Chapter 599: As long as Ella cooperates enough, we can win this battle!
A resplendent beam of light streaked across the pitch-black expanse of the void, breaking through the barrier of the Divine Kingdom and extending into the space-time rift that led to the moon in a foreign realm.
The restarted spaceship raced along the trajectory left by the beam at an unimaginable speed.
However, before returning to the Eternal Star, Lynn had one last thing to do, which was to destroy the entire foreign realm!
Accomplishing this was not an overly difficult task—the battered world was already teetering on the brink of collapse. All that was needed was a sufficient force to completely shatter it!
And Lynn's choice was the most thorough one, igniting the core of the planet!
"The destruction of a world, ah!" Vittorio said with emotion.
Before the spaceship entered the space-time rift, the destruction had begun, and the cooling core erupted with its final surge of strength!
Hideous fissures spread across the earth's surface as torrents of terrible lava erupted from the ground, forming soaring columns of fire that tore the land apart, bringing ruin to all creatures lingering within the foreign realm.
The warlike Mersai people had just burst through the gates of Shattered City, ready to celebrate yet another victory, only to be engulfed by the magma bursting forth from beneath them.
Even the Legendary Priests displayed looks of horror, radiating the brilliance bestowed upon them by the gods to the fullest extent, but it was all in vain—neither the sturdy Divine Arts shields nor any attempt to fly out of the realm could avert their doom.
Apart from the true deities, no life could survive such a catastrophe...
What the Thunder and War God witnessed upon their arrival was a scene of such carnage, with millions of Mersai people perishing at the same moment, their souls entering the Divine Kingdom.
While the deaths of believers were merely an early harvest of nourishment for the gods, paying such a hefty price only to gain a collapsing plane was unbearable.
The God of Flames, Salos, was the first to face the wrath of this great deity. Flame was subordinate to Thunder in divine rank, and although there was no servitude between them, such hierarchical oppression was more dreadful.
Salos was well aware that if it weren't for the rules set by the chief god, the Thunder and War God would have already waged a divine war against him to reclaim this fragment of lost power!
Thus, Salos had not a shred of divine pride before the great God Harrov, quickly recounting everything that had happened since his arrival in the foreign realm, and explained that he was merely a lesser deity, powerless to intervene when even the God of Lies, Ankara, had been slain by the enemy.
The death of Ankara was sensed by the Thunder and War God the moment they stepped into this region.
What truly surprised him was that the one who killed Ankara was not the great deity from another major plane they had anticipated, but an external god of roughly equal strength to Ankara, only a mid-tier one, who only managed to kill Ankara because he had exposed his true form through deceit.
"So, not only is Ankara dead, but the Moon God Domain has perished, and we've also lost the coordinates to that major plane?" The Thunder and War God was extremely irritated. Without precise coordinates, finding a completely unknown plane was as fantastical as a wild goose chase.
"That may not necessarily be the case..."
A glimmer of light and shadow emerged in the void, and the one who spoke was none other than the God of Life and Creation. He didn't wait for Harrov to question or accuse him, but spoke again. "Great God, I bring you the key to that major plane!"
As he spoke, the God of Life and Creation spread his hands open, bright moonlight blossomed in his palm, and the figure of Diana was quickly revealed within.
This was not Diana's true form, but an incarnation. To avoid a miscalculation in the engine room, Diana had made preparations from the start, projecting a part of her power outwards even as she threw the Moonlight Spear.
"Was it you who killed the Moon Goddess Diana, seizing her power?" The Thunder and War God mocked the palm-sized aura, as powerful surges of thunderous energy swirled around him. The immense pressure caused the moon behind Diana to tremble unstably.
Despite facing a great deity far more powerful than herself, Diana did not back down. Her gaze was piercing, and her expression composed as she explained, "The Moon Goddess Diana was not slain by me; I merely received her relics and blessings. The wizard who killed her is our common enemy..."
"The Wizard Council wields incredibly potent power, far more formidable than you have anticipated!"
"I believe you've now witnessed those massive alchemical creations capable of ultrahigh-speed movement and firing devastating Energy Cannons. There are at least a hundred of these constructs, known as spaceships!"
Diana continued to emphasize the council's immense strength and invincibility, seeking to heighten her own value, and then she stated unequivocally, "Do not underestimate the power of those wizards. Without my help, it would be impossible for you to enter and conquer that world..."
"I smell the scent of lies, Moon God..." Harrov cut off Diana flatly, his voice cold and resounding in the void. The next moment, a powerful arc of electricity struck the slightly illusionary projection of the moon.
The spreading lightning soon engulfed Ella, bringing with it a soul-deep pain and numbness,
"Regardless, we share a common enemy, an alliance would be the best outcome!"
The Thunder and War God burst out laughing—a lesser divine being with weak Divine Power, who had just attempted to deceive him, was unworthy to discuss cooperation.
"No need, I have a better plan!" The Thunder and War God reached out and grasped Ella's incarnation of the full moon within his palm.
This incarnation held a part of Ella's soul, linked to her true self across time and space in a subtle way. If a god's life could be used as a source of energy, it would be enough to open a sufficiently large space-time passage to accommodate a powerful deity passing through...
...
In the vast universe, within an unknown galaxy, Vittorio and the others who had successfully escaped back to the moon, all breathed a sigh of relief. The situation had been incredibly dire, they had almost believed they would be forever stranded in the boundless void.
As the severely damaged spacecraft slowly landed inside the moon base and no enemies emerged, everyone finally relaxed completely, looking up at the huge, azure Eternal Star in the sky, they couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of life...
They had all survived, not a single one of the ten ships was missing—truly a fortunate stroke of luck amidst misfortune.
"With that, the threat from the main world has been lifted, hasn't it? Without the coordinates, it's impossible for them to find us here any time soon!" Rafael said in a relaxed tone as he stepped out of the spaceship.
After all, there's a sevenfold difference in the flow of time between the two worlds; they wouldn't need to worry about those gods from the main world coming after them for a considerable length of time.
But just thinking about those alien fleets gradually approaching the Eternal Star gave Rafael a massive headache. In this clash with the gods of the main world, they had gained little advantage and suffered significant losses, with even the main ship sustaining serious damage.
"No, it's not that simple; I think it won't be long before they truly step into this world," Lynn countered.
"But you've already blown up the foreign domain, so those gods shouldn't be able to get the coordinates of the Eternal Star..." Vittorio couldn't help frowning.
"Indeed, they don't have the coordinates of this life-giving star; however, that doesn't mean they have no other means of locating it..." Lynn said, turning her head toward the direction of the main ship's power room.
During her battle with the Moon God, she had noticed something the deity was doing but hadn't concerned herself with it.
Or rather, she had deliberately allowed it to happen!
In sparing the believers of Ella within the Eternal Star for a time, Lynn had given her the capacity to amass some power, so that at the right moment, Ella would end up revealing some information.
However, this time the actions from the main world had indeed caught him off guard; a principal deity taking matters into their own hands had nearly crushed the entire plane, and the residual force had resulted in the arrival of three gods appearing simultaneously within the foreign domain.
Fortunately, in the end, his goal had been achieved, and the situation had not entirely spiraled out of control.
"Do you intend to guide those gods from the main world into battle with those extraterrestrial civilizations?" Harrov immediately grasped Lynn's intent, and was thoroughly astounded.
It was undoubtedly a highly risky maneuver, but if successful, the gains could be immense!
Whether it was the main world, reputed to have over a hundred gods, or the extraterrestrial civilization that had the power to slay gods a millennium ago, neither was something they could confront at present.
Lynn nodded, directly contesting enemies far more powerful than oneself was hardly a wise move, and the principal deity was particularly daunting. Better to leverage this disparity in information and reap the benefits as an opportunist.
"Can this really work?" Aurora asked with great concern. She doubted whether those extraterrestrial fleets truly had the power to withstand the might of the main world's deities.
"It will depend on how cooperative Ella is..." Lynn said with a smile, cooperative or not, Ella would inevitably reveal some information about them.
Especially those spacecraft—once the gods from the main world recognized that this unique 'alchemical creation' was their distinguishing feature, the chances of the plan's success would be significant!
The only concern was that one side's forces would far exceed the other's and destroy the other effortlessly, but this probability wasn't high. If there were such a significant difference, then their resistance would have been meaningless.
