Holy Willie Of Konoha

Chapter 1: CHAPTER 1

Konoha Village – The Uchiha Clan Compound

At the edge of the Uchiha district, a six-year-old boy knelt outside a traditional wooden house, his dark eyes reflecting the setting sun.

His clothes were dusty and disheveled, with faint footprints staining the fabric of his back.

This boy, Uchiha Tunan, was not originally from this world—he was a transmigrator. Three months had passed since he arrived in this body.

The soul of the original owner had either been devoured or passed on to the Pure Land.

Upon awakening, he discovered his unique ability: the Inheritance System.

As long as someone who acknowledged him died, he could inherit all their abilities—whether through strength, emotions, or ideals.

But in these months, the system had only identified two people who met the criteria—his parents.

Both of them, Uchiha Yanbu and Uchiha Nanako, were members of the Konoha Military Police Force. Talented shinobi, they had each awakened the two-tomoe Sharingan.

Under their guidance, Uchiha Tunan had begun learning chakra refinement.

However, his talent was abysmal. At his current pace, the best he could hope for was to become a genin—a disgrace for an Uchiha.

Without awakening the Sharingan, his future was bleak.

He lowered his head, his voice barely a whisper.

"Don't blame me… I have no choice."

He made a dejected expression and waited for his parents to return.

---

A Father's Decision

After a while, footsteps echoed from the street.

Uchiha Yanbu and Uchiha Nanako returned home, their uniforms slightly worn from patrol duty.

The moment they saw their son's bruised form, Nanako's face darkened with concern.

But in the Uchiha clan, men had the final say—especially in matters of discipline.

So, she remained silent, waiting for Yanbu to speak.

Yanbu's eyes narrowed as he examined the dirt on Tunan's clothes.

"Were you bullied?" His voice was calm but firm.

Tunan lowered his head and gave a dull nod.

Yanbu's expression hardened.

"Then train harder. Fight back. There are no weaklings in the Uchiha clan."

Without another word, he walked past his son and entered the house.

Nanako hesitated, wanting to comfort Tunan, but just as she reached out—

"Leave him."

Yanbu's cold command came from inside.

Reluctantly, she withdrew her hand and went to the kitchen.

Inside the house, Yanbu poured himself a cup of sake.

Outside, a trembling voice murmured, "Kakashi is too cruel…"

Yanbu paused mid-drink.

"Kakashi?" He glanced toward the door.

"You mean Hatake Kakashi, the son of White Fang? It's no surprise that you lost."

He took a slow sip, then asked,

"Why did you fight?"

Tunan wiped his eyes and sniffled.

"Today, I told everyone that my parents are part of the Military Police Force—the proud defenders of Konoha."

He clenched his fists.

"Then Kakashi laughed and said the Police Force is full of cowards. He claimed you're too afraid to go to war and only know how to bully civilians. He said the real Uchiha fight on the front lines, and only weaklings stay behind."

CRACK!

Yanbu crushed the sake cup in his hand.

The room fell silent.

Then, he stood up and walked toward the bedroom.

"After dinner, meet me in the yard. We'll train in kunai throwing."

Tunan nodded, his face still streaked with tears.

---

The Choice

That night, Tunan stood in the yard, kunai in hand. A target was hung on a tree trunk.

He threw—

Missed.

Again—

Missed.

Inside the bedroom, Yanbu and Nanako knelt in silence. The air between them was heavy.

"Are you certain about this? The battlefield is dangerous." Nanako's voice was low.

Yanbu exhaled.

"I thought Tunan was just talentless, that he lacked ability." His eyes darkened.

"But today, I realized something worse—I am seen as a coward in my own son's eyes."

He clenched his fists.

"Tomorrow, I'll report to the Elders and enlist for the front lines."

Nanako's hands trembled slightly.

"Then I will go with you."

Yanbu shook his head.

"No. Stay and take care of Tunan."

Nanako's voice was firm.

"He must learn independence. I will fight beside you."

Outside, Tunan continued throwing kunai. He turned toward the house, his lips curling into a cold smile.

"Sorry, but if you don't die, I can't take my first step."

His fingers tightened around the kunai.

"The Will of Fire teaches us to sacrifice for the next generation, right? Then, die for me."

His gaze darkened.

"You may not be my parents, but I'll make sure this bloodline doesn't end. I'll find strong kunoichi and pass it on."

His kunai arced in the air—

And missed again.

Inside, Yanbu listened to the sound of failed throws.

His resolve hardened.

The Next Day – Academy Grounds

The semester was ending, and the students of the Ninja Academy gathered in the courtyard.

On stage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Third Hokage, began his speech.

"The Will of Fire burns within us all—"

He paused.

Most students stared at him in admiration.

But among them, a first-year student looked… skeptical.

Hiruzen frowned slightly.

Had he misspoken?

As he continued, he noticed the doubt in that boy's eyes gradually fade—

Replaced by understanding.

And then—worship.

But unlike the others, who admired his status, this boy truly believed his words.

Hiruzen's lips curled into a small smile.

"If this child grows up well… he could be a useful tool."

As the speech ended, Hiruzen cast one last meaningful glance at Tunan.

At that moment, Tunan trembled with excitement.

The Goodbye Note

At noon, Tunan returned home.

As expected, the house was empty.

On the table sat a meal and a single note.

The handwriting was delicate—Nanako's.

It detailed their departure for the battlefield, urging him to train hard and become a strong shinobi.

In the end, one line stood out:

"The Uchiha clan has no cowards. No weaklings."

Tunan folded the note carefully.

Then whispered,

"Safe travels. Don't come back alive."
