Chapter 15: Large-Scale Quest

Facing an unprecedented massive invasion of demons, the elite adventurers gathered at the Rudiloum Kingdom, the headquarters of the guild. Haruto, Lilith, Alice, Luca, and Sarome were among them.

Haruto and his party encounter Rudolf, known as one of the “Three Strongest Adventurers” and titled Heavenly Spear.

Soon, a horde of demons appears, and Haruto ends up fighting alongside Rudolf in the same team. While Haruto and his allies defeat the demons one after another, a powerful magical beast, the Flame Phoenix, emerges at the end.

Rudolf, who finds supreme joy in battling demons, attempts to fight it alone. When Haruto offers to cooperate, Rudolf shows hostility and even attacks him. Feeling the emptiness of fighting a fellow adventurer, Haruto completely shuts down Rudolf’s attacks using his defensive skill and defeats the magical beast together with his allies.

Chapter 16: A Shaking Future

The elite adventurers managed to halt the large-scale invasion of demons across various regions. However, this was only the first wave. Haruto and his party are informed that the second wave is approaching in three days.

They decide to rest and recover their strength, spending a peaceful moment with Lilith and the others.

Then, Jack, Vanessa, and Sephiria arrive, leading to a meeting of the four Skill Holders. Sephiria reveals that Jack is under a curse from the Domination skill and uses her own skill to heal him.

Later, Jack encounters Rudolf. Seeing through his power, Rudolf challenges him to a fight. During the intense battle, Jack’s power and will begin to spiral out of control, influenced by the curse of Domination left by Levin, whom he had fought before. Awakening even greater power, Jack overwhelms and kills Rudolf.

On the day of the decisive battle, Jack, now a slave to his destructive instincts, heads to Haruto. There, he notices that Lilith and Alice are carrying a staff infused with demonic energy, causing his rampage to accelerate further. Consumed by the impulse to destroy all demons, Jack transforms into a monstrous beast knight and attacks Haruto and his allies──.
