Imperium of Man Terra Aeterna Season 01: Rise of Humanity's War Machin

Chapter 35: Chapter 035 - Alicia

Claire kept burning Isaacs with the flamethrower while Reuel and Alice stood guard, ready for anything.

It took nearly half an hour before the system's voice echoed again in Reuel's head.

"Ding. Host may now enter. Would you like to proceed?"

Reuel took a deep breath. He knew—Dr. Isaacs was dead. The big boss of Umbrella had fallen, and with him, the evil corporate empire crumbled. All that remained were scraps… small fish that would soon be cleaned up.

"System. Proceed now."

"Ding! Congratulations, Host. You have gained early access to high-level warp capabilities—a partial inheritance from the Emperor of Mankind."

Reuel frowned, half-confused, half-cautious.

"Warp?" he muttered quietly.

"Don't tell me I have to enter that cursed place… Chaos, Immaterium, and all its madness?"

But no response came—only silence, as the system always did.

Reuel opened the description of the new ability:

---

Warp Manipulation – Access Level: Initiate

Initial Phase: Teleportation range up to 500 meters.

Stabilization: Up to 20 kilometers.

Energy Expansion: Up to 200 kilometers.

Dimensional Control: Up to 3,000 kilometers.

Reality Domination (God Tier):

Instantly teleport to any location previously seen or visited.

Open micro-portals to the Warp for spatial traversal.

Tear open the fabric of reality into the Immaterium—brutally and at extreme risk.

Note: The Immaterium is not neutral ground. It is a sea of raw will and emotion—the home of the Chaos Gods. To enter it, you must subjugate reality with sheer force of will, as only one human has ever done: The Emperor of Mankind.

---

Reuel sighed quietly.

"Shit… this isn't just any system."

His eyes stared blankly into the air, but inside, a storm had begun to stir. Not just power—but memory. A long-burning fire reignited.

"How do I enhance this ability?"

"Progress depends on two main pillars: your physical strength and psionic resonance. The stronger your body and mind, the greater control you wield over warp space."

"System… activate warp fusion."

"Command received."

Reuel's body shook violently. A wave of heat burst from his chest, pulsing to every nerve ending. He closed his eyes, and in an instant, extraordinary visions appeared—corridors, ruins, battlefields, and buildings marked with horrific red symbols. Each one glowing like a waypoint… ready to be stepped on.

Reuel opened a small tear in reality—and his body instantly shifted.

In a blink, he stood atop the ruined roof of a building in the midst of Raccoon City's wreckage. The massive red umbrella symbol still faintly visible among the rubble.

Three kilometers in one jump.

"Not bad…" he said with a grin.

"This'll make things a lot easier. But…"

His gaze lifted to the reddening sky.

"To enter the Immaterium… I'm not ready. Not yet."

---

Ding! Host has completed a hidden mission: Saving 3.6 billion people in the Resident Evil world.

The reward can be claimed once the Host uses the World Compression Card within the Resident Evil universe.

Reuel frowned.

"Hey, System. What the hell does that mean? Why can't I claim the mission completion reward yet?"

"Because the Host has not yet decided where to establish the civilization of the new dimension. The system cannot provide further information until that decision is made."

"Bullshit. System, tell me now."

"No."

Reuel could only sigh in frustration. Arguing with the system always ended the same way: with him losing. He gave up and turned back toward Claire.

The woman was still holding the trigger on the flamethrower, her face cold and focused, burning Isaacs down until he was almost nothing but charred bone.

Reuel walked closer and gently tapped Claire's shoulder.

"Okay, Claire… he's dead. You've almost reduced him to ashes."

"Didn't you say earlier you were afraid he might not die?" Claire rolled her eyes, then stopped the stream of fire blasting Isaacs's scorched body.

At that moment, Alicia arrived, seated in her wheelchair.

Alice immediately approached and began pushing her with care. She stared at Alicia's aged, fragile face, then asked softly:

"Am I… really just your clone?"

Alicia looked at her, calm.

"You've suspected it, haven't you? Yes, you are my clone. When I learned of Isaacs's plan to destroy the world, I created you to stop him. You were my last hope."

Then, with a bitter tone, she continued,

"Unfortunately, that plan failed. During the Hive Operation, you escaped. The Red Queen came along and was stolen by accident. The data I gave her went to waste. If only you had been captured back then, the Red Queen would've helped you—quietly."

While Alice and Alicia spoke, Reuel walked over to the main computer belonging to Lightning Queen and connected it to the Red Queen's system.

Within seconds, Red Queen took over, instantly disabling Lightning Queen. Her virtual projection appeared in the main chamber.

"Big brother, I've taken control of the Hive base. Let's go," said the Red Queen confidently.

She looked at Reuel with a smug expression, clearly expecting praise.

"Red Queen, meet your sisters first," Reuel replied, gesturing toward Alice and Alicia with a mischievous grin.

Reuel was reminded of that scene in the Resident Evil movie—where the old version, adult version, and child version appeared together. Now, it was happening in front of his eyes.

Alicia gazed at Red Queen and smiled warmly. She pulled a disk from her lab coat pocket and inserted it into the computer. The main screen displayed a little girl playing joyfully.

It was a childhood memory of Alicia, stored in holographic form. The girl's face… was identical to Red Queen's.

Alice stared at the screen with a mix of emotions. She realized she had no memories of childhood—so all she could do was silently watch.

"That's a memory my father left behind. And it's your memory, too. Red Queen, please implant this memory into Alice," Alicia asked softly.

"Understood," Red Queen replied. She looked at Reuel, and when he nodded, the memory implantation process began.

Suddenly—

"NO—AAAGHH—RRRHHH!"

A piercing, zombie-like shriek rang out. Reuel whipped around and saw Abigail transforming into a monstrous creature. She lunged at him—but—

Bang!

The gunshot shattered the silence. Abigail collapsed instantly, a bullet buried in her skull.

Claire stood tall, her pistol still smoking. She looked at Reuel and gave a satisfied smile.

"How the hell did Abby turn into a zombie?" she asked.

"I think she got scratched by one of the creatures in the lab… but she never said anything," Reuel replied quietly.

On the other side of the room, the memory implantation process had finished. Alice slowly opened her eyes—her gaze now different, filled with awareness.

"Alice," Alicia said, "from now on, you are the only Alice in this world."

"What do you mean?" Alice asked, still confused.

Alicia looked at her and gave a sad smile.

"My progeria is irreversible. Isaacs is dead. Now… I'll be joining my father. I miss him. All this time, all I ever wanted was to kill Isaacs… and return to my father's embrace. He must be waiting for me there. He loved me… loved me so much…"

Alicia began to cry.

Reuel stayed silent. He knew Marcus had truly loved his daughter. Marcus hadn't been wrong for creating Alicia… only for trusting someone like Isaacs.

Claire couldn't hold back her emotions either. Reuel calmly pulled her into a hug, watching the farewell in silence.

"Alice," Alicia said again, her tone serious, "I want you to promise me one thing. Preserve the Umbrella Corporation. Erase all traces of the bioweapon virus, kill those still sleeping in the hibernation capsules. But don't destroy its name… that name is the only memory of my father that still remains."

Alice nodded quickly, her eyes glassy with tears.

"I promise. I swear to you."

She wasn't just saying it because she was asked to. In her new memories, she knew—the company had once been Marcus's beautiful dream for his daughter, which had been stolen by Isaacs's madness.

"Thank you, Alice," Alicia whispered.

Reuel gave only a brief glance. To him, that name was just a symbol. If needed, he could create a new symbol for Alice. After all, Alice was one of his women now.

"Red Queen," Reuel ordered, "kill everyone still in the inactive compartments. Then contact Chris's special forces unit—clean out the entire Hive."

"Yes, Brother," Red Queen replied obediently.

"Brother, the heavy vehicle team of the Isaacs clones has been destroyed. But the clone is still trapped inside a vehicle, surrounded by zombies. A few survivors from the Umbrella Building tried to seize the armored car… but I already eliminated them."

Red Queen's report came in calm but icy.

Reuel grinned.

"Oh, he's still alive, huh? Send the Chimera APC to crush the vehicle's body. Let the zombies have their fun with him. As for the survivors… let them die."

There was no mercy in his voice.

"Understood, Brother," Red Queen replied flatly.

After the conversation ended, Reuel walked over to Alice and the others.

"Hello, Miss Alicia," he greeted.

Alicia turned to him with a raised eyebrow.

"Your name's Reuel, and I'm only twenty-five. Don't call me 'Miss'."

"Sorry, Lady Alicia."

Reuel gave a stiff smile, then muttered silently to himself,

Looking at your face, it's hard to believe you're only twenty-five.

"Reuel, Alice has told me everything. Thank you for all your help," Alicia said sincerely.

"I was just trying to survive," Reuel replied curtly.

"Even so, I'm grateful… that I got to see Isaacs die before I go," Alicia continued, bowing in her wheelchair in respect.

"Alice, let's distribute the cure to the zombies," Alicia said quietly but firmly.

"All right. Let's do it together," Alice replied.

Alice began pushing Alicia's wheelchair, followed by Reuel and Claire. With Red Queen's help, they made their way back to the surface.

Once above ground, Alice looked at the vial of the cure in her hand. Without hesitation, she smashed it against a hard rock. The liquid splashed and quickly evaporated. A few nearby zombies suddenly staggered and collapsed, a sign that the cure was working. But there were too few to fully gauge the effect.

Moments later, the sound of rotor blades filled the sky. Dozens of helicopters maneuvered overhead. From each aircraft, special forces troops rappelled down and moved swiftly, securing the area. They avoided Reuel entirely—a sign of disciplined military training.

A man in full uniform approached Alice and saluted.

"Ma'am, Special Forces Commander Chris reporting."

"Chris, send your team to clean out the Hive. Don't destroy it. Red Queen will assist you. Let the aircraft take off. I want to return to Salt Lake City," Alice ordered.

Reuel watched silently. Chris's sister-in-law had once ranted about him, especially after discovering that Reuel was involved with three women, including Claire. Accusations of cheating had been thrown around.

Unlike Chris, Luther and Leon approached Reuel and saluted him, their expressions filled with genuine respect.

"Yes, Ma'am." Chris gave a brief hand signal to Leon and Luther, then turned and walked over to Claire.

Meanwhile, Luther and Leon led the troops into the Hive, their figures disappearing behind the ruins—carrying with them the last fragments of humanity's hope.
