I Accidentally Became A Superstar

Chapter 33: Moonrise Media

Moonrise Media.

A rising force in the industry.

It was founded by CEO Sonny Moon, a businessman who had developed a passion for film.

Despite only being established 15 years ago, the company had grown rapidly since then.

Its headquarters, a 7,000-square-meter building in Gangnam, housed actors, comedians, and even an in-house film set. In the basement, a large conference hall was situated. Independent directors could rent the entire place for filming or for their respective auditions.

However, Moonrise Media sponsored the venue for this particular audition because its main characters were none other than their artists, Ian Seo and Hyunbin Lee.

Meanwhile, outside the building were plenty of hopefuls, wanting to try their luck on the mysterious new medical movie—one said to be Moonrise's biggest project yet. Directed by Chaewon PD, a perfectionist known for her strict casting, the film had drawn actors from all over the country.

No one knew much about the story. But one thing was certain, they felt this was an opportunity that could change careers.

"Did you receive a script beforehand?" some asked.

"No. I think this is a cold reading."

"They didn't tell us any details."

"Yes, but this is Moonrise Media, and it's directed by Chaewon PD! I only heard of it from our CEO, but it seems they're going to be hiring a good number today."

"Oh, I wish I could get a speaking role."

The hopefuls began arriving individually and in groups. Monoblock chairs were laid out like it was some kind of talk.

It was quite the surprise. Most casting calls they've been to had a closed door system. That meant they were going to be called in one by one. However, it seemed they weren't implementing it for this particular audition.

Just then, two actors arrived at the same time, causing whispers to erupt from those who were already there. They internally smiled as the others began asking them for photos and autographs.

"Hyunjin and Jihwan are here."

"They're from Moonrise, aren't they? Why are they still auditioning for this?"

"It just shows that Chaewon PD only wants the best, even if it's just the extras."

As actors of Moonrise, the two weren't strangers to acting in mainstream shows. Although they've never had a main lead role, they still had an established fan base of their own. So, it left a bad taste in their mouth that they had to audition for an extra role when Chaewon PD was an inhouse director.

Meanwhile, Minseok of Continuous Dominance Entertainment strutted in with his chin held high.

Having passed the auditions for 'Broken Chains of Justice,' he was determined to get another role here.

His follower count on Sigmoid had increased three times since he was aired, so he was sure Chaewon PD wouldn't be able to resist him.

Just then, the other hopefuls began to squeal, causing him to feel even more important. "Ah, they are screaming for me," he muttered.

"Move please."

Just then, a short but buff security guard pushed him to the side before speaking into his intercom. "Miss Selina is in the building. Safe and sound."

Minseok's eyes raised in surprise. Selina? The famous 5th-generation idol with over a million followers? What was she doing in this place?

The others also began discussing her arrival.

"Doesn't she have so many brand deals right now? Why is her company sending her here?"

"I see, her company is greedy. They want the rich to become richer."

Even Hyunjin and Jihwan wanted to get close to the idol. However, she was surrounded by her two guards and was wearing sunglasses inside the conference hall.

A few minutes later, another bigshot came in. "Jisoo Yang is also here?"

Jisoo Yang, an upcoming actress that came from the same drama as Daniel—'Born to Conquer You.' However, she wasn't the lead actress, but the loveable best friend. Still, it earned her 300,000 followers on Sigmoid and a loyal fan base.

"Jisoo," Hyunjin, having acted in the same project, called. "Sit here."

The beautiful woman with brown hair smiled and gracefully sat next to him. They were all on the first row, along with Selina. It was the prestige of those who had built a name for themselves.

Subconsciously, those with lower projects sat at the very end, although it didn't make them feel too good.

Minseok observed the setup and smiled. He definitely deserved to sit in front! With that, he grabbed a seat from the back and dragged it to the front, sitting next to Selina's bodyguard.

Then, he sat without any shame, even if the others gave him weird looks.

Each seat has now been filled except for one. There was a singular open seat at the back, and they wondered who would come grab the last one. Just then, the doors opened, and they all turned to its direction.

"Maybe it's Ian Seo?"

"He's the main lead. Why would he audition for this?"

"Then, maybe it's Eunwoo Nam."

"He's in New York Fashion Week."

Their imaginations were quickly shattered, though, when a man wearing a white shirt, grey sweatpants, and a straw hat came in.

"Why did a hillbilly come to the auditions?"
