Chapter 1174: Bracing for Impact!-1
"You guys should go inside and get cleaned up. There is some food in the kitchen that you could eat; otherwise, there is nothing to worry about. You will be safe here."
He turned to Dhia and said, "Contact your family and tell them you are with us. If they want to, they could send someone to check up on you. I am so sorry you got caught up in this mess."
He knew Dhia was completely unrelated to the incident, only getting mixed in because she was a tenant at Kate's place. If she were anywhere else, she wouldn't have to go through all of this. He knew it was a fairly dangerous situation, which was like a wakeup call for him.
He might be smart—smartest—smartest, in fact—but there were just too many variables in his plan. Even with his'supercomputer' mind, he couldn't predict everything. He may need to reconsider some of his decisions in the future and take a more direct approach rather than underestimating his adversary.

"They must already be aware of it. They shouldn't be too concerned about my safety because I told them about meeting you. In addition, I trust your judgment because you have previously saved me." Samuel merely nodded, thinking that even though she was wise above her years, he would still need to formally connect with her family out of civility. It would be detrimental to her family if someone like her spent time in his home unsupervised since gossip would start to circulate. It was not easy being a princess.
Before leaning in to kiss him, Kate and Bella gave him another public hug. Their curiosity satiated, he sent them inside. They couldn't expect Samuel to stay with them and console them because they knew he would have to undertake a lot of follow-up after such an incident.
They knew the most about him and his methods because they had been with him for so long. He was highly protective of two of them, so even if they tried to stop him, he wouldn't listen. He would undoubtedly go after the ones who carried out the attack.
They were also aware of how different their everyday lives were from his. They realized it must have something to do with what had transpired yesterday morning, but he never truly explained what he was engaged with. They also knew that in order to avoid needlessly worrying them, he would inform them after the dust settled.
He watched them go inside; Kate had been here before, but it was first for both Bella and Dhia, so she became the guide for them. Maybe Amanda would swing by when she hears about the guest, but he didn't have time to think about them.
As soon as he turned around, his whole demeanor changed. A chilling, icy aura enveloped his body as he took out the small container holding a small round black object that he took out during the surgery.
Without waiting, he started sprinting. He didn't care about being caught by his uncle because he needed to know if his suspicion was correct, and for that, he would need some equipment, which meant he was going to the base to find his team. They might not know what happened yet, but now that the enemy had made it's move, it was time for him to retaliate tenfold!

"Do you anything about the attack?" Dhia suddenly asked when they were alone. She was not someone who would take a beating while lying down. She had a powerful family behind her. Although she had no idea what had prompted the attack and was aware that she was not the intended target, they still fired on her, putting her life in danger.
Coming from a long line of Malaysian royal families, she had enough clout to pursue those who attacked her. Not for herself; she was more concerned about Kate and Bella, who appeared to be their targets, but she needed to figure out why this happened in the first place.
Kate looked at Bella, wondering whether they should tell her the truth. They might not know all of it, but they knew why it happened so out of the blue. Bella nodded, which led Kate to tell Dia about everything.
Both Kate and Bella were older than Dhia, but right now, Dhia was behaving completely different from her usual student-like persona. They didn't know her background, but seeing how Samuel talked to her, they knew she must be important.
"Please don't look at me like that. I am still Dhia, that you know. Also, didn't he tell you why he beat them up so badly? It seems totally uncalled for."
"I also think that he acted very strange at that time. He was usually relaxed and unconcerned about anyone. He would help someone if they needed it, but he would not go after people unnecessarily." Bella chimed in. She did witness everything personally.
"Maybe because he pointed a gun at someone? One of them even tried to, You know...touch me inappropriately."
"That would definitely set him off." Bella nodded in understanding.
"No, that doesn't make sense! Someone as cautious as him would have different plans. If I were him, I would have diffused the situation and exacted my revenge so they would not suspect I was behind it, but he was reckless and beat them up while you two were present. Anyone could find out that you have a bar, so they attacked your home. You-" When Dhia looked at them, they had a look of disbelief in their eyes.
"Who are you? And what did you do with my cute and precious Dhia!?"
"Dhia would never hatch plans to hurt people like some villain! I feel like she changed a lot! Maybe it's her identical twin!"
"Can you two act like grown ups for a second?!" Dhia slammed her foot, frustrated by their nonchalant behaviour. They were in a crisis, but they continued to behave as if nothing had happened!
"There is nothing to worry about now that we are here. Didn't you see his face? He would sure to make them pay for what they did to my house!" Kate snorted. It was great to have such a reliable boyfriend!
"I think they also damaged your car on their way out." Bella reminded her.
"Those bastards would pay for this!" Kate flared up even more because that was her favorite car!
Meanwhile, Dhia was standing beside them, like a deer in headlights, and she accepted reality. She would need to speak with someone else to determine the root cause of the problem and see if she could assist them.
