Chapter 128
My mother was crying. At first, she was crying with a look of injustice, but now she had a truly sorrowful expression. That expression was so pitiful that I couldn’t help but momentarily forget the emotions I had been holding. My mother wiped her tears with her hand and then showed me her palm. Her skin had melted off as if sulfuric acid had been poured on it, leaving a grotesque appearance.
“Look at your arm too.”
The arm she had held was also burned, reddened as if it had been scalded. It was just a touch, but it had caused that much damage. Once I realized the injury, my arm started to sting.
“This is the kind of relationship we have. Just a little touch, and our bodies start to melt. Just now, you almost died. I barely saved you with my strength. If we fight, we’ll both be destroyed. Mutual destruction.”
“No, what are we, cola and Mentos? Are we going to explode just by touching?”
Sigh… “I’m not good at teaching others, but listen carefully. There are only two ways to kill a god.”
She extended two fingers with her healthy hand and made the number two.
“First, be strong enough to crush a god. But this is impossible for anyone who isn’t completely insane. Gods, by nature, rule the universe.”
Then she folded one finger… Why did she fold her index finger and insist on showing me her middle finger?
“And second, strike at a god’s weakness. And my weakness is… you.”
At that point, I could somewhat understand the strange effect that happened when our bodies touched, almost as if sulfuric acid had been sprayed.
“But why exactly am I your weakness? Is there really a need to intentionally create a weakness?”
“… That’s none of your concern, so just forget about it. But I don’t create weaknesses on purpose. I didn’t make you for that reason.”
“Then… what?”
The atmosphere became awkward again.
“Does it hurt?”
“Well, it’s not unbearable…”
My mother started rummaging through a drawer with a bashful expression. She then threw me a bottle of potion.
“Spray it on the wound.”
“I… this…”
“Just spray it if I tell you to.”
My mother really was like a dictator. Well, now that she wasn’t asking me to spray some dangerous poison, I sprayed it on my arm, and like a lie, the wound disappeared. What the hell? Was this some sort of magic potion? As soon as I sprayed it on the burned skin, I heard a sizzling sound, and the wound started healing, until it was completely gone with a ‘pop.’ Hallelujah!
“Of course, you’re probably thinking some stupid stuff right now, aren’t you?”
“No, not at all.”
“Your expression says otherwise. It looks like you’re thinking something stupid.”
“I am a serious person 24/7.”
“Stop joking around. If you keep it up, it’ll be considered a crime.”
I was incredibly frustrated. Where in the world could you find a man as serious and reserved as me, and yet I was being treated like this?
My mother sat on the couch and started staring at me intently.
“Is there something on my face?”
With a disapproving look, she spoke to me.
“You’re such a player.”
“What?”
The sudden attack hit my chest. Isn’t it a bit unfair to attack like this when I haven’t even raised my guard? My mother kept delivering rapid-fire jabs without stopping.
“You’re fooling around with four women? And you don’t even seem to care about which one you’re with? I really don’t get what you’re trying to do. Watching from above, I was so dumbfounded. Especially that Lorcha, you should be apologizing to her.”
Honestly, I didn’t have much to say about the Lorcha situation…
“And that Camellia, the half-elf? You made her go crazy… You would’ve ruined an entire country if you were a woman. Just because of your lower parts, a country almost collapsed.”
“I’m lucky I was born with that.”
“And that Glacies? She really went all the way, huh? I was watching and got so embarrassed, I had to cover my eyes. How could you do that when you went to refuse her? Is your brain connected to your balls?”
Despite all this harsh criticism, I couldn’t say anything in return.
“And your disciple… sigh… That crazy psycho… I’ve never met a woman so rude and obsessive in my life.”
“Ah, you mean Iris? No way.”
Iris was just a girl with her head in the clouds. Of course, since she was close to me, sometimes she would get impulsive, but she wasn’t rude or obsessive.
“No, I’m serious! What that girl said to me… no, we promised to keep it a secret.”
My mother sighed, grabbing her forehead. It was almost comical, like the sigh of someone who had lived for thousands of years. She must have been stressed because she grabbed a bottle of grape Fanta and drank it in one go before continuing.
“So, take care of your lower parts. I don’t want to become a grandmother.”
“I’m sorry, but my lower parts and I are separate beings. I’ll try to be more careful, but…”
My mother was glaring at me with a look of disdain. Oh, so this is what it looks like when someone curses you with their eyes.
“And… ha… I’m sorry. That you’ve had a hard time because of me.”
Honestly, I hadn’t really been troubled by my mother. There were times when I occasionally wondered what kind of person she was, but it never truly bothered me. Thanks to her, I had even become immune to insults, so I felt grateful in some way.
“I couldn’t hug you, I couldn’t spend time with you… Honestly, I called you here because I wanted to say that.”
“… It’s alright. It’s fine now. It doesn’t matter anymore.”
“There will be many hardships in the future. Since you’re my son and my weakness… There will be many people targeting you.”
To target the son of a god, are these the types of people like Pontius Pilate?
“You know, right? The ones called the Black Round Table.”
Why the hell are those bastards targeting me?
“Their leader and one of his closest allies have set their sights on killing me. The scum working under them are just pawns to fight my apostles.”
I was a bit surprised. I thought those guys were just idiots causing trouble without any serious purpose. But their goal was to kill a god?
“So, they’ll target you. Your bones, blood, and organs, each one could become a weapon that could kill me.”
I felt like I was being treated like a monster hunter’s boss monster. The thought of those bastards attacking me after seeing my body sent a chill down my spine. While I was thinking about how to deal with them when they came after me, my mother started rummaging through a drawer and a display case.
“… What are you doing?”
“I’m just gathering a few things for you because watching you just stand there is frustrating.”
My mother handed me several items. A sword with a red hilt, a sword that emitted a cold aura, black gloves, a ring with a blue gemstone, and a pair of red earrings.
“What are these?”
“One is for you, and the others should be shared with the people around you. Some of them have side effects, but I’ve removed those, so you don’t need to worry too much.”
They clearly looked like rare items, and she was giving them to me?
“Why are you giving me these?”
“… It’s just a gift, so shut up and take them.”
“My mother always told me not to accept gifts from adults I don’t know…”
“Stop talking nonsense. And your mother is me, you idiot.”
Oh, that’s right.
“Finally, there’s something I want to ask. Is it okay if I ask?”
“If you ask a stupid question, I’ll stab you, so keep that in mind.”
“If I’m your weakness, then you should just kill me. Why did you abandon me?”

In the silent room where only the sounds of the game could be heard, the butler spoke as he handed the goddess another bottle of Fanta.
“In the end, you didn’t give an answer and just chased him away.”
The goddess threw the game console aside and answered.
“Shut up.”
“How can you be so dishonest…”
“I told you to shut up. And I didn’t give birth to him, I made him with my hands. Who cares about children…”
The goddess muttered in an annoyed voice, but the butler, seeing through her mood, started smiling as he cleaned up the trash. The scattered snack bags and drink cans went into the trash bag, but the butler still maintained his smile.
“Isn’t it because you see him as your child that you packed up even the things you cherish?”
“No, it’s not. Those were things I was planning to throw away.”
“Of course, yes, there must be something.”
Before leaving the room, the butler became serious for a moment and asked a question.
“By the way, are you just going to leave the Black Round Table like this? There are particularly dangerous people among them…”
“So what do you want me to do? Send all of them there and start a war?”
“Excuse me, but that seems like the most appropriate course of action.”
“It’s fine, that idiot who just left will take care of it.”
The goddess pulled a new game CD from a shelf. She put the CD into the game console and chuckled.
“Who made it, those bastards are nothing.”
“And… wouldn’t it have been better to explain how the young master became your weakness?”
The Butler paused for a moment before continuing.
“A god’s weakness is the thing they cherish the most…”(wow that is really sweet)
The goddess silently continued playing the game, not denying anything.
