I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!

Chapter 117 Kelpie's Dad

Alina made her way toward her classroom, humming quietly to herself as the morning light filtered in through the arched glass windows. Her steps were soft, her bag gently swinging by her side, and for a moment, everything felt peaceful.

But then—she paused.

Someone was standing near her classroom door.

No, wait—two someones.

She stopped in her tracks, blinking.

The first man was tall. Not just tall—broad-shouldered, towering, and built like a tidal wave carved into muscle. His skin was pale with a faint shimmer like moonlit water, and his long, dark-blue hair was tied back loosely, strands falling around his face like sea foam. His eyes were stormy grey, with flecks of silver like ripples on a deep ocean. His presence felt calm… but powerful. Like a quiet sea that could drown cities if angered.

Standing beside him, looking just as striking in his dark attire and calm expression, was Dante. His crimson eyes flickered with something unreadable, his horns catching the light like polished obsidian. His posture was perfect, hands folded neatly behind his back, his face unreadable yet quietly graceful.

Alina blinked again.

She hadn't expected this much handsomeness before classes.

Dante looked over first and nodded.

"Miss Alina," he said calmly.

She quickly straightened her posture. "Good morning, sir," she said politely, offering a smile.

Dante gave a slight nod, then gestured toward the tall, ocean-haired man beside him.

"This is Kelpie's father. King Corvus," he said simply.

Alina's eyes widened. "Oh—! Yes! Of course…!"

She just… didn't expect him to actually show up. Yesterday, he really had asked if he could drop Kelpie off at the kindergarten himself but she hadn't thought he meant it. And certainly not looking like a storm had taken human form.

"Hello, sir," she said quickly, bowing her head a little. "I'm Alina, Kelpie's class teacher. It's an honor to meet you."

King Corvus nodded slowly, his silver-ringed eyes studying her carefully. "You're Miss Alina," he said, his deep voice calm and regal. "You're a good teacher. My son has changed for the better."

Alina's breath caught a little. "Oh… thank you. That means a lot."

And suddenly, there it was—the double nervousness.

One, because she was standing face-to-face with the King of Tides.

And two, because Dante was right there too—watching her quietly. His crimson gaze steady. His expression unreadable. His horns catching the morning light like they were made of glass and magic.

She smiled, trying not to look flustered.

Until—

From the side of the door, she noticed a movement.

A small head was slowly peeking out from behind the frame. Wild, golden-red hair sticking up in soft tufts. Wide amber eyes darting between the two men.

Drake.

He was peeking like a little dragon spy, his chubby hands gripping the doorframe as he tried not to be seen—though his fluffy hair gave him away instantly.

He leaned back quickly, trying to hide his face behind the wall… but the top of his hair was still clearly visible, poking out like a puffball.

Alina raised an eyebrow but bit back a laugh.

And then—

Another head popped into view.

Smoother, neater.

Vlad Jr.

His pale face appeared behind Drake, his red eyes narrowed in disapproval as he tried to lean over and get a better view.

He huffed. "Move your hair, Drake. I can't see."

"You move! My head was here first!" Drake whispered back in panic, ducking lower.

Alina smiled—full of warmth now, her nervousness forgotten. She turned back toward the two men.

"King Corvus appreciates the way you've been taking care of his son," Dante said smoothly, his crimson gaze focused fully on her. "So… he's brought a gift for you. You can collect it later from my office."

Alina blinked. "A gift?"

Dante nodded once.

She blinked again. "Oh, no, sir! That's not necessary—really. Teaching is my job. You don't have to give me gifts for doing something I love."

King Corvus let out a deep chuckle beside them, his stormy eyes shining with amusement.

"Miss Alina," he said warmly, "please don't reject it. My wife and I chose it very carefully. We wrapped it ourselves, even added enchantments to make it sparkle. I'm certain you'll love it. There might be seashells involved."

Alina smiled nervously, feeling her ears heat up. "It sounds lovely, but really—I shouldn't accept something just for doing my job…"

But before she could finish, Dante tilted his head ever so slightly and interrupted, his voice low and sharp as always.

"Don't reject it," he said plainly. "He's a king. He took precious time out of his day to prepare something specifically for you."

Alina blinked at him.

His tone wasn't angry. But it left… no room for argument.

She gave a small awkward laugh, raising her hands a little in surrender. "O-Okay… okay. I'll accept it, then. Thank you very much, Your Majesty."

King Corvus smiled, clearly satisfied. "Good. I hope it suits your taste. If it doesn't, let me know. My wife will send a replacement and probably curse me lightly for choosing the wrong one."

Alina laughed softly. "I'm sure I'll love it."

King Corvus gave a graceful nod, his dark cloak shifting like waves as he turned to leave. He paused for a moment, glancing over his shoulder. "I'll leave Kelpie in your care, then. As always." And with that, he walked away, calm and silent as the sea before a storm.

She bowed politely. "Of course."

As he disappeared down the hallway, Alina straightened with a breath of relief, her smile still lingering.

But when she looked back—

Dante was still there.

And now, his attention was entirely focused on her.

He didn't say anything.

Just watched her expressionlessy.

Alina looked away quickly, her hand going to her hair as if fixing it would distract her.

Why is he staring like that?

But then—

From the edge of the classroom door—

A third head popped out.

Right on top of Vlad Jr.'s already peeking head.

"Gah—Luna!" Vlad hissed, leaning back as her chin landed on his hair.

Luna looked completely unimpressed, her little fangs poking out as she narrowed her golden-brown eyes. "Why are you blocking the view?" she asked, clearly annoyed. "I can't see anything."

"You're squashing my head!" Vlad muttered, trying to nudge her off.

"I'm taller than you," Luna declared proudly. "That means I get front view."
