I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!

Chapter 118 Baby debate court

Kelpie turned back and sat straighter.

"I… I tummy hurt," he blurted, his voice trembling. "It hurt… so much. A-all day…"

His eyes got even wider. "I couldn't swim. Or sit. Or blink."

Alina blinked. "You couldn't blink?"

Kelpie nodded furiously. "My eyelids felt… tired."

The class room was silent for a second.

Then Boo floated past and muttered, "That's the worst kind of sickness."

Sable nodded beside him.

Alina covered her mouth to hide her smile. "I see. Well, I hope your eyelids are feeling better now?"

Kelpie nodded seriously. "They're okay now… I think."

Alina smiled, her heart melting a little at the way he was still dripping nervous water.

"Alright," she said softly. "Thank you for telling me."

Then she looked toward her next target.

Little Rocky… who was already halfway hidden under his desk.

"Rocky, sweetheart," she said gently, "why didn't you come yesterday?"

The second she said his name—

Rocky froze.

Completely.

Like a statue carved out of soft, worried stone. His little shoulders stiffened, his hands clutched the sides of his desk, and he didn't move an inch. Not even to blink.

Alina had to cover her mouth with her hand to stop a laugh from escaping.

She walked over slowly and crouched near his desk, her voice softer now.

"Rocky?" she whispered, her eyes warm. "Please raise your head, sweetheart."

Very slowly… like he was preparing for judgment… Rocky lifted his head.

His blue eyes peeked over the top of his desk, full of guilt and nervousness.

"I-I was sick…" he whispered.

Alina nodded calmly. "Are you better now?"

He gave a tiny nod.

"Don't be scared," she said kindly. "Teacher isn't scolding you. I just wanted to know, that's all."

He nodded again, cheeks pink, then quickly ducked his head back behind his desk like a turtle returning to its shell.

Alina stood up, her eyes now drifting toward the final desk.

Vlad Jr.

She couldn't help the half-smile that curled onto her lips.

"Vlad Jr.?"

He sat up immediately.

Perfect posture. Chin high. Hands folded neatly on the desk.

He looked exactly like a little prince attending court.

Alina raised a brow. "Was the sun… rude again?"

Vlad Jr. blinked and his pale face immediately flushed with a soft, rosy red.

A very dignified red, but a blush nonetheless.

He cleared his throat quietly. "Teacher… I didn't feel well in the sunlight," he said with perfect, practiced elegance. "So… I didn't come."

"I see," Alina said, nodding thoughtfully. "Did it offend you again?"

"Yes," he said solemnly. "It was... loud."

"The sun?"

He nodded. "Very. Especially on my left eye."

Behind him, Boo whispered, "Sun's got beef with him."

Drake giggled under his breath, and Luna rolled her eyes with the tiniest smirk.

Alina just nodded and patted Vlad Jr.'s desk gently. "Well, I'm glad you're all feeling better today."

Alina stepped back and looked slowly around the classroom.

Her arms folded, her lips in a serious line, and her eyes scanned every desk with a calm but firm expression.

"Alright," she said, her voice calm but with a clear edge. "Teacher is very, very upset right now."

Immediately, the babies straightened up.

Sable blinked at her like she just said the world was ending. Boo stopped spinning mid-air. Rocky held his breath. Even Vlad Jr. sat up a little taller, just in case.

"Some of you… weren't honest with teacher," Alina said, her voice dropping into a gentle scold.

The class room was completely still.

"I know," she said, narrowing her eyes slightly, "you didn't stay home because of tummy aches or shoulder massages. You didn't come because of worm monsters."

Gasps.

Luna's eyes widened like she'd been accused of royal treason.

"No, Teacher!!" she shouted, standing up with both hands on her desk. "I'm not scared of worm monsters!"

Alina raised one brow and looked at her silently.

Luna's eyes darted to her left.

Then to her right.

Her hand pointed quickly. "It—it was Drake and Vlad Jr!"

Drake shot up from his seat. "No I'm not! I'm a big dragon, okay?! I wasn't scared! Luna's lying because she was scared!"

Luna gasped. "You LIAR! You told Vlad Jr. not to come! And you looked like this—" She scrunched her nose and made a weird face. "'Hnnnngg I don't wanna gooo.' Just like that!"

Drake's eyes popped. "I never made that face! That's not even my face!"

Alina stood still, letting them argue like two baby lords in a royal court.

"You lie," Luna snapped, her tiny fangs peeking out.

"You lie first!" Drake shouted back. "You said your dad needed shoulder massage!"

"He did!" Luna huffed, crossing her arms proudly. "He said I have special paws!"

Vlad Jr. quietly sighed and placed his hands on his desk. "Why am I being blamed?"

"You didn't come either," Luna said, narrowing her eyes.

"My reason is elegant," Vlad Jr. replied with a slow blink. "The sun was offensive."

Alina watched them one by one, lips pursed, holding back a very strong urge to laugh.

This wasn't a class.

This was a full-blown baby debate court.

Finally, Boo crossed his arms and floated in a slow circle. "Everyone's lying… except Boo. Boo always tells the truth. That's why Boo's name is 'Boo'."

Kelpie slowly slid down in his seat and whispered, "I said tummy hurt… and it did! A little…"

Alina let out a long breath.

Then placed her hands on her hips.

"I see," she said. "So no one was scared of worm monsters?"

All the kids immediately shook their heads.

"Nope!"

"Not even little bit."

"Just… small sick!"

"It was the sun's fault."

Alina sighed and looked at them one by one.

Luna had her arms tightly crossed, glaring at Drake like he betrayed her kingdom.

Drake was still standing, puffing his chest like a tiny warrior. "I already said I'm not scared!"

"You were about to cry!" Luna snapped, pointing a tiny accusing finger at him.

"I was not! You didn't even see me!" Drake shot back, puffing out his cheeks. "I only talked with Vlad Jr., that's all!"

"But I know you were about to cry!" Luna said firmly, her little nose twitching. "My wolf senses told me!"
