I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!

Chapter 146 Class D flower

"Mine is shinier!" Luna announced, pointing at her golden and pink petal and puffing her chest out proudly.

"Nooo, mine is shinier! Look, look!" Kelpie argued, tapping his glittering yellow petal so hard that a few sparkles flew into his hair, making him look like a walking star.

Rocky smiled shyly, his stone-like cheeks faintly warm as he whispered, "It's… very beautiful."

Felix nodded seriously, arms folded as if he were an art critic. "Yes. This is masterpiece. We should put it in museum."

Boo flipped upside down again. "Nooo, we should put it on classroom wall! So everyone knows Boo's banana answer helped make it special!!"

Alina laughed softly, shaking her head as she brushed some stray glitter off her sleeve. The classroom, usually chaotic and loud, was filled with a rare kind of hush—one of simple wonder. The flower wasn't just colorful; it was glowing with the babies' joy, their pride, and all their little arguments that somehow made it even more alive.

"Alright," Alina said gently, her voice warm as her eyes swept across her little students, "this is our Class D flower. And it's beautiful because each of you made it together."

"Class D flower!!" the babies shouted, their voices overlapping with excitement as they all clapped their hands.

"Alright, everyone, stand together for photos… yes, hold the card sheet up together!" Alina clapped her hands with a bright smile. The children scrambled into place, some bumping into each other.

"Hold the card sheet nicely, don't squish it!" she instructed, adjusting Kelpie's hands because he was holding it upside down. Boo, of course, was floating above everyone with a cheeky grin until Alina pointed at him. "Boo, come down or you'll be a glowing dot in the photo!"

"Fineee…" Boo pouted, drifting down and wedging himself right between Drake and Luna.

"Okay, now big smiles, everyone! Luna—stop glaring at Drake. Drake—don't stick your tongue out at Lucien! And Vlad Jr.—hands out of your pockets!"

The kids tried their best to obey, though it looked more like a circus lineup than a proper group picture. Kelpie puffed his chest, Rocky blushed and stared at his shoes, and Boo flipped himself upside down at the last second.

"Perfect, don't move!" Alina quickly pulled out her phone and snapped several pictures. "Done!" she announced, chuckling at the ridiculous mix of poses.

"Teacher, show us, show us!!" Drake bounced on his toes.

Alina handed him the phone, and the second he saw the picture, he squealed, "SO COOOL!! Look!! I look handsome too!!" He passed the phone around eagerly.

Each baby admired the photo with wide eyes—Luna huffed that her ears looked too big, Boo kept insisting he should've been allowed to float, and Felix proudly pointed at his glitter petal like it was a trophy.

Alina looked at them all glowing with pride and laughed softly. "Alright, you all have a little break time now."

"YAAAY!!" they cheered, scattering instantly like fireworks. Drake ran in circles, Luna chased him while snarling, Boo tried to steal the glitter again, and Rocky quietly sat down with a shy smile.

Alina stayed behind, glancing at the sparkling flower one more time. It really was beautiful. She lifted her phone again and quietly snapped a few more photos, unable to stop smiling.

After the children scattered off into their break, Alina called one of the workers to sweep up the trail of glitter that had somehow managed to coat the desks, floor, and even the chairs. Boo's upside-down floating hadn't helped; little sparkles were still drifting from the ceiling like fairy dust. Shaking her head with a quiet laugh, she reached for her water bottle, sipping slowly as the classroom finally grew quieter.

That was when she noticed Rocky. While the others were either running around or huddling in pairs, he was sitting neatly at his desk, small hands folded on top of it as though waiting for a teacher to call on him again. His soft blue eyes flickered up at her before darting away, shy as always.

Alina's heart softened. She walked over and leaned down beside him, resting her hand gently on the edge of his desk. "Did you enjoy it, Rocky?" she asked with a small, encouraging smile.

"Yes… yes," he said quietly, his cheeks warming as he dared to look at her for just a moment before lowering his gaze again.

Alina chuckled softly, but then she noticed his fingers were still dusted in green and silver glitter. She reached out, brushing his hand lightly with her fingertip. "Sweetheart, you should also go and wash your hands. Glitter is pretty, but if it sticks too long, it might make you itch."

Rocky blinked at her, eyes widening in surprise as though she had just revealed a secret. "I-I will go!" he said quickly, hopping down from his chair. His little feet pattered against the floor as he scurried off toward the washroom.

Alina straightened, smiling to herself. There was something endearing about Rocky's quietness, how he never made a fuss like the others yet always seemed so grateful for the smallest bit of attention.

Meanwhile, inside the boys' bathroom—which was absurdly luxurious for a kindergarten—golden faucets sparkled under the bright lights, and even the mirrors gleamed so clean you could see your nose hairs if you leaned too close. The sinks and toilets were built perfectly low, just the right height for little monster babies to reach without climbing. A faint lemon scent floated in the air, though right now it was completely drowned out by the sound of splashing water.

Rocky, who had come in obediently after Alina told him to wash his hands, was standing at the sink, scrubbing carefully with his tiny palms. His shy little face reflected in the mirror, looking very serious. But beside him, Drake had other plans. The dragon baby was splashing his own hands, then his arms, and then—because he couldn't help himself—he flapped his wet wings with all his strength.

"DRAKE!!!" Boo screeched, spinning through the air like a soaked ghost balloon as water splattered everywhere. "Why are you taking bath in sink?! This is hand-wash place, not swimming pool!!"

Drake only puffed his cheeks, flapping harder. "I'm helping Rocky clean! Look, I wash the air too!!"

Poor Felix, who had been trying to rinse glitter off his fingers, was instantly drenched. His bangs stuck to his forehead, and he groaned. "This is not 'helping,' this is disaster!"
