy waved his wand to summon the Fat Cat Patronus. 'Go have a look... Be careful; don't get caught.'

The Fat Cat Patronus circled Andy once before quickly flying off into the distance.

Andy found a place to sit and waited patiently.

Andy wasn't here to fight; this battle would do more harm than good.

Besides, Dumbledore didn't need Andy's help; otherwise, he wouldn't have let Andy stay at the Quidditch World Cup venue.

Andy had only one goal.

That was to get Voldemort's blood.

But...

That being said, Andy was still very curious about what happened at the Ministry of Magic tonight.

After all...gossiping and watching other people's drama play out was a hobby of most people.

If you don't enjoy drama, what's the point in life?

But all of this would have to wait until the Fat Cat Patronus returned, when he would be briefed on the full story.

However, things often don't go as you expect.

Just five minutes later, dozens of Death Eaters were retreating rapidly towards the Floo Network fireplace, pursued by the Ministry Aurors.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Boom –

Hundreds of wizards clashed in a melee, with magical beams flying in all directions.

Amidst the chaos, there were the occasional sounds of Death Eaters cackling maniacally and the screams of those hit by spells.

Andy also saw a few familiar faces in the crowd.

For example... Lucius Malfoy.

He stood in the Auror line-up, his wand constantly waving, looking very heroic.

But if you look closely, you can see that his movements are very calculated—each time he makes a move, he 'accidentally' positions another person in front of him.

Clearly, a person who knows how to fight in a group!

As for the Death Eaters... Snape's mask has been knocked off at some point, and he is grimly facing off against Mad-Eye Moody alone.

Both sides are trading blows, refusing to give in.

But overall, Snape still had the upper hand—he was young, strong, and had nimble legs.

Boom!

A spell from Snape abruptly hit the other man.

"Well done, Severus!" Barty Crouch Jr. yelled excitedly.
