Everyone nodded… the scales of the battles were increasing, so they needed to be able to use more magic alongside their usual fighting style. Those skills were good starting points for them.

After Rain left the tent of the meeting, the others began to work on those skills while also focusing on the paths that increased their intelligence and wisdom. At the same time, with all that magical power overflowing in the environment, things began to improve in the underworld… The air started to feel more clear and invigorating, even the ground seemed more full of life.

By choosing this, Rain showed a desire to maintain a certain level of distance or secrecy in his interactions with his family in order to shield them from the full extent of his responsibilities or the dangers he faced on his missions.

Although this decision reflected Rain's sense of duty and protection towards his sisters, as he sought to spare them from any unnecessary worry or involvement, he still felt troubled… it wasn't the first time that he tried to overprotect everyone, but that was supposed to be getting old considering the scales of the battle.

Speaking of family, Rain forgot to ask Terra and Seara if something had happened during the mission since Esmeralda and Branden's kids joined them. That was something that could be done later.

Without wasting time, Rain checked the knowledge that the doppelgangers had obtained and then began to read other books. That had to be done periodically in order to understand everything. Fortunately, that was easy since the machine gods operated as efficiently as possible, and with logic, Rain couldn't have asked for more.

"Perhaps we should ask Sakaki for help. This is taking too long," Elisabetha said.

"You are just bored and want someone to do this job for you," Rain said while he was passing some pages and seeing some images of experiments from Lok's perspective. "It looks like he obtained the power to see things here from now on for some reason…"

Level 01: Compressed Energy: Grants you the power to compress energy as much as possible and control it to show its properties more efficiently. Higher levels grant you the power to compress more advanced forms of energy.

The experiment showed Loks finally obtaining the results on how to compress thermal energy, so by understanding how it worked, Rain pulled it off… it was a bit weird, though, since Rain was using corrupt energy to do that… to control another source of energy alongside space.

While analyzing the information, Rain decided to test it outside and then summoned and compressed his mana, creating a mana crystal instead of a gem. It was extremely hard but quite small, considering the amount of mana used.

Since the underworld was a bit cold, Rain compressed the cold there and soon created a block of ice… it was much better to just create ice and efficient, but at least he was testing the skill.

"Hmm, this will certainly help with some large-scale and scope attacks," Rain said while nodding to himself. "Well, time to resume my studies."

Rain tested the skill enough to make it level up alongside the path, but despite that, he didn't get a new skill at level five… he could tell that the overseer didn't have the knowledge of that skill, and he was waiting for Rain to absorb it… it was truly annoying how self-serving that guy could be…

Much to Rain's surprise, he only obtained more knowledge on how to make that skill become more efficient, so the skill level up a lot. The machine gods had that kind of habit, apparently… they completely wanted to master one thing before trying anything new. It worked for them, but it didn't work for Rain, who didn't want to become a master compressor.
