Chapter 318: Chapter 313: Then You and Fu Lin... Wait, Isn't This That!!!

Seeing that Fu Lin didn't respond, Mei softly called again, her voice full of confusion and puzzlement, not knowing why she was there.

Fu Lin replied instinctively, "I'm here."

Then he realized and looked at the now-awake Mei, his eyes full of concern and worry, "Mei, are you okay? How are you feeling?"

"I... I'm fine, just... my eyes hurt a little and I don't know why."

Mei gently nodded, feeling a stinging pain at the corner of her eyes. She then looked around with a somewhat lost gaze.

Mei's mind was blank at the moment. She looked at Fu Lin and asked, "Fu Lin, why am I here?"

----------------------------------

Fu Lin asked back, "You don't remember?"

"I... I don't know. Could it be that the other me came out again?! But the bomb in my body is still there..."

Mei looked a bit flustered. She then remembered her other personality, slowly placed her hand on her chest, grasped the soft flesh there, and murmured softly.

He had been struggling with how to explain the other Mei, but now that she saw Mei didn't remember what happened earlier, Fu Lin couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

"Don't overthink it. What you're experiencing is probably intermittent amnesia. You were just chatting and laughing with Kiana earlier."

Fu Lin, face calm and composed, tugged at the collar around his neck and pointed to Kiana, who was still asleep nearby, naturally convincing Mei of his explanation.

"See, she's right there."

"Intermittent amnesia..."

Mei murmured, and with Fu Lin's reminder, she finally noticed that Kiana was still leaning against her shoulder, sleeping.

Mei softly called out, "Kiana?"

At Mei's gentle call, Kiana remained sound asleep, her breathing calm and slow, the corners of her mouth slightly raised, as if she were having a sweet dream.

"Kiana, wake up, this isn't a place to sleep."

"You two are still so close, I'm jealous."

Fu Lin couldn't help but sigh emotionally, recalling the image of the other Kiana in his mind, wondering just how she and Mei had fallen out.

Feeling Fu Lin's gaze, Mei's cheeks turned slightly red. She reached out and gently nudged Kiana's shoulder, trying to wake her from her dream.

But her touch was as gentle as a breeze brushing against one's cheek, as if afraid of disturbing Kiana's beautiful dream.

However, Kiana didn't wake up, still immersed in sleep. Mei felt the wet sensation on her shoulder and let out a helpless sigh.

It turned out Kiana had drooled. Mei chuckled softly—this wasn't the first time, and she was already used to Kiana's sleeping habits.

Mei used her finger to gently wipe away the drool at the corner of Kiana's mouth, then softly called her name again.

Her voice was even gentler now, as if she were waking a sleeping kitten.

"Ugh, Mei, you're too gentle. Let me try instead."

Seeing the smile on Kiana's lips, Fu Lin really couldn't take it anymore. If Mei kept calling like this, they might not wake this lazy bug even by tomorrow.

After all, you should never try to wake someone who's pretending to sleep.

Just as Fu Lin finished speaking, Kiana's eyes finally opened slightly. She saw Mei's face, then looked at Fu Lin, showing a dazed smile.

Fu Lin, "...."

"Kiana, you're finally awake."

Mei reached out and gently patted Kiana's head, her gaze full of helplessness, so tender it could melt Kiana's heart.

"Mei~"

Kiana wore a blissful expression. If she had a tail, it would definitely be wagging furiously by now. Her eyes squinted slightly, the corners of her mouth lifted, clearly enjoying Mei's touch.

Her face was filled with a happy smile, and out of nowhere, pink heart-shaped bubbles seemed to float up around them, wrapping the two in a warm, sweet atmosphere—as if the whole world had become a better place in that moment.

Fu Lin's face revealed an awkward smile, as if he wanted to escape this scene.

This harmonious and sweet vibe made him turn his head away, unable to bear looking directly, suddenly feeling full—bloated, even.

Thinking about it more carefully, he figured he could skip dinner tonight. Nice, really nice~

'Nice, my ass! I don't want to eat dog food!'

Fu Lin shouted inwardly.

"Kiana, don't be like this... Fu Lin is still here..."

Mei's shy voice rang out, making people's imaginations run wild. Fu Lin couldn't help but clear his throat, then turned around and looked at the two holding hands, sticking to each other like glue, a knowing smile spreading on his face as he said,

"Ahem, um... carry on, I've got something to do, I'll be going now. Ciao~"

Mei's face turned a light shade of red, lowering her head bashfully.

Meanwhile, Kiana didn't notice Mei's change in demeanor at all. Hearing Fu Lin's words, she secretly gave him a look of approval.

After Fu Lin left, Kiana threw herself into Mei's arms and asked in a pitiful tone, "Mei, have you fallen out of love with me? Do you not like me anymore~"

Mei was confused, thinking Kiana was just being jealous again. She reached out and gently stroked Kiana's long white hair, softly saying,

"How could that be? I've always liked you, Kiana."

"Then you and Fu Lin... Wait, isn't that—!!!"

Kiana tilted her head, looking at the corners of Mei's reddened eyes. She rubbed her sore neck, wanting to ask why Mei had been crying earlier and why she knocked her out.

But just then, a familiar projection screen suddenly appeared before them. Kiana sat up in surprise, swallowing the words she was about to say.

She and Mei looked at each other in shock—they hadn't expected the Q&A livestream that had disappeared for over a month to suddenly reappear.
