Chapter 4
Chapter 4
The voice rang out again.
Its owner was an old man wearing a purple robe, holding a long staff.
A short staircase led up to the throne, where a man wearing a crown and a beard sat.
“I heard there were four summoned heroes, but there are five of you. Well, more isn’t a problem.”
Five— I stood up and looked around again.
There were four others besides me, all dressed in modern clothes that didn’t quite match this place.
“You there, state your name.”
The king pointed at the first man with his scepter.
“Where are we…?”
The man looked flustered, but I felt the same way.
“I told you to state your name.”
The king glared at the man.
“It’s Akira Sato… I found myself here. I’d like an explanation of the situation.”
It’s pretty impressive that he could say that here. He’s also good-looking.
“That can wait. Next, you.”
The scepter then pointed to a flashy-looking blonde man.
“Hah, Yamamoto Kanji here.”
It might be rude to say this, but unlike Sato, I didn’t feel any intelligence from him at all.
He was messing with his smartphone and muttered.
“There’s no signal here.”
“Next.”
The scepter pointed at a woman whose blouse was wide open at the chest.
She jingled brightly-colored bracelets as she too looked at her smartphone.
“Seriously, there’s no signal.”
“State your name!”
