Hokage Teacher: With Dimensional Teacter System

Chapter 69: Chapter 70: 4.5 Small Chakra Cards

[Disciple Might Guy's training task completed, reward: Chakra +1000, Breath of the Rock (Mastery level)]

[Disciple Uchiha Obito's training task completed, reward: Chakra +700, Great Fire Extinguishing (Proficient level)]

The system panel quickly popped up with several pieces of information.

"It seems that the final completion level has a significant impact on the rewards," Mugetsu mused, looking at the difference in the rewards between the two. He now had a clearer understanding of the reward system for training tasks.

The rewards for the training tasks are divided into two parts: one is the improvement in strength during the training period, and the other is the task's objective.

Obito's physical skills were comparable to Might Guy's during the task, but since he did not achieve the objective of becoming first, his rewards were considerably lower than Guy's.

Mugetsu's attention shifted to the "Breath of the Rock" reward. He immediately recognized that it was not a technique from the world of Naruto, as he had seen something similar in Demon Slayer.

Having gained some experience from receiving the "Shave" technique last time, Mugetsu knew that the system would reward him with techniques from other worlds and then localize them for the Naruto universe.

After recalling the memories of the years of training in the "Breath of the Rock," Mugetsu thought to himself, "As expected, it's been localized."

After processing the memories, Mugetsu realized that the Naruto version of the Breath of the Rock could be considered a forbidden technique.

Mastering the Breath of the Rock allows a person to instantly unleash terrifying power during critical moments by entering a full concentration breathing state.

Once proficient in the Breath of the Rock, one can maintain this full concentration state 24/7, enhancing physical strength and boosting combat abilities.

When one reaches mastery in the technique, they can use a stronger version of the breathing technique, causing their chakra to explode, significantly enhancing their strength by entering the "Patterned State," which provides a large increase in power across the board.

However, using the Patterned State is extremely draining on chakra and puts immense pressure on the body.

"This is actually more suited to me than the Eight Gates," Mugetsu thought, nodding in approval.

As long as he doesn't actively enter the Patterned State, the Breath of the Rock is beneficial with no harm—it helps strengthen his body while also allowing him to unleash considerable power during battles.

Thinking further, Mugetsu realized that combining the Eight Gates with the Breath of the Rock would be the perfect combination.

The Eight Gates allow the body to open and flood the chakra system, drastically increasing chakra levels, but the chakra becomes too wild to perform ninjutsu. On the other hand, the Patterned State of the Breath of the Rock doesn't require precise control over chakra.

The massive chakra from opening the Eight Gates could be used to maintain the chakra demand for the Patterned State. The only concern would be whether the body could handle it.

This is where the real benefit of the breathing techniques lies. They improve the body's resilience.

Mugetsu thought the Eight Gates plus the Breath of the Rock would be a great combination—seven gates with the Patterned State would certainly be much safer than opening the Death Gate directly.

Mugetsu felt that this time, he had truly struck gold. Although Obito's proficient Great Fire Extinguishing technique was good, it was nothing compared to the Naruto-version Breath of the Rock.

Mugetsu then opened his personal panel.

[Name: Yūbi Mugetsu]

[Age: 18]

[Chakra: 11,300]

[Skills: Chef, Three-Finger Seal, Fire Release: Great Fire Extinguishing, Shave, Earth Release: Earth Spear, Breath of the Rock…]

[Evaluation: You have mastered many ninjutsu, including high-level techniques and forbidden techniques with terrifying power. You can unleash remarkable strength at will, and your strength is among the most elite of the many Jonin.]

Looking at his chakra now breaking into the five-digit range, Mugetsu felt pleased.

From the 4,300 chakra he had when he first arrived in this world, to the 11,300 he had now, it had only taken a semester.

A ninja school year has three semesters, and if he could maintain this growth rate each semester (not counting the holiday periods), he would increase his chakra by 21,000 each year.

"Now my chakra should be considered to have 4.5 small cards," Mugetsu thought.

In his previous life, it was common to use Kakashi's chakra as a measurement unit, but since he was referring to the younger version of Kakashi, he decided to call it a "small card."

With the first-place winner announced, the exam was officially over, and both the teachers and students began to leave.

"Obito, are you okay?" Rin asked, running over to Obito's side.

"What could be wrong? It was just a kick…" Obito began, but before he could finish his sentence, he twisted his body where Guy had kicked him and winced in pain.

"Don't be stubborn. Let me help you," Rin sighed, placing her hand on her forehead.

"It's fine, I'm really okay. Just lost because I let my guard down. What's the big deal?" Obito gritted his teeth, trying to maintain his pride.

Losing this time was hard for him, especially since it happened in front of both Mugetsu and Rin. From now on, he wouldn't be able to counter Kakashi's teasing about never having taken first place.

"Mugetsu-sensei," Obito muttered, noticing Mugetsu walking toward him, his gaze shifting awkwardly.

"How are you? Do you need me to take you to the infirmary?" Mugetsu asked with concern.

It's important to comfort students who have lost.

"No, it's actually fine," Obito answered honestly. He felt a little pain but nothing serious; he had already refused the examiner's offer to go to the infirmary earlier.

"You should go just in case. If it's a serious injury, we don't want it getting worse," Mugetsu said gently.

"Mugetsu-sensei's right. You should go to the infirmary," Rin added, agreeing with Mugetsu.

"Alright, Rin, you head home first. I'll go to the infirmary with Mugetsu-sensei," Obito reluctantly agreed.

"I'll go with you too," Rin said, still worried about Obito.

"No need. Mugetsu-sensei is here," Obito insisted, not wanting to trouble Rin too much.

"I'll go with Obito," Guy said, stepping in.

Even though he had given his all in the match, he still considered Obito a comrade.

"You see, I've got two people with me. Rin, you can go home first," Obito said with a reassuring smile.

Rin hesitated but, after thinking about it and trusting Mugetsu as a reliable teacher, agreed to head home alone.

At the infirmary, Mugetsu found an excuse to send Guy away and began talking to Obito.

"Don't let the results of one exam get you down. There are two exams every semester and six every year. If you didn't do well this time, you'll have a better chance next time with more effort," Mugetsu said seriously.

"Don't think you're disappointing me just because you didn't take first place. If that were the case, Guy would have to apologize to me every semester, twice a year," Mugetsu added with a teasing tone.

Obito chuckled, then reflected on Mugetsu's words. There were still other chances, and all he had to do was keep working hard.

"As long as you focus on training and improving your strength, there's no need to worry about disappointing me," Mugetsu said, patting Obito's head.

"Mugetsu-sensei…" Obito looked at him, deeply moved by his sincerity. He resolved to take first place next semester to prove he wasn't worse than Guy, that he was worthy of Mugetsu's guidance.

[Disciple Uchiha Obito sets training task]

[Training Task: Achieve first place in the school's practical exam.]

Mugetsu smiled warmly at the system prompt, feeling satisfied.

After comforting his defeated student, Mugetsu didn't forget to reward the victorious one. He left the infirmary with Guy.

"I remember Naruto had a version of the Seven Breaths already, so the breathing technique fits right in. I won't add anything too out of place," Mugetsu thought, noting that everything from other worlds would be localized.

"If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave a comment, and I'll consider them."
