I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!

Chapter 159 Five super senses (4)

Boo gasped dramatically. "No no!! Boo only checks quality for babies!! Very professional taste-tester!!" He puffed his cheeks proudly, making the class giggle harder.

Felix raised his hand lazily. "Tasting is for telling if the food is expensive or not." He leaned back in his chair like a noble. "Cheap snacks have no honor."

"Felix," Alina groaned softly, rubbing her forehead.

Rocky raised his hand shyly. "…Tasting is for… finding out which pebble is… crunchy."

Everyone turned to stare at him.

"ROCKY!!!" Kelpie gasped, clutching his face. "You really eat rocks?!"

Rocky shrugged innocently. "…Sometimes."

The whole class burst into laughter again, and Alina could only cover her smile, shaking her head. "No, Rocky. Pebbles are not food."

Finally, Lucien raised his hand, his voice calm. "…Tasting is also for knowing what's safe and what's not. If something tastes wrong, you don't eat it."

Alina's heart warmed. "That's right, sweetheart. Very smart."

Drake puffed his chest. "So if it tastes good, you eat it all! And if it tastes bad, you give it to Boo!!"

"HEY!!!" Boo shouted, spinning upside down in protest as the classroom filled with laughter again.

"And hearing is for…??" Alina asked with a chuckle, tapping the board again.

"Listening to teacher!!" Luna answered immediately, her little fists on the desk like she was scolding the rest of the class.

Alina's lips curved warmly. "Very good, Luna!"

But of course, the others weren't going to let it end there.

Drake waved both arms. "Teacher!! Hearing is for listening to my tummy when it says feed me snacks!!" He leaned close to his desk like he was listening to something. "Oh no, teacher, my tummy says it's starving again!"

The class erupted into giggles.

Boo spun in the air, clapping his hands. "Hearing is for listening to gossip through walls!! Boo always hears when the principal snores!"

Alina pressed her palm to her forehead. "Boo…"

"It's true!!" Boo insisted proudly, puffing up. "His snores go BOOM BOOM like thunder!!"

The babies howled with laughter, even Felix trying to hide his grin behind his hand.

Lucien rolled his eyes and shot Boo a glare. His dad didn't snore at all.

"Teacher," Vlad Jr. said calmly, "hearing is for listening to music… or poetry. Not dragon tummies and gossip."

"Correct, Vlad Jr.," Alina said with relief.

But Drake jumped up. "Lies! Hearing is for when Luna yells at me!! She always hurts my dragon ears!"

"Because you're annoying!!" Luna barked back, her cheeks puffing.

Rocky raised his hand timidly. "…Hearing is for… listening to pebbles fall."

Kelpie blinked. "Rocks talk??"

Rocky nodded solemnly. "…Sometimes."

Sable lifted his hand shyly, his voice quiet. "Hearing is for listening when friends call you."

Alina's heart melted. "Yes, sweetheart, that's true."

Then Felix finally spoke, smirking lazily. "Hearing is also for pretending you didn't hear, so you don't have to do homework."

The class roared with laughter, and Alina just sighed, shaking her head. "Alright, Class D, that is not what I meant."

She smiled, her eyes soft. "But yes—hearing helps us listen to voices, music, friends… and even tummies sometimes."

"And touching is for…?" Alina asked.

Drake shot his hand up immediately. "Touching is for squishing Luna's fluffy cheeks!!" he shouted, already reaching across the desk.

"DON'T!!" Luna snapped, baring her tiny teeth as she covered her cheeks with both hands. "My cheeks are not toys!!"

The class burst into laughter.

Boo spun upside down, dramatically flopping on the rug. "Touching is for poking things you're not supposed to!! Boo once touched the principal's big scary chair… and then ran away before it ate me!!"

Alina blinked, holding back a laugh. "Boo… the chair did not eat you."

"Yes it did!! In my dreams!!" Boo insisted, puffing up like a balloon.

Sable raised his hand shyly. "…Touching is for… holding hands… with friends." His voice was so soft the others actually quieted for a moment, and Alina's heart melted at his sweetness.

"Very true, sweetheart," she said warmly.

Rocky raised his hand too. "…Touching is for… warm rocks."

Kelpie gasped. "Touching is for… water! When it's cold and when it's warm! It feels different!!"

Alina smiled. "Exactly, Kelpie."

Felix leaned back lazily. "Touching is for stealing your friend's snacks before they notice."

"FELIX!!" Alina said, trying not to laugh, while Drake gasped dramatically. "So you are the snack thief!!"

Vlad Jr. finally spoke, his voice calm and elegant. "Touching is also for writing… and playing instruments."

"Very good," Alina nodded.

Drake suddenly shouted again. "Touching is for tickling Boo until he screams!!"

"DRAGOOON!!!" Boo shrieked, flipping upside down as the whole class erupted into giggles, rolling around until Alina clapped her hands for quiet.

"Alright, alright," she said with a chuckle. "Touching is for feeling. For warm hugs, soft pillows, cold water, rough stones… and yes, even fluffy cheeks."

"Not mine!!" Luna huffed, hugging her cheeks tightly again, which only made everyone laugh harder.

"Five minutes break for all~~" Alina announced cheerfully, and instantly the room erupted into squeals and cheers. Chairs scraped, tiny feet pitter-pattered, and the classroom became a whirlwind of baby chaos.

Of course, Boo wasted no time. He zipped straight to the nap spot, reappearing a moment later dramatically astride his giant plush banana. "EVERYONE!!! Banana King has arrived! Bow! Bow before your fruity ruler!!" he declared, puffing his chest.

Nobody paid him any attention.

Luna was too busy scratching her beanbag like it was an enemy, Vlad Jr. was carefully examining the cork board and Drake was poking the wallpaper stickers suspiciously as though they might hide snacks.

Boo gasped dramatically. "How dare you peasants ignore Banana King!!"

"Boo, sit down before you crash into something," Alina said, though she couldn't help laughing under her breath as she held up her phone to record.

Boo wasn't done. He spun the banana around, stopping right in front of Sable, who was clutching his little orange plush tightly at his desk. "Sable Able!! Would you like to ride on the mighty Banana??" Boo asked, grinning ear to ear.

Sable's wide eyes blinked nervously. "What if I… fall?" he whispered, his voice barely audible.

"Fall?? Impossible!!" Boo puffed up. "Banana King protects all riders!! No one falls from royal banana!!"
