Infinite Harem System: I Grow Stronger From Every Female Lead

Chapter 124: Back To The Normal World (2)

It had been three hours since Arthur had tried to teleport from the sky, and he had discovered something.

Something was wrong with his powers.

It wasn't in the sense of a villain entering your body and controlling you like a parasite.

No. It was the kind where you have jam and bread in your hands but don't know how to spread the jam over the bread properly.

To begin with, he didn't even have enough colour to properly use a Supreme's abilities.

On top of that, he didn't know how to control his ability.

"Maybe it's because I entered Supreme so early," Art whispered, rising from the bed he shared with Eric.

He hadn't told his friends anything about what had happened. He didn't need to.

What he needed was enough strength, because he wasn't going to let the world reset again. He was going to protect them all.

'And to do that I have to understand all this.'

Even before the reset, he had never fully understood colour. That meant he had to pay special attention to it from now on.

But...

He closed his eyes, sitting cross-legged on the hospital room's floor.

It seemed the use of the Infinite Harem System had changed.

Before now, he had never considered why the Infinite Harem System had such rules, but now he was beginning to understand.

Just like the tales in folklores back on Earth.

The powers of gods came from the people devoted to them.

Meaning, the Harem System was always teaching him how to create valuable allies.

And now its job was over, its rules had changed.

The main reason for that change wasn't just his ascension as a god but the fact that his entire body was now a mass of energy.

As of now, the Harem System served as a source to release that energy.

It seemed the saying wasn't entirely accurate.

The gods did gain strength from their followers, but not in the way people thought.

Instead of the people directly giving them energy to fight, the gods already had the energy, the people simply increased their output capacity.

For Arthur, this meant that the more women loved him, the more mana he could output, and the more spells he could cast.

Just like before, his wives, or rather infinite lovers, gave him the highest output, allowing him to generate enough mana for a single Tier 1 spell or Stage 1 technique just by existing.

Even then, it wasn't as if he could use spells or techniques however he wanted.

He opened his eyes and tightened his fists. "I have to learn and fully understand a spell before I can even use it."

It was basically the universe nerfing his potential, but it wasn't as if they didn't reward him.

Right now, he could create spells for anything as long as he understood it.

Resurrection, Regression, Heaven Destruction, anything.

All he needed to do was learn the spell.

And yes, that meant he had to start listening in classes and reading books.

He sighed. 'It seems I might have to head to the higher institution afterall.'

Knock, knock

Arthur turned his head slightly, but before he could answer, Isabella opened the door.

"Isa…"

She smiled, dressed in her usual maid uniform, but seeing her in it now felt a little strange.

"You called, young master."

Arthur stared at her, puzzled. "What are you wearing? I'm sure I didn't erase Gold Diggers when I reset the world."

She nodded, stepping closer to where he sat in a relaxed position. "Yes, but I let Elizabeth, Eira, and my assistant run it."

Arthur studied her. "So how long have you guys been awake?"

Isabella sat on the floor beside him and leaned against his arm. "About a week."

She took in a deep breath. "Also..." she began. "Sylvia became a goddess again, so after staying with you for a few days, she returned to wherever the gods live with Unnie."

Without taking a breath she continued. "Elizabeth and Eira left this morning for the west, where my company's HQ is, and Amelia, Cassie, and Ellie have gone back to their dorms."

"Okay." Arthur glanced at his third wife's long black hair. 'Her hair smells nice.'

As if sensing his gaze, she lifted her face to meet his. "Do you like the new haircut?"

Arthur tilted her chin upward and kissed her.

It started slow but soon deepened.

Just as Isabella was about to fall back so Arthur would be above her, Cale rolled on the floor as if waking up.

Isabella, whose back was almost touching the floor, chuckled. "Let's do this another day."

Arthur cleared his throat. "Yeah, you're right."

He stood, looked at his sleeping friends, then back at her. "Follow me."

Her eyes widened slightly at his more serious tone, but she nodded anyway. "Okay, babe."

Arthur faltered at the word. "Yeah… let's go."

From the beginning, Arthur had someone he wanted to kill, and the main reason he hadn't when he reset the world was because he wasn't sure what might happen if the body she inhabited perished.

...

Arthur made his way to the tallest building in the school, the clock tower.

Why?

Because people in this world had a strange obsession with the highest floors and the lowest possible levels.

He wore a white shirt with only half the buttons fastened, white trousers, and a blue shirt draped loosely over his main shirt.

"So, young master, where exactly are we going?" Isabella asked as she walked behind him through the streets.

Arthur didn't turn. "To kill a witch."

Isabella took a moment to process his words. "She did cause a lot of trouble."

He didn't reply immediately, his gaze darkening as he stared at the tower. "Yeah. We can't afford mistakes again."

With just a step closer to the tower, the two of them vanished.

Even before Arthur began experimenting with his stats, he had told someone to wait here in hiding, and if they saw him, to open the portal.

"Asshole~" a voice yelled excitedly.

Arthur facepalmed. "Seraph, don't you—"

Before he could finish, she leapt onto him, knocking him to the ground. "Seraph missed Master."

He patted her head lightly. "Good girl. Now let me go, it's embarrassing."

She shook her head, her face buried in his chest. "Seraph wants to marry her fucking master too."

Arthur let her stay there a moment longer.

At least it was Isabella seeing this and not Ellie or Nathira.

After some time, she looked up at him. "So, will you marry me?"

Arthur gazed into her eyes with gentle softness, then answered:
