Chapter 1177: Attack!-2

He had an unexpected visitor as he was working in the kitchen. After his humiliating loss to Samuel a few days earlier, his uncle Peter must be near death from embarrassment.

Before returning the work to Amanda, who was only able to shake her head due to the strange circumstance, he was yelling at the top of his lungs for Samuel to come out, which he ultimately did. She occasionally questions who the child and the uncle were because Peter had always pretended to be Samuel's twin despite being over twenty years older!

"There would be no match. What you did was uncalled for, and I would not apologize for it." Samuel straightened out the issue with a single sentence. He didn't want to lump into fighting his uncle again, no matter how much he cried or whined about it!

"Who said I came here to fight? I came here for justice! You sucker punched me, which was why I lost! Everyone at the scene could attest to it." Peter wasn't ready to admit defeat. He had always been stubborn like that.

"That's it? I can also make them say that it was unfair, but you were the one that attacked first. I simply had to put you down because you were being a jerk. Beside, do you even know what is happening currently? I don't have time to worry about your hurt ego." He was even more direct this time.

"Oh yeah? Why don't you prove it? I don't care what you are going through, but we need to sort this out once and for all. Last time we fought was a draw, so our score is still null each."

Samuel realized he had his work cut out for him when he saw that he was not giving up in the least. He must have come to visit him after hearing that he was on the estate; if he had known earlier, he would have arrived by now!

" Fine. Where do you want to do it? Is that patch of grass fine with you to lay down when I knock you out cold?" Samuel said it incredulously. Peter only gave a satisfied smile seeing he got his way. He would even agree if Samuel proposed to fight him on the stone pavement!

Still, in his apron and casual clothes. He went out on a barely lit grass area because it was almost sundown and waited for his uncle. This time, he wouldn't hold down, putting the matter down once and for all. It was the only language that his uncle would stop harassing him!

Peter tried to play dirty by prematurely attacking him, but Samuel saw through it in an instant. Without even giving him a chance, Samuel too leaned forward toward the punch that was barreling toward him, which made Peter break into a grin.

Unfortunately for him, that's all he could remember. The calm and calculating face of Samuel before his lights were cut off as he laid face down on the slightly damp and cold grass! Read latest chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

Samuel turned toward the bushes and said, "Can you please drag him out of here? And if he tries to come here again, just tell him that I am away or at least inform me."

He was talking to the few soldiers hiding around that Daniel left behind. They were only a few, as the rest of them were ordered to make a withdrawal as Daniel would need to prepare them for what could happen in the future.

Samuel House was a weak spot, but at the same time, he was there as the strongest of them all to stop any approaching enemies. Either way, it was better than anyone attacking different sections of the estate, like the civilian town right beside the estate. Still, Daniel left these few people behind in case of emergency.

Since Peter was so big and muscular, they needed all the help they could get if they really wanted to drag him back, and because they were already discovered, they had to obey his command. Still, they got to witness the mighty Peter fall in a single kick in the head. What's crazy was the impossible angle that Samuel rotated himself to make it happen.

Samuel's level in their eyes was elevated by several levels while Peter fell down from his pedestal without him being aware of it! The era of Peter and Daniel was over; it was time for the younger generation to reign supreme!

The girls still joined together during dinner like they had become best of friends. Surprisingly, Dhia meshed well with them, completely letting go of her air of royalty and behaving like usual. Since Samuel wasn't really invited to their conversation, he was eating with some peace of mind occasionally answering some of their questions, really specific ones, because everyone knew he had a good memory.

Amanda left them alone and headed back home knowing she would only be third wheel for these young people. It was much better for her to come back in the morning bringing some people with her so that she wouldn't be so tensed with the work due to new guests.

At the halfway point, Dhia separated from the group and came to sit with Samuel with a plate of dessert. She had already finished eating what little food she consumed, probably trying to maintain her figure, but in Samuel's eyes she was thin as a leaf, but that didn't mean she wasn't 'gifted' in certain areas, but he refused to go that route, knowing what treacherous path it would lead to.

"So, what else could you tell me? she asked.

"Tell you about what?" knowing exactly what she was referring to.

"The attack."

"I don't think you will be able to help. Just chalk it up as an unfortunate event and leave it in the past." Samuel wasn't going to pull her into his mess.

"You and I both know that it isn't that simple, and how do you know I won't be able to help?" Dhia pushed further.

"Don't take this the wrong way, but there is a reason why I don't want you to get involved and also a specific reason why I think you wouldn't be able to help."

"Why?" Dhia wanted to know how he could be so sure about this.

"It's self-explanatory. If you had any power, your people would be here already, but it's been hours and there is no response from them, which meant that the rumours about women not holding much power in your family are true." He paused to see her reaction. As expected, she was a little distraught, maybe because she didn't believe he would be able to point out her predicament in a matter of seconds.

"I don't mean it in any sort of disrespectful way, but what you are doing now is enough. Keeping them company and taking their mind off things. It's the best help I could get in this situation." Samuel wasn't a cruel person; what he said was what was in his heart. She was really god-sent in dealing with all this shit.

Instead of backing down, Dhia leaned forward, exposing a clear view of her valley, which was strangely deep for her strature and size. This move really took him by surprise, as he didn't know what she was trying to do. He never felt she had any sort of attraction for him, but maybe because he never really met her still, he didn't want to give in, especially knowing her complicated background!
