Hunter x Hunter: Transmigrated with Character Extraction System

Chapter 122: HHES: Chapter 122

Kurapika immediately lost consciousness.

Loki turned to Basho, who was standing on the floor above. Basho, under Loki's gaze, began to sweat.

"Um, Loki, I didn't mean any harm. I just..."

"Catch!"

Loki tossed a small green object. Basho caught it and looked at it.

'A bean?' "Take him away. Feed him this when you get back. It'll heal his wounds."

Basho was stunned, looking at the ordinary bean. This thing could heal injuries? While Basho hesitated, Loki's voice hardened.

"Don't you want to leave?"

Startled by Loki's menacing tone, Basho snapped back to reality. "Oh, no, no, no! I'm leaving now!" He jumped down, rushed to Kurapika, picked him up, and started to leave.

As he neared the exit, Loki spoke again. "If you don't do as I say, I'll kill you!"

Basho paused, sweating profusely. "I won't."

Basho fled the scene as quickly as possible, escaping both the terrifying Loki and the horrific stench of blood and burning flesh. He wanted nothing more than to leave this hellish place—the faster, the better.

Loki watched Basho go, then looked around at the burning corpses. The smell was awful.

"Is this how you treat your friends?" Pakunoda's voice echoed. She was leaning on a second-floor windowsill, watching Loki with amusement.

Loki ignored her question. The word "friend" was unfamiliar to him, at least in this world.

In this cruel world, Loki had learned harsh truths: anyone could betray or use you.

But your own strength and knowledge would never betray you.

Strength was Loki's only pursuit; he didn't care about anything else.

But Kurapika's friendship surprised him.

This man, consumed by revenge, had unknowingly considered him a friend.

Loki went to the rooftop, sat cross-legged, and waited for the next wave of victims. 'I hope they're stronger this time,' he thought.

Meanwhile, the man who escaped the flames was captured. In a secluded part of the city, a group surrounded him.

Their leader, the one who captured Gon and Killua, had a knife at his waist. Looking at the nearly dead, burned man, he gestured, and two accomplices dragged him into the woods.

Ah! A scream followed. The two accomplices returned.

"Well?"

They nodded. "It's him."

"Any useful information?"

Their expressions grew serious.

"He's a strong Nen user."

"One attack killed about three hundred people, including some Nen users—low-level ones, but still. His power is incredible."

"He said a stronger group found him—professional Hunters and strong Nen users—but he wiped them out in minutes."

"He was hit by dozens of rockets and was unharmed. His Nen isn't just flames."

Their expressions grew serious.

"Boss, what do we do? Attack?"

"Five, don't rush. We need to understand his abilities first."

"What about Fourteen? He's watching him. He's not leaving. Do we give up?"

Everyone looked at their leader.

"No rush. We wait. He said 24 hours. We still have time. If those two kids don't lure him out, we'll attack."

"Should we test his other abilities?"

The leader shook his head. "No point. His Nen is beyond ordinary people. Testing won't help."

They disappeared into the shadows.

Loki, on the rooftop, frowned. 'Someone's watching me.' He looked around casually. 'I can feel their gaze, but I can't pinpoint their location. Finally, some strong opponents.'

Night fell. Above Yorknew City, a group of people flew, their hands enveloped in Nen, like bird wings. Strangely, they all had this ability.

"Boss, why did we spare those two kids?"

The leader answered. "One's a Hunter, the other's a Zoldyck."

"A Zoldyck. That explains it." The Zoldyck name was well-known, even to non-Nen users. They were not to be trifled with.

They continued flying, disappearing into the night.

The moon appeared in the sky. Loki looked at it, feeling a sense of danger.

On a nearby rooftop, the person watching Loki withdrew his gaze.

"Boss, they're here!" He used Nen to create wings and flew into the clouds.

"Huh? Gone."

Loki grew alert. They'd been watching for so long. They wouldn't give up. They were about to attack.

He stood, stretching.

"Finally," he said, twisting his neck.

He looked at Pakunoda, who was resting below.

He was impressed she could sleep in that stench. Truly a Phantom Troupe member.
