Chapter 1: PILOT PT1
Prologue
Bip ... bip ... BIP
In a comfortable and luxurious room in the upscale part of Kyoto, Japan, a man... a being, slowly gets out of bed to the deafening noise of the alarm clock ringing.
'Man'
"Ah... did I sleep in again?"
While asking himself this question, with lethargic movements, he got out of bed, shaking off the residual sleep.
'Eh,,, it's been 18 years, right? Since I... well... I was born.'
Such a being had a secret kept in the deepest corner of himself; he was not of this world, more precisely, his soul was not originally of this world.
He, in his previous life, was just another recent college graduate, enjoying the joy of having landed a good job at a major firm in the Old World. He was enjoying the feeling of satisfaction from having his efforts rewarded when he had the brilliant idea to take his rental car and take a drive around the area where he was, to get to know where his new home would be, and when everything was going perfectly well, until...
Vroom... Scriiich .... Bang ... boom
These were the last sounds I heard before my vision went dark and I fainted. While I remained in a strange state of consciousness and unconsciousness, I began to hear noises, and they slowly grew louder until the darkness I was in transformed into a well-lit environment. The people, or what I presumed to be the spots in my field of vision, were nothing more than a cluster of colors, with the predominant color being white in my sight. In my previous life, I spoke 9 languages, including Japanese, so I could understand the sounds I heard with some clarity.
"Just a little more, Yasaka-sama, he's almost out!"
"AAAAHHHHHHHHHH...."
"That's right, ma'am, it's already halfway through the body!"
"AAHHHHhh...."
"Done, Yasaka-sama, he has already left."
At that moment, I felt what I imagined to be a pair of hands around me lifting me up and another pair of hands running over me. I felt the fabric slowly removing the liquids and other things from my skin, until suddenly the pair of hands froze and then a scream.
"Wha... What is this!?"
The sudden scream startled me, and I quickly felt the pair of hands holding me pull me into a corner, when suddenly
Slap
"Buaaaaa!!!"
Immediately after a hard slap on the butt, I felt an uncontrollable urge to cry, and I cried, and cried a lot. 'Son of a bitch, that hurt like hell, this is child abuse.' I thought resentfully, but just when I was about to curse mentally a bit more, I felt myself being handed over to another pair of arms.
"Here, Yasaka-sama, congratulations, it's a 'seemingly' healthy boy!"
"Apparently!?"
Yasaka
While Doctor Yokai handed me my child, I felt a surge of anxiety hit me as the word 'apparently' hammered in my head. In those few seconds before I took my firstborn, a thousand and one worries crossed my mind, but not even my nearly 300 years of life could prepare me for what I was about to witness.
The moment I picked up my son and started checking, I had the biggest shock of my life because right next to his little ears, which by the way were so cute, there were 2 small golden lumps that, from my long life experience, resembled the shape of a horn before it developed. If that wasn't strange enough for a Kitsune, when I looked at his back, I had another surprise. Right in the center of his back, it seemed like 2 little tails were coming out, which vaguely resembled the shape of wings. And while I was intrigued by these 2 items on his back, I noticed that in the middle of his nine tails, not yet so fluffy and soft, as expected since my little one was born just a few minutes ago, there seemed to be another tail with what looked like a... heart? at the tip.
And just when I was about to continue examining my little fox, I heard her start to cry a soft cry.
"Buaa"
The doctor, quickly, when he heard the cry, told me.
"Yasaka-sama, he has just been born and I believe he wishes to feed."
That sentence of yours quickly pulled me out of my trance, and I promptly pushed the questions about his appearance to the back of my mind and brought him close to my bosom, starting to feed him. As soon as he smelled the milk, he forcefully advanced towards me and began to suck the milk as if his life depended on it.
'Adorable.'
While I was feeding my cub, a Yokai approached me.
"Yasaka-sama, do you already know what Bocchan's name will be?"
"Well... I had thought of another name in case it was a boy, but I believe this one suits him better."
"My little one will be called Kaito."
