I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!

Chapter 164 Meeting

The last lesson of the day slipped by smoothly—Alina had guided them through literature, then enjoyed the noisy chaos of their PE games, and finally settled them with a short, light story in language class. By the time nap rolled around, the babies were more than ready to tumble into the little haven she had prepared.

Alina walked ahead of them, her steps light, while her little troop followed behind. Drake was cheering loudly, bouncing as if nap time was a parade, his stubby arms swinging as he danced. Boo floated in lazy circles above him, spinning like a dizzy balloon. And Sable trailed along, hugging his orange plushie tight, eyes sparkling with pure excitement at the thought of curling up beside it.

"Everyone take whichever spot you like!!" Alina called cheerfully, gesturing toward the cosy nap nook.

The corner she had decorated had transformed into a dreamy nest—soft, colourful mats spread neatly across the floor, fluffy pillows and tiny blankets folded in stacks, and plushies waiting like little companions. On the wall, the new wallpaper she had chosen glowed softly in the warm light: teddy bears snoozing on tree branches, a sleepy crescent moon, and smiling pastel planets.

Vlad Jr. headed straight for the shadiest corner, where Alina had even placed a tiny coffin bed just in case. But to her delight, he chose one of the mats today instead, reclining with a cool, princely air as if it had been his idea all along. Sable quickly dropped down beside him, hugging Orange tightly, his big eyes shining with contentment.

Drake scowled at the sight, mumbling under his breath about betrayal. "Hmph. Vlad Jr. is cheating on our friendship…" He plopped down noisily next to Luna instead, shooting suspicious looks toward Sable.

Rocky and Kelpie wandered toward the far side, about to lie down together, but Luna—in wolf form—growled, puffing up her little body before flopping herself right between them. With a tiny sigh, Rocky rolled into pebble form and Kelpie obediently curled up on the other side. Boo, of course, drifted down dramatically and flopped beside his banana plush, wrapping around it like it was a royal bed.

Felix, on the other hand, had already shifted into his fox form, his seven fluffy tails curling protectively around a watermelon plush as he tucked himself in. Lucien quietly lay down beside him, his eyes soft, as though their closeness was enough comfort.

Alina couldn't stop smiling as she looked around. Her heart melted when she spotted Sable hugging his orange plushie so tightly it was almost squished, his lashes already fluttering shut. "Sweetheart…" she whispered to herself fondly.

One by one, the classroom settled into peaceful silence. Tiny breaths filled the air, tails twitched faintly, and plushies were hugged close.

Alina quietly slipped back to her desk, pulling out her laptop. She had received new paperwork from Dante in her email that morning—documents about schedules and plans for Class D. As her little students drifted into dreams behind her, she sipped her water, her eyes skimming through the glowing screen, her heart full.

After her kindergarten class ended, Alina went to the staffroom. There, Gabriel informed her of an impromptu important meeting called by Dante. She collected her attendance sheet and reports to bring with her.

Four chairs had been arranged neatly before Dante's desk, and Alina sat down beside Gabriel. Miss Kelly perched on the other side of him, already smoothing out her papers, while Professor Hobb sat stiffly, his grumpy face as unreadable as ever.

"Let's begin the meeting," Dante's voice rolled out, smooth and commanding.

All four teachers nodded in unison.

One by one, he asked about their classes—how the children were progressing, what problems they were facing. Kelly reported on her six-to-eight-year-olds progress. Professor Hobb grumbled about the mischievous older ones but admitted they were showing signs of discipline. Gabriel spoke softly about his group, his words warm, his smile faint as he described their curiosity.

When Dante's crimson eyes finally shifted to her, Alina straightened her back. "Class D is progressing very well, sir," she said clearly. "The children are learning quickly and adapting to new schedules. I've added moral studies and science to their timetable, and they've responded with surprising excitement during science class."

Dante inclined his head, a flicker of approval in his gaze.

"Suggestions?" he asked at last, his voice low, deliberate.

For a moment, silence hovered. Then Alina raised her hand.

Dante's brows lifted slightly. "Yes, Miss Alina?"

"Sir…" she hesitated for a second, then found her courage, "the children have been studying so diligently. Perhaps it would benefit them to have a trip—a picnic, or somewhere outdoors where they can both learn and enjoy themselves. It would be refreshing for them and also help strengthen their bonds."

Gabriel's eyes lit up, his expression softening with approval. "That's a wonderful idea," he said gently.

Kelly adjusted her glasses, thoughtful. "It could be educational if planned well. Perhaps a visit to the botanical gardens or historical grounds."

Hobb gave a deep grunt, crossing his arms. "Hmph. Picnics. The brats will only get dirtier than usual. But… they might burn some energy, which is good."

Alina almost laughed at his reluctant tone.

Dante, however, had gone very still. His eyes lingered on her face for a long moment, as though dissecting the idea not in practicality but in the way she presented it. She could feel the intensity of his stare, cool yet strangely attentive. Finally, he leaned back in his chair.

"A trip," he said slowly, tasting the word. "It is unusual… but perhaps valuable." His gaze swept across all four of them before settling back on her. "Miss Alina, if you are willing to plan it in detail, I will approve it."

Her heart skipped, her lips parting in a smile. "Yes, sir. I'll prepare everything."

"Good," Dante murmured, the faintest hint of a curve at his mouth. "Then we shall see how Class D enjoys their first outing."

Alina's fingers worried the edge of her papers as she hesitated. "But sir," she began, choosing her words with immense care, "I'm afraid I don't know much about this world. My knowledge is… limited to a few good places in the human world." The admission hung in the air, a silent apology for her inadequacy. She watched him, anxiously anticipating his reaction.
