CHAPTER 215

A sudden pang of unease struck Li De. He whipped his head towards the horizon, where a terrified figure was rapidly approaching.

"Boss! Boss, bad news!" It was Wahi, his voice choked with fear.

Li De's brow furrowed.

"Al Da and Al Er... are dead!" Wahi blurted out, his words heavy with grief.

Li De's face contorted in rage.

Unlike the other Spirit Realm experts in the Divine Dao Alliance, who were bound to him only by shared interests, Al Da and Al Er were his loyal servants.

They were his trusted aides.

Li De hadn't anticipated such an outcome. The mission had seemed foolproof, yet Al Da and Al Er were dead.

His anger was immeasurable, a seething cauldron threatening to boil over.

A murderous intent surged through him, uncontrollable.

"Al Da and Al Er are dead!" he roared, his voice echoing through the ruins. "Why aren't you dead, you worthless trash?!"

Wahi's face drained of color. In the next instant, a flash of light blinded him.

Bang.

His head exploded like an overripe melon.

Li De had personally executed the deserter.

His fury silenced everyone present.

He turned his gaze towards Roda and the others, still holed up in the ancestral hall.

His outstretched hand pointed accusingly at Roda.

"The Jing God's Inheritance," he demanded, his voice cold and emotionless, cutting through the air like a winter wind. "Hand it over!"

Roda's eyes narrowed, but Li De continued, his threats chilling. "Otherwise, I will make sure you and your sister experience the most agonizing torture imaginable!"

Roda scoffed, his disdain palpable. "Empty threats won't sway me, Li De."

Li De slowly lowered his hand, his expression still impassive.

"Very well," he acknowledged, a sinister glint in his eyes.

He turned away from Roda, addressing the other Spirit Realm experts of the Divine Dao Alliance.

"Keep watch over them. I'll be back shortly."

"If you fail in this simple task..."

Li De left the threat hanging in the air, but the unspoken consequences were clear. His overwhelming power and the chilling tone of his voice conveyed a message that no one dared to ignore. Li De was on the brink, and provoking him further would be a fatal mistake.

With that, he soared into the sky, heading towards Lu Ming's location.

The Divine Dao Alliance's presence in the Imperial City District was sparse.

Furthermore, the battle between Al Da and Lu Ming had been a spectacle, leaving a lingering aura of fear in its wake. No one dared to impede Lu Ming's progress.

Roxin, by his side, guided him towards their destination.

Their goal was clear: the ancestral hall of the palace.

But after walking for less than five minutes, Lu Ming abruptly stopped.

An immense wave of spiritual pressure crashed down on Lu Ming, suffocating him from all sides. He had never encountered such intensity, even in the Explosive State. His body felt heavy, his attributes weakened by at least 20%.

Lu Ming looked up, his brow furrowed in concentration.

A blinding flash of light erupted above him.

"Die!"

The Yang Spirit Finger, Li De's signature move, descended upon him.

Li De had cultivated this Origin Realm Origin Power Skill to the Proficient level. Combined with his strength at the eighth level of the Spirit Realm, he could effortlessly dispatch weaker opponents with a mere flick of his finger.

Even when facing experts at his own level or even the ninth level of the Spirit Realm, Li De held his ground with the devastating power of the Yang Spirit Finger.

In the vast landscape of the Spirit Realm, Li De knew he wasn't invincible, but he was undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with.

At least in the periphery of the Hundred Thousand Mountains, he feared no one.

He was confident.

He was proud.

As the radiant light of the Yang Spirit Finger struck Lu Ming's head, Li De confidently halted his advance, a sigh of satisfaction escaping his lips.

"Al Da, Al Er, I have avenged you."

ROAR!

Before Li De could bask in his triumph, an earth-shattering roar erupted from below.

Li De's triumphant moment was cut short as a monstrous roar erupted from below. He snapped his head down to where Lu Ming stood, his heart sinking.

The giant, who should have been felled by his attack, stared back at him, defiant.

A third of his skull was shattered, a gaping wound revealing the delicate brain tissue within. But that fragile tissue flickered with a faint blue light, remaining miraculously intact.

And then, the impossible happened.

The giant grew even larger.

As his body swelled, the wound on his head twisted and warped, the shattered bone knitting itself back together at an alarming rate.

Within moments, the injury inflicted by the Yang Spirit Finger was gone.

In its place stood a larger, more muscular, and even more ferocious giant.

"That hurt..." Lu Ming growled, his voice a rumbling echo.

"That really hurt!!"

He had never suffered such a devastating injury before.

The attack had been so swift, Lu Ming hadn't even had time to react.

When the light struck his head, his first layer of defense, the Origin Power Armor, had been instantly shredded. The remaining force had then shattered his Bone Armor, then the Origin Power Armor on his skull, and finally, his skull itself.

It wasn't until the attack reached the Origin Power Armor protecting his brain that its power was finally exhausted.

In that split second, Lu Ming had instinctively activated his Desperate State.

If not for the boost in strength that came with the transformation, that attack would have likely crippled him.

Even with the Desperate State's boost, Lu Ming felt a dull ache where the attack had struck.

His three heads snapped up, locking onto the distant figure hovering in the sky.

"You... deserve to die!" Lu Ming's voice rumbled, filled with a cold fury.

If Lu Ming had been calm and collected before, the pain and the near-death experience had ignited a primal rage within him.

His adrenaline surged, fueling a reckless abandon.

Six arms tensed, and he unleashed a barrage of punches. Countless fist force dragons materialized, their roars filling the air.

"Get down here!!"

The dragon-like forces shot towards Li De like a torrential downpour. Simultaneously, Lu Ming activated the Weapon Transformation Technique, his arms morphing into a multitude of weapons. A long sword materialized, unleashing a flurry of Atomic Sword Techniques.

The sky and earth were filled with the blinding dance of sword light, leaving Li De with no escape.

But he didn't need to escape.

Gazing at the onslaught of attacks, Li De's expression hardened, and a sigh escaped his lips.

"Al Da and Al Er didn't die because of carelessness," he realized.

"This man truly possesses the strength to kill them."

It was clear that Lu Ming's power far surpassed that of a Level 5 Spirit Realm expert.

Even if Al Da and Al Er had fought together, they would have been no match for Lu Ming.

But...

He, Li De, was no pushover either.

In the blink of an eye, Li De was engulfed by the relentless onslaught of attacks.

A series of explosions rocked the sky, the shockwaves rippling through the air.

Below, Lu Ming's frown deepened.

As the dust settled, Li De emerged unscathed, his body bathed in a protective white light. Not even a single hair on his head was out of place.
