I Became a Little Vampire Princess After Being Infected by a Game Virus

Chapter 72: What Time Is It? Aren’t You Sleeping?

Chapter 72: What Time Is It? Aren’t You Sleeping?

Aierjisi just gave Diablo a scolding that made both Gaia and Yake freeze in disbelief.

“What are you staring at? Didn’t you want to take a bath? Hurry up!”

Seeing Yake still standing there in a daze, Aierjisi pushed him, urging him to go wash up.

“Ah? Oh…”

Only then did Yake regain his senses and obediently grab his clothes to head to the bathroom.

Gaia walked over to the window, observing Diablo’s reaction outside.

Diablo’s reaction was similar. He had just been scolded by Aierjisi, and he was left in complete confusion. What on earth was happening?

“Pfft! That little princess is really something! It’s the first time I’ve seen Diablo get scolded like that. And his reaction is just too funny.”

Titan was rolling on the ground, holding his stomach, laughing uproariously. It was indeed the first time he witnessed such an amusing scene.

“Absolutely. I didn’t see this coming either. I wonder how Diablo will handle it now.”

Gilbaris shared the same astonishment. Aierjisi’s scolding had left him speechless too. He never anticipated this development.

“Aierjisi, I came all this way just to duel with you, and this is how you treat me?”

Diablo finally snapped back to reality, feeling a bit robbed after making the effort to come, only to receive a cold shoulder.

“What else would you expect, big brother? At least check what time it is! It’s already dark out, and it’s freezing cold. I just finished my bath and don’t feel like going out. If you want to fight, can you pick a better time next time? Maybe consult the almanac for a lucky day?”

Aierjisi opened the window again, shouting at Diablo outside.

“Uh… then I’ll come back tomorrow during the day. Should be better, right?”

Diablo frowned, giving it some thought. Aierjisi did have a point—late at night was indeed not a good time for a brawl.

“Sorry, I have plans tomorrow. If you want to fight, come the day after. I don’t have anything scheduled then.”

He still needed to go with Yake to the bar to meet Weirafiya and the others, so fighting this brute wasn’t on his agenda.

“The day after, huh? Fine, I’ll come back then. But don’t run away this time.”

“Okay, it’s a date for the day after. Just pick a good time, don’t come during mealtime or I’ll be eating and won’t have time for you.”

“Got it. I’ll choose a good time for sure. I won’t bother you any longer today; I’ll head back.”

With that, Diablo actually opened a wormhole and left obediently.

This scene left Gaia baffled.

What is this? Diablo actually retreated like that? So it was that simple to make him back off? If he had known, he would have just let Ailin scold him instead of going out to confront him.

In short, seeing Aierjisi’s trick work made Gaia’s worldview shatter.

“Alright, nothing else to do, Gaia, you should head back and get some rest. You still have a lot to deal with, right? You need to rest properly.”

Aierjisi pat Gaia’s back, encouraging him to go get some well-deserved rest.

“Ah? Oh. Thanks for the concern, I’ll head back to rest. Wait, how did you know that would make Diablo retreat?”

Gaia didn’t register it at first, but was genuinely about to go rest. Only later did he realize something was off.

“No, I didn’t know he would retreat at all. I was just mad, so I pointed at him and scolded him without thinking. His retreat actually took me by surprise.”

Aierjisi shrugged. She hadn’t thought much of it at the time. She was just enjoying her bath when that clueless jerk Diablo barged in and ruined everything, making her blood pressure spike, which led to her scolding him until he left.

Come to think of it, does scolding someone really make them feel intimidated? When she’d been scolded by her boss, it was the same—she had just stood there trembling, not daring to move as he hurled insults at her.

“Alright. Seems I need to learn a few scolding techniques too.”

After witnessing Aierjisi’s tactics, Gaia now understood how essential it could be to master the art of verbal combat.

“Ah? You want to learn how to scold people? Maybe skip that.”

“What are you talking about? After seeing your technique, I’ve realized just how powerful scolding can be. So I’ve decided to learn a few tricks.”

“No, no! You really should reconsider. You’re a king; it’s inappropriate to be publicly scolding people!”

“Well, you’re a little princess of the Blood Clan, right? Is it suitable for you to scold others like that?”

“I’m different from you! I still don’t know if the other members of the Blood Clan are alive or dead. My title as Blood Clan Little Princess is just for show. It doesn’t stop me from scolding people! Once the Blood Clan revives, I definitely won’t be scolding publicly anymore.”

“Is that so?”

“Absolutely. As a king, you need to mind your words and actions. No citizen wants a king who spews nothing but filth.”

“Fine, if you put it that way, I’ll just drop it.”

After Aierjisi’s comments, Gaia was increasingly dissuaded from his plan to learn to curse.

“I’m done! Aier, do you need to wash up too?”

Just then, Yake came out of the bathroom, freshly bathed.

“Of course I need to wash! You go sleep; don’t mind me. I was interrupted by that idiot Diablo and have to start all over again. It’s infuriating! Gaia, you get some rest too.”

She patted Gaia’s back and closed the room door as she returned to her space.

“Ah… the day after? I wonder if Ouxs can keep up. Might as well check.”

Considering Aierjisi’s duel arrangement with Diablo for the day after, he hoped Ouxs’s inventions would be ready in time.

And judging by the recent attack on their barrier, Diablo seemed to be even stronger than before. If they faced him head-on, defeat was guaranteed.

“You actually came back without starting a fight? We thought for sure you’d storm in and give her a beatdown.”

Seeing Diablo return like that, Titan struggled to contain his laughter as he teased him.

“What can I do? It really wasn’t a good time for a brawl; it was pitch dark outside. They need to sleep too. Charging in there would have been inappropriate.”

Perhaps too much power had muddled Diablo’s mind. He actually considered that fighting at night wasn’t wise and came back.
