I Became the Commander of a T*ashy Sci-Fi Game

Chapter 478

Chapter 478. The Second Tanhoizer Siege Battle. (3)

Anyway, because of the insane scale of the battle, it seems like my ships aren’t making much of an impact, unlike usual… But honestly, it only looks that way because of the sheer scale. It’s not like my weird special ships are doing nothing.

[Tanhoizer Allied Forces Exclusive Chatroom]

– [Artillery Corps, let’s go!]

– [Annihilation Ship ON]

– [Damn, that bombardment is fire]

– [Wish I could rapid-fire]

– [Fr]

– [I want an Ouroboros too]

– [If you go loot Humanity, you might get one]

– [You’d die if you tried…]

– [You gotta be ready to risk it all for a snack lol]

—————————————–

For example, Urong from the ‘Artillery Corps,’ formed by users’ Annihilation Ships and Siege Battleships, is dishing out sweet damage with 140% overcharged bombardments.

– BOOOOM!!

– “All shells hit the enemy line!”

– “Hreðsvelgr has sunk an enemy ship.”

– “Excellent.”

– “Enemy aircraft detected, launching intercept missiles!”

– “…But somehow, it feels like we’re shooting down more aircraft.”

– “Other ships are focused on the frontline brawl.”

Despite using its awesome strategic missile feature to deal meaningful damage to the Punishment Fleet’s main ships, or showering the enemy line with missiles alongside other ships, Hreðsvelgr somehow seems to be hunting more aircraft.

– KABOOOM!

– “Enemy shells hit Kraken, no damage!”

– “Must be because of its Dreadnought-class frontal armor. It’s tanking shells that reach this far.”

– “What a relief.”

Even though they used their teleportation assault ages ago, the two Krakens are tanking with their ridiculously sturdy frontal armor, typical of an ‘Aircraft Carrier.’ They’re doing their part to help in the battle. And as always, our wildcard Nerañzara…

[Tanhoizer Allied Forces Exclusive Chatroom]

– [Oh sh*t]

– [Anomalocaris’ propulsion system got wrecked!]

– [Who did that?]

– [Seems like luck, but damn, that’s lucky!]

– [Use the Siege Battleship’s warhead to blow it up, nice and clean]

—————————————–

– “Commander, we’ve destroyed all propulsion systems on the enemy’s super-large aircraft carrier.”

– “Oh.”

– “We’ll continue attacking the remaining enemy main ships as long as our ammo holds.”

‘So competent!’

Beams and shells thicker than its own hull length are flying everywhere. It casually slips through missiles and torpedoes several times its size while submerged. It’s tying up the annoying Punishment Fleet’s main ships… Or it’s slamming torpedoes into weak spots like external bridges, temporarily disabling them. Through perfectly timed terror tactics, it’s giving the Punishment Fleet a taste of its own medicine.

Of course, if Nerañzara were to roam alone, its periscope sticking out of subspace would’ve been spotted and destroyed by the enemy fleet long ago, rendering it useless…

—————————————–

[Tanhoizer Allied Forces Exclusive Chatroom]

– [Yo, I hit the Titan Arum’s bridge!]

– [I hit it too?]

– [There are hundreds of small ships running wild nearby, who even knows who did what lol]

– [Let’s just say everyone did it]

– [This is next-level chaos]

—————————————–

As the chaotic yet spirited chatroom shows, Nerañzara is currently roaming an area already swarmed by allied user fleets. With ships far larger than any periscope running around, our Nerañzara can leisurely spam torpedoes and humiliate the enemy fleet.

Though, if we had close-combat superhumans like Smeragi, Ignis, or Partia on board, we might’ve been able to hijack a few enemy ships…

– “By the way, if Smeragi, Ignis, or Partia were on Nerañzara, couldn’t we have captured a few ships?”

– “To deploy those superhumans, Nerañzara’s hull would have to leave subspace, which is too risky.”

– “Ah, that’s a real shame.”

Just like how Nerañzara’s ridiculously overpowered spatial torpedoes got nerfed for balance reasons…

Well, it seems like it’s due to some kind of balance issue.

Inside the subspace, you can’t use ‘Assault Pods,’ and superhumans can’t go outside the ships.

‘Don’t stifle my creativity, devs.’

As Jessica said, it’s truly a pity! You had no choice but to deploy only Nerañzara.

And even if Nerañzara didn’t have such balance issues, bringing superhumans along wasn’t really recommended.

“Plus, look, both allies and enemies are deploying a ton of ships and superhumans, right?”

“That’s right, Commanders. Just the superhumans deployed for close combat alone would exceed 100,000 across all ranks.”

“The scale is too big. If I’m not careful, my superhumans might get swept away and die screaming the moment they’re deployed.”

“Ah, I see.”

Just like fleet battles, the ‘siege battles’ (?) happening on each ship were equally insane in scale.

Over 100,000 close-combat superhumans, and if you include command-type or buff-type superhumans, it’s almost 150,000.

And if you add the troops pouring out of the assault pods from enemy ships crashing into ours…

No joke, there were literally millions to hundreds of millions of ‘regular troops’ or ‘superhuman armies’ clashing wildly with the Punishment Fleet.

So, deploying my precious superhumans recklessly? Yeah, I couldn’t help but hesitate.

==========

And after the initial phase of unlimited firepower exchanges ended…

Both the users and the Punishment Fleet had their forces reduced to less than half compared to the start.

Especially on the user side, where the number of ships was relatively low to begin with, and they kept throwing away ‘common-grade’ ships as cannon fodder since they could always build more.

While the Punishment Fleet lost about 45% of its strength, the users suffered over 50% losses.

But ironically, thanks to the reduced scale, users started unleashing all sorts of bizarre and creative strategies…

Title: Now that the scale of the Tanhoizer siege has shrunk, all kinds of crazy stuff are happening.

Author: ㅇㅇ

Content: [A gif of about 50 forced salvage ships, including Anchorage, simultaneously attacking and dismantling a Titan Arum.]

Like the Titan Arum getting utterly shredded.

[A user’s tearful chat after teleporting aircraft into the multi-layered decks of a Rafflesia II-class ship, causing a kamikaze charge.]

Some users even copied the Kraken teleportation tactic that the AI showed during an event, but with aircraft.

It’s just ridiculous to watch.

Comments:

-[So fun~]

-[Finally, some actual game-like maneuvers are coming out.]

-[Before, the firepower was too insane to do any flanking or anything, but now that the scale has shrunk, we’re seeing some interesting scenes.]

-[Aircraft kamikaze… The spirit of the Imperial Army lives on…]

-[LOL]

—————————————–

As described in those posts, users are employing all kinds of creative tactics.

—————————————–

Title: Wow, where did all those Gigantia-class ships come from?

Author: ㅇㅇ

Content: [A picture of 50 Gigantia-class super-heavy cruisers brought by Anti-Faction users performing a flanking maneuver and firing a volley from the side.]

So that’s why the Pirate Alliance was so furious.

But damn, those ships are strong.

Not Titan Arum-level, but they can wreck most things.

Comments:

-[Aren’t those supposed to be the Pirate Alliance’s next mainline ships or something?]

-[Since when do pirates make next-gen mainline ships?] (Author)

-[Let’s just think of the Pirate Alliance as a full-fledged nation in this game.]

-[Besides those, ships like the Paragon-class or Lingua-class keep popping up from various factions.]

-[Are they pulling them out of a fourth-dimensional pocket? They’re supposed to be on the run after getting beaten by factions, but ships keep appearing.]

-[LOL, true.]

—————————————–

As the comments suggest, ‘high-tier ships popping out of nowhere’ kept joining the frontlines.

Poor Xenobia’s Punishment Fleet was mentally breaking down, realizing they weren’t the ones punishing but being punished instead.
