Chapter 1432: The next target
Level 15: Spatial Deconstruction - Break down objects or barriers at a molecular level by manipulating their spatial integrity, allowing for rapid disassembly or destruction. Higher levels of this sky grant more efficiency in its use.
Level 20: Spatial Reconstruction - Reassemble disintegrated or destroyed objects by restoring their spatial structure, demonstrating mastery over matter and space. Higher levels of this sky grant more efficiency in its use.
Level 25: Spatial Fusion - Merge disparate objects or entities into a unified whole by altering their spatial properties, combining their characteristics or abilities synergistically. Higher levels of this sky grant more efficiency in its use.
"Spatial this… spatial that… spatial you… spatial me…" Rain said. "Make it stop… I am tired of space, all this information is starting to sound annoying."
Rain decided to take a well-deserved break… he lost the count of how many books he had read alongside his doppelgangers. While Elisabetha wanted to kill as many dragons as possible and learn more about their creators, she gave up on that task and entrusted it to Rain since it was too boring.
At least those skills seemed interesting… by deconstructing and fishing two objects at the same time, he could make some pretty interesting things. By fusing a sword and a bow that he got from the prison of the machine gods, Rain was able to create a bow that fired magic swords… it was pretty cool, if anything.
"... What about organic matter?" Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Maybe I shouldn't even consider something that dangerous…"
In any case, Rain decided to head outside to get some fresh air… even though his body was always outside, only his mind wasn't. He hasn't had much time to relax since Seara came to see him.
"Are you free?" Seara asked while showing her javelin. "Sakaki wants to talk with you. We are making some progress now with the space manipulator path, so we are wondering what we should do for the next mission."
"I guess we can't keep delaying that," Rain said. "I think it would be the best to ambush the machine gods, but I am not sure if they will fall for that."
"Before that, we need to find them and try to isolate them from the others," Sakaki said. "Still, how can we even begin to find them?"
"Hmmm, I have some idea where Arel might be… but she is a target that we can't face if my guess is right," Rain said while rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
"Didn't you find that information yet in the Loks database?" Sakaki asked.
"Not yet, I am focusing on obtaining his skills, so this is taking a bit longer," Rain said. "We will definitely need his powers to face the other machine gods, after all."

Speaking of powers, Rain checked his progress and nodded to himself in satisfaction… he was almost at level nine hundred. He was probably the first human who reached such a high level… then he suddenly recalled the dragon god and wondered at which level that fucker was. He had a few thousand years ahead of him to grind, so perhaps he was around level five thousand.
Only the overseer could confirm or deny that…
"So, are we going to keep waiting until you obtain the information about the machine gods and their location?" Seara asked. "How long will that take?"
"It is hard to say. Loks memories and knowledge are thick in some parts and thin in others," Rain shrugged. "I am able to read around one hundred words per second now and even more with the help of the doppelgangers… so perhaps a few months?"
"It would be nice if we had that much time to prepare…" Seara said and then sighed.
If possible, Rain wanted to avoid any fights for the last half a year… Sealyn's child should have been born in two months, so the group couldn't afford to worry about anything else. Rain knew that he was being a bit unreasonable since she wasn't the only one who was pregnant, but even so, he could only worry that much about his family.
"Tell everyone to keep working hard on the space manipulator path… if things get dicey in the meantime, I have another idea to deal with problems when they arrive," Rain declared. "That will prevent the group from suffering any more losses until we are all completely ready."
"Why do your words sound reassuring and worrying at the same time?" Seara furrowed her eyebrows.
"That is a mystery…" Rain said while looking away and forcing a smile.
Seara kept looking at Rain with suspicious eyes, but soon she gave up. She knew when Rain would give up soon or when he wouldn't give up at all… while she was worried about his words, she was also aware that he wouldn't do anything that would make the same things happen as they did in the past… like when he went missing for almost being killed in action for one hundred years.
He knew that there was a chance that the whole situation afterward would repeat itself, so he couldn't let himself die or disappear like before.
"Now I am motivated to resume the research," Rain said. "It is time to keep up before the machine gods can find us."
Rain soon resumed his research, and while he was doing that… he wondered whom he should target next… he had to choose by elimination.
