Hogwarts: The Unscientific Wizard (TL)

Chapter 640: Chapter 640: This is not a rumour. I am the person Voldemort fears the most.

A comical scene played out when Dumbledore appeared.

The Death Eaters standing behind Voldemort took an involuntary step backwards when Dumbledore stepped forward.

Voldemort glared around with rage, then took a deep breath and said, "Dumbledore!"

As soon as the words left his lips, Voldemort raised his wand, and a green light shot towards Dumbledore.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Dumbledore's figure instantly disappeared.

In the blink of an eye, Dumbledore had appeared on the other side of Voldemort. With a flick of his wand, the statues in the fountain came to life.

This is the iconic symbol in the Atrium of the Ministry of Magic—the Fountain of Magical Brethren.

The fountain is positioned in the centre of the Atrium, with a group of pure golden statues of a wizard, a witch, a centaur, a goblin, and a house elf standing in the middle of a circular pool of water.

The tallest of these is a statue of a noble-looking wizard, with his wand raised high and pointing towards the sky.

Around the wizard stood a beautiful witch, a centaur, a goblin, and a house elf.

This group of statues symbolised the 'harmony' in the wizarding world!

Of course, this was not the reality—it was just the wizards' wishful thinking, their idealised vision of society.

At that moment, the golden statue of the wizard leapt from its base and slammed to the ground between Dumbledore and Voldemort.

The witch statue then ran towards Barty Crouch Jr., who let out a roar and hurled a series of spells at the witch statue.

But it was all in vain!

The witch statue was extremely fast, and after closing the distance, it leapt towards Barty Crouch Jr. and pinned him under its body.

Meanwhile, the Goblin and the House-elf statues hurried towards the fireplace, as if they wanted to prevent anyone from leaving.

The Centaur statue kicked out its front hooves and galloped towards Voldemort.

Voldemort disappeared in an instant and reappeared next to the fountain.

Dumbledore kept moving closer to Voldemort, while the Centaur statue circled around them.

"It was foolish of you to come here tonight, Tom!" said Dumbledore calmly.

"You're getting old, Dumbledore!"

Voldemort said ferociously, "Tonight, you will die here."

With that, Voldemort raised his wand and cast a blasting curse at Dumbledore.

Dumbledore simply waved his wand and redirected the curse.

Boom!

There was a loud noise, and the reception counter instantly shattered and burst into flames.

Dumbledore raised his wand, and the energy of his spell was so intense that it made his wand glow.

Andy, who was watching from afar, felt his hair stand on end as the magical beam whizzed past.

Holy shit!

Andy exclaimed in his heart.

What the hell was that?

Voldemort swung his wand sharply, conjuring a shiny silver shield in front of him.

BOOM –

Dumbledore's spell did not cause any visible damage to the shield, but it made a low, rumbling sound.

"Dumbledore, you're not actually trying to kill me, are you?"

Voldemort growled, his blood-red eyes fixed on Dumbledore. "You wouldn't do such a cruel thing, would you?"

"Tom, we both know there are many other ways to bring someone down."

Dumbledore continued to close in towards Voldemort. "I admit, I would not be satisfied with merely taking your life…"

"There is nothing worse than death, Dumbledore," Voldemort said coldly.

"You are wrong!"

Dumbledore looked at Voldemort and said in a lecturing tone, "Indeed, failing to realise that there are things in this world that are worse than death has always been your greatest weakness."

Voldemort raised his wand in anger, and another green light shot straight at Dumbledore.

Dumbledore didn't move, and the golden statue of the centaur instantly landed in front of him.

Boom!

The Centaur statue was smashed into hundreds of pieces by the Killing Curse.

But before the statue fragments hit the ground, Dumbledore waved his wand, and a rope of thin flame shot out from the tip of the wand, binding Voldemort and the silver shield together.

However, the next moment, the flame rope turned into a flame giant snake, which not only released Voldemort but also turned around and hissed at Dumbledore.

Voldemort's figure also disappeared from the spot.

Just as the flame giant snake was looming over Dumbledore, Voldemort appeared on the statues' remaining base, his wand raised high, and a green light shot straight at Dumbledore.

"Be careful!"

Someone shouted.

Just then, Phoenix Fawkes flew out of the flames, swallowed Voldemort's killing curse in one gulp, and then exploded into a ball of flames that fell to the ground, where a tiny Phoenix chick reborn from the flames.

Dumbledore flicked his wand, and the flaming serpent flew high and disappeared into the smoke.

At the same time, the water in the fountain abruptly shot up, wrapping Voldemort in a deathly embrace.

The water swirled and coalesced into a sphere, looking like a cocoon made of glass.

The water swirled at high speed, constantly squeezing Voldemort towards the centre. From the outside, all that could be seen was the blurred black shadow of Voldemort's features behind the ripples.

In the water globe, Voldemort obviously tried to do a few things to break through the airtight water globe.

The next moment, Voldemort disappeared.

Clatter –

The water fell to the ground, splashing all over, wetting the polished floor.

"Master!!!"

All the Death Eaters looked at Dumbledore in horror.

Voldemort had really been defeated!

Unlike the last battle at the Ministry of Magic, where Voldemort actually had the upper hand.

He had only retreated because Dumbledore had arrived.

Of course, that battle also had a huge impact.

Because Andy was so young!

The shock factor lies in the fact that a third-year wizard was able to confront Voldemort head-on – even if Voldemort was the one with the upper hand, it didn't change the fact that his reputation took a hit.

In contrast, although Voldemort was defeated today, the impact of this event won't be as shocking as the last one.

Because Voldemort's opponent today was Dumbledore.

Dumbledore has always been the one person Voldemort fears the most.

Voldemort can't defeat Dumbledore...isn't that how it should be?

Is that really that surprising?

The Death Eaters are only terrified because they fear that Dumbledore will take this opportunity to arrest them all.

Besides, if you look at the two Ministry battles together...once Dumbledore and Andy join forces, will Voldemort still have a chance?

Even a child knows that it's a dead end, right?

Some of the Death Eaters were already looking for a way out.

In the corner of the Atrium, Andy sat in a chair he found, watching with relish.

Tonight had not been without its rewards!
