Chapter 205: Douluo Travel V

After a full month of dedicated cultivation using both the Dragon Soul Ascension Art and the Celestial Mind Lotus Scripture, Michael had tempered both body and mind. His foundation was now solid, and his cultivation had stabilized to the point where he could safely absorb a 3,000-year-old spirit ring without risk.

As the month came to an end, he walked down the corridor of the Pope Hall. The atmosphere was quiet, but the moment he entered, Bibi Dong—already seated with one hand lazily resting on her scepter—glanced at him and spoke sharply:

"You're wasting time. Have you even thought of getting a spirit ring yet? Look at the other girl. Xue has already gone out, obtained a 400-year-old ring, and broken through to Level 13."

Michael said nothing at first, but then he stepped forward and knelt slightly.

"Master, I am ready," he said calmly. "I know exactly what type of spirit ring will best suit me."

Bibi Dong raised an eyebrow but gave a small nod.

"At least you're not completely wasting your potential. Good, I'll take you to the Forest of Spirit Beasts myself."

She stood up and turned. As she led him out of the Pope Hall, her footsteps echoed with authority. Luochen followed closely behind, quiet but confident.

Soon, they were in a carriage heading toward the Star Dou Forest, to hunt for Michael's first spirit ring.

While inside, Michael glanced at Bibi Dong. She looked graceful yet dangerous, and despite himself, he couldn't help but admire her beauty. Shaking the thought from his mind, he took out a scroll—containing three of the Earth-Rank cultivation techniques he had received from the gacha system.

"Master, I created these," he said calmly, handing the scroll over to her.

Bibi Dong raised an eyebrow as she took it. She opened the scroll, her eyes scanning over the contents. The techniques were refined and complex—something not easily made by just anyone, let alone a child.

"Luochen… did you really create these?" she asked, clearly skeptical.

Michael nodded.

"Yes. I composed them myself, Master."

"You're just a beginner spirit master… how did you even come up with these?" she asked, her voice a mix of disbelief and interest. "Even titled Douluo can't have such good self created skills."

Michael gave a slight smile.

"It's my martial spirit… it aids me with knowledge. The more I cultivate and read, the more it evolves. One day, while deep in meditation, I entered a strange mental state… and in that clarity, these three techniques were formed."

He wasn't lying entirely—but neither was he telling the full truth. His system's help was something she didn't need to know.

Bibi Dong watched him quietly for a long moment, then slowly nodded.

"You… might be worth more than I initially thought."

"What else did it give you?" Bibi Dong asked, her eyes scanning the parchment again. She spoke calmly, but there was a subtle intensity in her gaze. Despite her usual pride, even she couldn't deny that these so-called "self-created" techniques were anything but ordinary.

Michael leaned back slightly and responded,

"There are three techniques, each for a different aspect of cultivation."

He pointed as he listed them:

"The first is Soaring Cloud Steps—an agility technique focused on evasive footwork and burst acceleration. It lets me flow with the wind, almost like gliding."

"The second is Verdant Iron Body Art, a defensive technique that tempers my physical form through layered qi compression. It makes my body strong like ironwood while still maintaining flexibility."

"And the last one—Soulroot Qi Method—is a foundational meditation and internal cultivation method. It focuses on refining and anchoring my soul power with atmospheric qi, stabilizing both mind and essence."

Bibi Dong remained silent as she reviewed the scroll. After a moment, she softly muttered,

"All of these… are great."

For a brief second, even she looked genuinely impressed.

"Are you practicing all of these?" Bibi Dong asked, her voice laced with curiosity as she studied him closely.

Michael nodded confidently.

"Yes. Look at my body, Master. Test and tell me how much potential you think I hold."

He raised his arm slightly, letting her sense the density and quality of his qi and physical cultivation. Bibi Dong's eyes widened slightly as her spiritual perception swept over him.

"Hmm… your body's foundation is solid—like someone who already has three spirit rings. That means…" she paused, her eyes locking with his, "you can safely absorb a 1000-year-old spirit ring as your first one."

Her words weren't just praise—they were shockingly rare approval from someone of her caliber.

Suddenly, and rather unexpectedly, she reached out and lightly touched his chest, as if to confirm her senses. Then, before he could react further, she gently pulled him into her arms.

"You really are something, Luo Shen," she whispered, using his this world name.

Michael froze.

'Didn't she hate men? How is she hugging me so casually?' he wondered, confused.

In the books, she was never like this—not with any man besides Yu Xiaogang. But now… she's holding me like—like she trusts me. Like I mean something.

He didn't move. For that moment, he just let her hold him, the warmth of her embrace strangely comforting, unknown to him, Bibi Dong likes her disciples as her own child and the Evil god influence also increase her this desire of hers leading to this situation.

After a moment, Bibi Dong released him from the embrace. A small, warm smile played on her lips as she reached into her sleeve and pulled out a ring.

"Here," she said, holding it out. "This is a soul guide—storage type. One of the better ones."

Michael looked at the ring curiously. It was elegant and subtly glowing, clearly a high-quality item.

"I meant to give it to you earlier," Bibi Dong continued, her tone shifting slightly with a hint of regret, "but I was angry. You weren't taking your path as a Soul Master seriously… or so I thought. You just kept reading in library—like a Scholarly boy. But then you went and created those powerful self-cultivation techniques..." She sighed softly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "You proved me wrong."

Michael accepted the ring with a respectful nod. Though he didn't necessarily need it—this one have impressive storage—the 100-square-meter capacity. With it he can also disguise his system inventory.

He smiled faintly, and Bibi Dong noticed.

"Don't think too much of it," she muttered quickly, averting her gaze with a faint flush. "Just be useful."
