Chapter 324: True Target II
More than that, the ability passively invigorated those bound to him- Rose, Dr. Shaw, Luna, his Draconic Hybrids, and even his living weapons- granting them surges of energy in proximity to his presence, as though they stood beside a warm, celestial bonfire that never dimmed.
Not blinding. Not explosive. But inevitable. Magisterial! Like the slow, relentless dawn!
Tbe other was just as unique.
Aetherium Pulse.
It was not just blood that surged within him now. It was something gloriously more.
Every few moments, Achilles could emit a subtle pulse of Aetherium- refined cosmic energy synthesized from both Primordial and Evolutius Energy flowing through his assimilated forms. These pulses, invisible to the naked eye unless focused on, destabilized other forms of energy within a limited range, weakening their cohesion and interrupting condensed forms of power.
In battle, this would manifest as a ripple of invisible force that made it harder for enemies to maintain their abilities, shields, summonings, or any complex usage of power!
Aetherium Pulse didn't destroy- it unraveled everything. It bypassed power to strike at structure.
Together, the abilities formed a foundation.
Vitalis Surge made his life force radiant and enduring. Aetherium Pulse made his enemies' energy usage fragile and unstable.
Paired with the literal Imperial Sun of Adrastia and Imperial Crown of Adrastia floating above him…he could effectively say his lineage was ridiculous!
And this was only the beginning.
The next stage was…
Emperor's Genome Alignment.
He stared at the phrase, golden threads of destiny gently weaving around it. The potential it promised stirred something ancient within his very existence.
But he would need time. Strength. Precision.
But meanwhile…
"It looks like it is time to take care of the Lunaris Throne."
…!
Rose's eyebrows lifted. She tilted her head and asked calmly, "What's wrong?"
Achilles didn't respond right away. His gaze was distant, focused on something far beyond the sea they floated within.
"Destiny is screaming," he said at last. "So many lives are being lost… and even more are going to be lost soon. And all of it… all of it is from his hands."
He clenched his fist as the glimmering sea trembled slightly around him.
"I sent a message to Seraphelle to check with her bodies near the Capital of the Lunaris Colony Dynasty."
His voice darkened.
"She just confirmed it. Something's begun at the heart of their capital. Blood. Darkness. The Lunaris Throne is even fighting against the High Elves he called to rule over the humans of his Colonies now."
…!
Rose's expression turned serious in an instant. Her emerald-flamed hair shimmered with sudden heat.
"Let me join you," she said with finality.
Achilles turned to her. For a moment, his features softened.
Then he leaned in.
Their lips met- his hand touching her waist as faint starlight circled around them, his [Biological Nurturing VI] flowing gently into her. She gasped softly into the kiss, warmth blooming beneath her skin like roots drinking from sunlight.
When he pulled back, her cheeks were flushed.
He stayed close.
"Stay close to me, and don't go out of your way, okay?" he murmured.
"Mmm…" She nodded, licking her lips, a bright smile following.
Achilles waved his hand- and white flames flickered across his palm.
A flash of brilliance lit up the sea as Nyxaria emerged from the coral reef, the water bending around her presence. Her expression was unreadable.
Achilles turned toward her.
"We're heading out to kill your father."
…!
The words hung in the air like a thunderclap.
Nyxaria blinked, and for a heartbeat, silence.
Then… a smile. Brutal. Radiant. Bloody.
"Finally."
…!
They looked at one another- Achilles, Rose, and Nyxaria- as white flames wrapped around them, laced with threads of gold and violet.
Then…
They vanished.
—
Above the Capital of the Lunaris Colony Dynasty.
BOOM!
The skies cracked.
A Celestbone Stage High Elf was cleaved in half, his scream split by the edge of the Scythe. Blood spiraled downward in a scarlet arc- his body vanishing into dust and gore.
All across the airspace, thousands of aerial vessels hovered in chaos. Warships, transport fleets, and armored carriers bearing the insignia of the Lunaris Colony. They trembled now in dread.
The Luminblood Stage Overseers, the Dharma Kings, and the Ethereal Masters all looked upon the central figure in terror.
Their Throne…
The symbol of their power.
The embodiment of their Dynasty.
And now… their executioner.
His robes were soaked in blood.
His eyes gleamed with shadow.
They stared.
And he saw their stares.
Fear. Horror.
Disbelief.
The voice came to him again.
From the Scythe.
From the altar.
From the primordial shadow whispering through every corner of his mind.
"Look at them," the Primordial Light of Darkness intoned.
"Look at their fear. At their pity. At their worthless uncertainty."
"They do not know what power is."
"Power is not gifted, little one. It is not some celestial rain that falls gently from the sky. It is taken. Stolen. Ripped from flesh and bone and fate alike."
"And you…" the voice curled like a blade across his soul. "You will continue taking."
BOOM!
The Scythe moved in a blur.
Hundreds of vessels exploded in the skies.
Streams of blood and flame spilled like rivers down the skyline of the capital.
The Overseers howled- many already retreating in frenzied panic, knowing they could not win against the one who ruled them.
"There is nowhere to run."
The Lunaris Throne's voice rang out like a death knell.
He lifted the Scythe toward the city.
Above, a silver-black crescent moon formed- its brilliance shining like an executioner's blade ready to fall and raze the towering structures below.
But then…
HUUM!
White flames bloomed.
Gloriously!
A crown of golden threads flickered in the sky.
A purple-gold sun ignited beneath it.
The Lunaris Throne's eyes trembled.
Standing beneath that sun…
The King Primal.
Achilles Adrastia Maxwell.
And beside him…
That whore of a daughter.
And another whore who dared stand with him.
His hand gripped the Scythe tightly.
And in his mind, the voice echoed once more.
"Ah…" it rumbled in deep pleasure.
"There it is. The fear. The truth."
"Your true target has come."
"Now…"
"Now, it is time to erase it."
HUUM!
