Honkai x LOTM: Godish of Mysteries

As if summoned by his call, a familiar prompt emerged in Otto's sight.

[You called!]

"Yeah...I want to make a trade. Three Pathways, for three Herrscher Cores." He addressed while pointing to the nearby Herrscher Cores on his table.

[...You do know, once you make the trade, "WE'RE" going to have to patch it. Since Pathways are meant to be hard to acquire]

"Yes, I know when dealing with you, you're quite very stingy, so better to milk it all for its worth instead of holding onto them."

[To be honest, 3 Herrscher Authorities are barely equal to an Authority from an Angel (Sequence 2), plus those are dead cores and quite outdated]

"But weren't you elated by my act, tricking a Nigh-Omnipotent being into thinking I served a Mr. Fool?"

[How arrogant...Aren't you worried that "Child" would be listening to you?

"Why would I be? Aren't you here already? Doesn't you're existence merely block everything from hearing our conversations?"

[Cheeky one, aren't you...Well, that is why you're "OUR" favorite, and since you're performance was quite delightful! "WE'LL" give you some leeway!]

[If you can name the two Pathways, "WE'LL" give you both of them and something a little extra.]

[To make it a little easier, there'll be two hints: the first one being what the concept is that leads to discovery in the endless void, and the second one, what is the destination to which all return?]

Otto's brain and mind started to go into overdrive, seeing the screen. If he failed, he would lose another avenue of survivability, power, and, most importantly, less suffering for himself and others.

'The first one is the simplest, it's the Door Pathway. A Door to worlds and possibilities leads to discoveries in the endless void called Space.

As for the second Pathway, if Angelica had said the destination that all led to, Death would be the perfect choice since Death is the Final Destination, but instead, "THEY" decided to use the phrase to which all return...If I were to think what type of person Angelica was, it would be that Pathway.'

Having made out his mind, Otto slowly revealed the answer.

"Door and...." The word was on the tip of his tongue, but saying it out loud would have been a disgrace and shame on his nonexistent family.

[What? Too afraid of getting the answer wrong, cutie?]

He stared at the screen with a look of distaste and finally answered, "You're one sick, perverted bastard, you know that!"

[What you expect, but I am your sick bastard, aren't I?]

Ignoring "They're" sweet words, Otto announced his final answer.

"The Demoness Pathway symbolizes catastrophe, the apocalypse, the feminine side of the original creator, and the embrace that all things shall Return to Chaos."

[Oh, didn't think you understood so quickly. "WE" thought our trick worked into thinking it was Death, but oh, well.]

[Here you go, you deserve it, Future Bringer of the Apocalypse.]

Within Otto's sight, two prompts showed themselves with their illusory light, and on his desk, the once dead three Herrscher Cores were now decayed into nothing.

A symbolized icon of numerous layers upon layers of illusory turquoise colored Doors shoved itself into his chest and then into his soul.

The last symbol that merged into his soul was magenta colored, in its center were two mirrored spiral or horn-like shapes that dominated the center, curving into a woman's blossom, on the top center was a six-pointed flower, all combined into a hexagram.

As the surge of untapped Authorities and Symbolism disappeared from within, one last extra item started to emerge from thin air.

Glittering starlight, scarlet binds, and thin transparent puppet strings started to converge into one singular object...A black cane with embedded gems.

On top of the staff lay a small, decadent orb filled with a dark but starry sky as if the cosmos was engraved into it like a snow globe.

The wooden shaft had layers of scarlet bandages tightly wrapped around its base, giving the feeling of suppressed desire. 

Lastly, the pommel of the staff was transparent as if little strings were molding and shaping it into place.

It floated in the air, waiting to be picked up and used.

Otto quickly noticed the prompt for its info and quickly glanced through it.

The Stringed Staff of the Stars in Binds (Grade 0)

A cane made with the use of Three Herrscher Authorities from the Previous Era, Void, Binding, and Dominance. Engraved in its aspect were the dying cries of thousands of stars trapped in binds and strung along into this materialized form.

Effect:

Spontaneous Traveling: While holding the staff, using corresponding scenes in your mind, one that truly exists and is still in existence, the staff will allow the holder to cross all obstacles and distances, directly descending to their desired destination. The prerequisite was that the outlined scene had to be correct and not visually any different from the original. Every detail must be accurate. There cannot be any differences with the original.

Replication of Domination: With the staff, if some Beyonder powers or figures appear in your mind, this cane will reenact the corresponding powers and person. For the latter, a summoned figure will act as if controlled by a marionette and will be allowed to perform attacks up to multiple, but will cost a heavy amount of Spirituality. To achieve such an effect, one has to have a sufficient understanding of the powers and figures. Otherwise, various unknown anomalies will happen.

Elated Detachment: Striking with the staff will cause random negative effects on the target or cause them to mutate into a pile of worms or a deformed monster.

Downsides

Binding and Dominance: Due to the Authorities and effects of Binding and Dominance, when the Staff of Stars randomly teleports and disappears, the user can direct that occurrence onto a target, but there's a low chance of the downside happening.

The random, various anomalies that would appear around the staff unpredictably if unsealed instead increase Elated Detachment's effectiveness by 420%.

Finishing the prompt of info about the lengthy staff, Otto couldn't help but let out a crackling smile. His instincts were urging him to let out a villainous laugh, but he clocked himself in the chest to stop himself and quickly regained his wits.

Well, it didn't stop him from letting out an Elated smile since it was another trump card he had in his pocket. 

With the only downside being that he had to correctly picture the place he wanted to travel lest he accidentally enter some disgusting space...Like a planet ravaged by an infinite propagating swarm of bugs.

Speaking of Mystical Items, since Otto hid the monocle in his breast pocket, Faust didn't seem to notice it, thanks to the Gray Fog. 

"Thank you, Sefirah Castle...If I could kiss you, I would."

It was a shame that the Increase the Acting Method Effectiveness of Error Pathway by 100% didn't take effect since he wasn't wearing it, but he wouldn't risk it if Faust noticed something about it. Lin was greedy...Not stupid, most of the time.

With his thoughts sorted, Otto stood up from his couch and quickly cleared his mind while picking up the fancy cane. Coming in contact with it, he had a subtle sensation and feeling from it. Trapped in a cage and bound by scarlet, but accepting of his touch.

He moved to his desk, where the candles for the ritual stood, and placed them down gently where the decaying charms used to be.

His hand swiped the drop of sweat coming from his forehead and swiftly set up the ritual again. After a few moments of concentration and thinking he started his chant in Ancient Hermes of sending the Staff up to Sefirah Castle.

"I summon in my name, 

The Fool Higher than the Point of Existence;

The Error Who Lurks Within History;

The Door that Trails Through Endless Worlds;

I offer you a Staff glittering with Stars...May you accept my gift with money-grubbing hands."

After his awe-filled words, a surge of crimson light started to blast through the room, the wind in the veil of spirituality started to surge around and about until a grayish fog stemming from the Void of History emerged from the opening. 

It soon wrapped the star glittering staff with the fog, and it slowly started to float higher than the point of finite numbers. Its figure started to grow transparent as its existence moved into the space above the gray fog.

"Were Rituals always this flashy? Was it because of the name?"

For Honorific Names, they were a factor in Mysticism since it is used to contact/pray to a powerful entity, or in ritualistic magic to borrow its power. 

Since no one in the Universe used Ancient Hermes or had his specialty, it was easy for Otto to create an honorific name that pointed to himself or the fake persona named Mr. Fool. 

There was a possibility of it pointing to Aha the Elation because of the first line, but highly impossible because of the two other lines, plus the Cocoon of Finality's concealment onto the Solar System.

Done with the show, Otto performed the Luck Ritual and sent himself up the Gray Fog. The overlapping maniac whispers flood his ears before his entire scenery changes once more.

The ancient hall palace was still the same as always, the massive ancient table with numerous seats, the door of light inside the place with only two steps towards it, and lastly, the cane in front of the main head seat of the table.

Picking up the staff, it seemed to be a docile state instead of yearning for freedom, and within the Sefirah Castle, it was sealed, so Otto didn't have to worry about accidentally teleporting himself to a burger place or worse.

Taking a heavy breath, Otto grasped the staff tightly and imagined the figure of Raiden Mei as the Herrscher of Thunder, wielding her Authority.

Upon slamming down the cane, a surge of crackling devilish purple thunder burst from the "sky." The surrounding gray fog started to push away and scatter from the impact of the lightning. 

Several spider cracks started forming on the floor before rapidly rebuilding back to their normal appearance.

With the show of lightning and thunder over, Otto started smiling in joy.

"Damn...UNLIMITED POWER!"

His laughter subsided as the drain of his spirituality was apparent.

"Damn it! It's only 75% Unlimited Power."
