Chapter 251: An Interruption...?
Yimin's dragon form had changed quite drastically when compared to the last time she unleashed it. She no longer had similar features to a Sand Devourer and instead fully embodied the aesthetic of a western dragon. But, when stacked up against a normal western dragon, she appeared far more magnificent.
Even in the vacuum of space—where even sound could not move—her silvery scales glimmered like the brightest of stars in the night sky. Two halos sat above her head, one a silverish black and the other a crimson white—together, they signified her connection with her Master. Her wings, on the other hand, numbered six, with three on each side of her. Moreover, each wing was splattered with gold, flaky filaments, adding a level of splendor to her appearance that made it possible for telescopes on Earth to see her clear as day.
And most dazzling of all were her eyes. They radiated silver, red, and black, creating a spectacle that had an almost cosmically hypnotic effect. Even the stoic Wolf Deity was left momentarily dazed while looking up at her glorious form.
However, in the next second, he was already readying his Greatsword for another attack, this one even more powerful than the last.
|Wolfsbane — Ultimate Move — Blood-red Moon Slash| (SS- -)
It was a fitting move for a setting such as this one. And when it was propelled forward by an act of incredible physical and magical prowess, a deep ravine immediately carved itself between him and Yimin. The crimson-colored sword arc stretched upward for dozens of miles and possessed a width of more than five miles. Furthermore, its range of destruction extended beyond even that, as everything within a radius of thousands of miles was seared by a raging red flame. The flame flared in every direction, setting a fifth of the Moon ablaze.
Yimin indifferently looked at the incoming attack. No longer as chatty as before, she coldly snorted before opening her mouth. In there, a goldish-red light orb took shape. It rapidly spun around in circles, and as more and more energy was gathered by Yimin, it started to condense and increase in immensity.
Then, with the howling of a loud, soul-shaking screech, the goldish-red sphere within Yimin's mouth shot out in the form of a light beam.
[Tyrant's Obsession — Ultimate Move — Tyrannical Hyperbeam]
The beam crossed hundreds of miles in an instant and collided with the |Blood-red Moon Slash|.
A brief clash of energies battling for dominance occurred. However, the clash ended very quickly as the energies from both attacks melded into one another, subsequently producing a massive flash bang that blinded half the Moon. Those from Earth were even shortly blinded by the sudden flash of light. This was especially the case for the spectators of the original clash—or, well, at least for the ones who managed to make it to the other side of the world in time to continue watching the now intergalactic battle.
Dissonants worldwide looked up in fleeting curiosity. Though, not long after, they returned to their urgent planning for the day that would follow. Many things had to be accounted for, and they could not afford to mess up. Lest the Mothership call for the termination of all of them…
— Following the natural dispersion of the two staggeringly powerful attacks, on the Moon —
Yimin levitated a few miles off the ground. Half her body had been severely burnt, whereas the other half was teetering on the verge of rapid, uncontrollable deterioration. The Wolf Deity's Ultimate Move had nearly crippled her.
On the other hand, Igor himself had but minor superficial wounds. The burns were still quite bad, but nowhere near as dire as the ones Yimin had. He would heal within a few minutes, but she might just never fully heal…
"You actually managed to survive my Ultimate Move?" Igor asked. "Color me surprised. It seems that you're far more special than I originally gave you credit for. After all, if you were to survive all this—" he pointed out how half of the Moon had been decimated. "—then you're definitely strong. Likely one of the Top 3 strongest in this chamber of Isolation. Excluding those invaders, of course."
Yimin wasn't sure what the man was talking about, but with the pain from her wounds working actively to ignite her anger, she landed on the ground. Her draconic expression frosted over as she readied herself for round two, planning to use everything she had left in order to kill the man opposite her. For kidnapping her Master—even if she had to die to accomplish it—she would erase the Rushan off the face of the universe.
However, in that exact moment—the moment when her reckless thoughts pushed her into action—time seemed to slow to a crawl. Neither Yimin nor the cocky Wolf Deity were able to notice the change.
Then, from a slit in space atop the Moon's surface, a man appeared.
The man appeared as if an Immortal God had descended from the heavens above—his beauty unmatched. He wore a shadowy pair of robes that no longer covered his face. Atop his head of raven hair was a blackish-crimson halo that slowly rotated, occasionally spinning off its axis. Tightly clutched in his right hand was a thin, Eastern-style sword that craved for blood. Similarly, latched to his back was a five-foot dark, bloody scythe that yearned to reap another life.
Once he neared the two competitors frozen in time, the mysterious, otherworldly handsome man emotionlessly raised his hand. A shiny purple sphere was summoned—an Epic-rank Evoball. The Evoball was casually flicked forward, and from it emerged what was once the Boss Monster of a recently cleared new Apocalypse Gate. The Gate had been cleared so fast that no one in the world ever even knew it had existed. But one person did.
OOOM!
A stifling pressure appeared as soon as the Evomon left its Evoball. The Evomon in question was a western-style dragon with long turquoise spikes lining its back. Lightning crackled above and around its 1,000-mile-long body as it fully stretched itself out, dwarfing both the Tyrant God and the Wolf Deity. Stay connected through My Virtual Library Empire
