Chapter 313 [Oak Council] Councilor Isidore
In the inn, Lis tossed the corpse he held to the side and casually turned all three bodies into ashes with flames, leaving no trace.
Charles, who had already received Lis's healing, sat obediently to one side, watching Lis destroy the evidence without even blinking.
Getting information about the formidable pirate, Blood Shark Patrick, from these three was already the most valuable intelligence.
Although these three were not strong, perhaps because they were Evil God believers, they were quite stubborn.
Lis had tried many Confusion Control System spells before extracting part of the All Beast Church's intelligence from them.
The All Beast Church's manpower on the East Coast of the Boditch Kingdom was scarce, mainly consisting of two high-level priests.
One was the Gold-level Druid Patrick mentioned earlier, and the other was a Gold-level Warrior named Petar.
As a notorious pirate in the Pearl Sea, Patrick caused havoc, plundering merchant ships, seizing goods, and capturing slaves.
Meanwhile, Petar controlled an underground gang, securing Patrick's operations and selling the goods and slaves obtained through various smuggling and dark channels, making a huge profit.
Essentially, the All Beast Church's setup here revolved around these two men.
The three individuals from Marquis, serving under Petar, had always been in the ports along the East Coast of the Boditch Kingdom. They had come this time on orders from their superiors to capture Charles and extract information about the Oak Council from him.
Lis was familiar with the name 'Oak Council.'
It was an Extraordinary Organization with an ancient heritage, its core members mostly Druids who venerated the godly being Father of Oak - Silvius, a great entity with formidable Divine Power and part of the neutral and lawful spectrum.
His emblem was the 'Green Oak Leaf,' his Divine Domain was 'Wilderness Nature,' and his adherents also revered him as the Father of Forests and Father of Trees.
His mood often rose and fell with the balance of nature; he always held a fiery wrath against anything that dared to disrupt the harmony of nature and opposed any deity eager to disturb this balance.
The Oak Council was an organization that worshipped this great deity. Unlike His church, the Oak Council, after ages of existence, began to welcome Extraordinary Professionals such as Rangers and Hunters who were close to nature, besides Druids.
Like many Druid-led organizations, the Oak Council's goal was to maintain the balance of the natural world, but they were more open-minded and not as rigid as many other Druid organizations.
This was evident from their broader acceptance of professionals outside the Druids.
However, Lis was puzzled; frankly, the Oak Council was a quite powerful organization with a wide-reaching influence across the Main World of Gaia, with presence on virtually every continent.
How could the All Beast Church dare to challenge them?
"Charles, do you have anything to say?"
After cleaning up the scene, Lis turned to look at Charles, who sat like a well-behaved child.
"Yes, Lord Lis!"
Charles immediately stood at attention, a hint of a pleasing smile on his face.

"I don't know what you want to know?"
"You are a member of the Oak Council; why did the people from the All Beast Church want to capture you?"
Lis glanced at Charles and opened the window of the room.
He saw Basel and Helen exercising in the courtyard of the inn, with Black Cat lying lazily on a nearby tree, sprawling out in the sun.
Since Black Cat's last awakening, it returned to its nomadic lifestyle, usually roaming outside and not wanting to return inside Lis's body.
Lis didn't mind and let it be.
Helen seemed quite fond of Black Cat, often hugging and petting the Magic Pet whenever she had the chance to rest.
Black Cat didn't mind either, enjoying Helen's attention with delight.
"I don't know why either..."
Charles sighed deeply, speaking with a look of helplessness.
"Not to hide anything from you, I was always in Dillon Kingdom; I joined as just a peripheral member of the Oak Council, thanks to my teacher."
"Being from Dillon Kingdom, I went back to my hometown after leaving my teacher."
"In Dillon Kingdom, I met with a councilor of the Oak Council, and while seeking advice, that individual told me my future opportunity lay in the southern part of the continent."
"That's why I thought about leaving Dillon Kingdom again. I heard I could reach the Boditch Kingdom by sea, so I headed for Ward City and boarded the 'Mermaid.'
Charles could tell that Lis seemed to know quite a lot about the Oak Council, so he didn't conceal some lesser details.
"Getting hired by Captain Loren was also to save up some money. I had been to the Boditch Kingdom a long time ago with my teacher, so I'm quite familiar with it."
"But I've never had any dealings with the All Beast Church. Only heard from my teacher that they were very hostile towards us and warned me to be cautious if I ever encountered them."
Lis listened quietly to Charles's story, suddenly noting an important piece of information.
"You're saying you met with a councilor of the Oak Council?"
Lis tapped the table lightly with his right hand and asked Charles.
If it were indeed a councilor of the Oak Council, that could be quite interesting.
