Chapter 162 Luna Gift
Boo leaned forward, lowering his voice to a spooky whisper. "Yes… and it's juicy!"
"What's it??" Alina asked curiously, leaning forward. After all, this was the very first time Boo was about to share gossip about someone other than Dante. Usually, the principal was the main character of every Boo story.
But before he could answer…
"BOOO!!! DRAKE IS GOING TO EAT YOUR SNACKS, COME QUICKLY!!!" Luna's urgent shout rang through the room.
Boo's round little eyes widened like saucers. "No way!!!"
And in a flash, he shot out of the classroom, a blur of glowing white streaking through the air.
Alina blinked at the empty space he left behind, her curiosity gnawing at her. "Oh, Boo…" she muttered with a helpless sigh. "What am I going to do with you?"
Now she would keep wondering what his "juicy" Gabriel gossip had been.
Shaking her head, Alina gathered her things and stepped out of the classroom. For a brief second, her nose caught something—faint, unpleasant, the kind of smell that reminded her of something lifeless, like decay.
She froze, her brows knitting.
But the scent didn't come again. The hallway was clean and quiet, only the soft echo of footsteps and distant chatter. Maybe she had imagined it.
With a small exhale, she continued on to the staffroom, though the unease lingered quietly in the back of her mind.

After break time, the babies slowly shuffled back into the classroom, chattering and laughing as usual. Alina followed behind them, smiling.
until the moment she stepped inside.
Her nose scrunched. There it was again. That strange, rotten smell.
"Ughhh!!" Drake immediately covered his nose with both chubby hands, his wings twitching as if he wanted to escape. "Teacher!! What's this stinky smell!!!"
Boo looked even worse—he was floating in the air, his face pale (well, paler than usual). "Boo's going to vomit in air!! Don't look, it will rain ghost vomit!!" He flailed dramatically like a dying balloon.
Vlad Jr. pulled out his embroidered handkerchief and pressed it to his nose with a frown. "Disgusting. Who dared to ruin my perfect atmosphere?"
Kelpie gagged, little droplets of water splashing out around him. "Oh no… smells like… dead fish…"
Rocky had already frozen into a rock, his stone body trembling slightly on the floor.
Lucien and Felix both glanced around warily, their noses twitching as the stench spread thicker.
Alina covered her mouth with her hand. "What on earth—?"
Luna's golden- brown eyes narrowed as everyone complained about the strange smell. In a flash, she shifted into her little wolf form, her fur bristling like an angry puffball. Without hesitation, she tugged open her tiny bag with her teeth, grabbed something inside, and leapt straight onto Alina's desk.
To everyone's horror, she dropped a stiff, lifeless squirrel right on top of Alina's lesson papers.
"Luna??!" Alina gasped.
The wolf pup hopped down, her tail wagging proudly. A shimmer of light, and she shifted back into her little girl form. With the same pride as a princess showing her crown jewels, she announced, "Teacher, Luna brought gift for you!"
The class exploded.
"YUUUCCCKKKYY!!" Boo wailed, his eyes huge as he pointed dramatically at the squirrel. "It's dead!!! Teacher, run!!! Boo will protect you!!" He floated in front of her like a bodyguard, only to scream again. "AHHH it blinked!! It blinked at me!!" He spun upside down.
Drake clutched his nose, stomping his feet on his chair. "TEACHER!!! She's cursed us!! We're all gonna smell like dead squirrels forever!!"
Vlad Jr. wrinkled his nose in pure disgust, holding his silken handkerchief like a shield. "Unbelievable. How dare anyone present such a… barbaric thing to my teacher!"
Kelpie gagged so hard water splattered across his desk. "It's worse than rotten fish!! Make it stop!"
Rocky instantly froze into his rock form and rolled under his desk with a thunk.
Lucien sat stiff in his chair, his brows twitching. "…It's definitely dead," he muttered in a flat voice, as if confirming everyone's nightmare.
Felix, meanwhile, sighed and leaned back in his chair. "Teacher, should I call the Elders? This is… clearly not sanitary."
Alina pressed her palm to her forehead, torn between laughing and fainting. "Luna, sweetheart…" she crouched to her level, her voice soft. "Thank you for thinking of me, but maybe next time bring me something else? Like… flowers? Or drawings?"
Luna's ears drooped, her lower lip trembling. "You… don't like Luna's gift?"
Her eyes grew watery, and Alina's heart clenched. Quickly she cupped Luna's cheeks and smiled. "I love that you wanted to give me something, Luna. That's very sweet. But teacher doesn't want dead animals, okay? Cookies… or a picture you drew would make me just as happy."
Luna blinked, stunned. "Cookies??" she whispered like it was some secret magic word. Then her eyes lit up and she nodded furiously. "Okay!! Luna will bring teacher cookies!!"
"YES!!" Boo shouted, shooting up into the air. "Boo accepts cookies too! Teacher and Boo both like cookies!! Everyone bring Boo cookies!!"
The classroom dissolved into groans, laughter, and more complaints about the smell, while Alina quickly grabbed a cloth to wrap the poor squirrel. She muttered under her breath, What am I going to do with these babies…?
She felt a gentle warmth inside at Luna's pure-hearted intention, and she quickly carried the poor squirrel outside to dispose of it. Meanwhile, Luna stood in the middle of the classroom, her little fists clenched as she glared at everyone.
"Why are you all behaving wildly!!!" she growled, cheeks puffing out. "That was Luna's gift to teacher! Luna hunted squirrel earlier just for teacher!!" Her voice was so proud, like she had just presented a crown jewel instead of… well, a smelly carcass.
Boo slapped his forehead dramatically. "Teacher's gift should sparkle, not stink!! Boo was ready to vomit glitter!!"
Drake stomped his foot, tail twitching. "It was stinking sooo bad!! Are you sure you hunted it fresh, or you just grabbed a dead squirrel from the ground??"
Gasps filled the room.
Luna's golden eyes flared as she whirled on him, her wolfish growl rumbling low in her throat. "ARE YOU DOUBTING MY CAPABILITY??"
