Chapter 126: The Banquet (III)

All eyes widened, including Royce's.

"When I was little, I used to run into their room when I had a nightmare. One night, I had a nightmare and ran to my mom like always..."

"When I reached the door and opened it slightly, I saw him... He... I saw him strangle her. She was struggling to move, but he kept pressing his arms on her neck. I was too young to figure out what that could lead to since I was only four, but I felt bad."

"The next day, we were told that my mother died of an illness, and soon, I came to believe that he had actually strangled her to death."

Emily paused and turned to Jayden.

"I finally realized that he had killed her because she threatened to tell the truth about what happened to your father. That's why I had to speak up in the last case. He stopped being my father the day he killed my mother, but I didn't want to confront him because..."

"Because I knew it would take him nothing to kill me as well," she said, glaring at Gregory.

Gregory had his face down, visibly ashamed, as he couldn't even raise his head for a second.

Emily turned to Jayden again.

"You can do whatever you want to my father, but please..." She looked at Royce. "Spare my brother's life."

Jayden shook his head as he turned toward Royce with a burning face.

"Please. That's my only wish of you. You can punish him, but don't end his life. Please," Emily begged.

She began shedding tears, which left Luka with no choice but to approach her and lead her away.

At one point, it seemed like The Dominus wasn't granting her wish, and in another...

"Well, for your sake, Miss Emily, I am not going to kill the man who always wanted me dead."

He decided to say it that way to leave a cold feeling in her heart.

Anyway, it wasn't as if he planned to kill Royce in the first place.

"Lady Byta, please step forward," Jayden called out.

Charlotte quickly stepped out with a small laptop in her arms.

"Is it done?" he asked.

"Yes, my love," she responded.

Jayden nodded and turned back to Gregory.

"Due to the countless illegal and evil crimes committed by Gregory Kingsley, as the President of Nortasia, I have decided to strip him of his company and finances."

"No! No no no! Please don't! Please!" Gregory suddenly fell to his belly and began to plead.

"He will no longer be the owner of Kingsley Group or the leader of The Kingsley Family. He won't be appointed as Vice President, no chance. And most importantly, he will be arrested and sentenced to death," Jayden added.

Gasps rose again, as everyone was awed. It was something to be expected, but the tone on which it went made them terrified. The sentence of the President hit hard.

Soon, some armed officers stepped into the hall and led Gregory away, with both Royce and Emily watching without giving a significant reaction.

Royce suddenly had a change of mood at that point, hearing that Gregory was the one who had killed their mother.

He never knew this, for sure. If he had known... well, perhaps he wouldn't have been the daddy's boy that he was.

...

As Gregory was led away, Jayden now faced the people.

His eyes landed on Kurtis, Silas, Heston, and many he could recognize.

Even those who had talked badly about him when he arrived at the banquet.

Now that they knew he was Jayden Cole, they were all calm, rendering respectful looks to him.

He ordered all the ladies to come forward and then began his speech.

"I have always been The Dominus. Yes, I was the unknown man who made billions in VIREX Coin. Who would have thought?" Jayden laughed softly.

"Almost all of you here doubted me. Saw me as a nobody. There was one who saw me as a liability to his father because his daughter wanted me, so he disowned his own daughter for the sake of securing some bloody alliance with that tyrant of a king."

Heston felt hit, as he lowered his head in shame.

"There was one who thought I wouldn't have my revenge because I wasn't joining him. Guess I proved him wrong," he said, turning to Silas this time, right in the face.

"I was heavily doubted and looked down on. I suffered more than an adult would at my young age, but here I am... on top. Who would have thought I would rule over you all one day?" Jayden chuckled softly before giving a head shake.

And then he turned to the ladies.

"These women right here. They have been my pillar. My strength. My workforce. The only figures I can trust with my life in the entire world," he said.

"But guess what, they might be people you know," he added with a smile and signaled them.

And at that point...

The whole group of ladies unveiled their masks.

Starting from Lady Trigger, unveiling as Harper.

Lady Echo as Paula, Lady Clave as Becky, the well-known celebrity singer and Grammy Award Winner.

Then Lady Trix as Temi.

Lady Byta as Charlotte Nikes of Zintech Automobile.

And finally, the most astonishing part...

Lady Frostline, unveiling as Camilia Frost, daughter of Heston Frost, who was also present at the banquet.

Heston had his mouth agape the moment he noticed her, and literally, her eyes landed on him the very moment she removed the mask.

But he was confused. Her voice hadn't sounded like her voice before.

Her hairstyle was completely different, none that he could recognize.

He remained speechless for a while, not daring to approach her after disowning her. She could punch him in the face without remembering that he was her father.

Then Jayden spoke.

"Mister Heston. You were saying I was not capable of marrying your daughter. That I was the son of a fraud and too poor for the Frost Family's standards," Jayden began. "How about now, huh?"

Heston's eyes rolled uncontrollably for a moment, as he couldn't find words and did nothing other than stammer.

"Uhh... Uhh..."

"You preferred wealth more than your only daughter. That's a shame," Jayden cut in.

Heston couldn't defend himself, as he nodded and lowered his head.

"I was going to make you pay for the damage you caused her. But what good would that be? It's her job to decide what to do to you," Jayden said, looking at Camilia and nodding to her.

Camilia didn't move as she remained dark-faced, and it was then that Heston approached her and went on his knees right in front of everyone.

"Please, daughter. Forgive me."
