Chapter 139: First Significant Project
The day for his first meeting with the Alliance finally came, and Jayden was getting prepared to go when the ladies walked in.
"Ready to go?" Camilia asked with a smile.
"Uhmm, yes. You are coming with me," Jayden stated.
Camilia's eyes glinted excitedly as she rushed towards her room.
"Let me go prepare then," she voiced as she danced in.
The other ladies watched her catwalk away and turned back to Jayden.
"You know, she's the Diplomatic Chief. I have to take her with me," he said without anyone asking.
"You shouldn't be explaining that to us, darling. We all understand how things work around here," Harper said with a nod.
"Ooh, good to hear then," Jayden replied.
"By the way, Charlotte, Paula, and I are done with our first combined project," Harper then said.
Jayden raised his head in awe.
"So quick?" he asked, amazed.
"Yes. Took more time than we had expected anyway. But it's worth it. Would you mind taking a look?" Charlotte asked.
Jayden nodded immediately. "Uhh, sure."
"Okay, come on," Paula gestured to him.
Jayden followed the three ladies while Temi and Becky stayed back in the house.
"Phew... It sucks to have a petty job like mine. I feel so useless right now," Becky said as she leaned against the couch.
"Come on, Becky. Don't say that. We all have our duties, and the best thing we can do is make the best of it," Temi responded.
Becky gave her a short look and shook her head.
"So, you're happy with being the Secretary of the President? If I had gotten that, I would have felt more useless than I am right now," Becky said.
"Well, that's a shame. I never felt useless. In fact, I feel like I'm the most useful figure in this family," Temi said boldly, her eyes sharp.
Upon saying that, Becky raised her head again, this time her face covered with awe and amazement.
She felt the confidence in the young lady and regretted doubting herself in the first place.
"If you keep thinking you are useless, then perhaps you would be the only useless member of The Core, because the rest of the ladies are seeing their qualities and are proud of them," Temi said and stood up.
"You have a duty to take care of. Bring out the best in yourself and see how useful you are."
With that, Temi walked away, leaving Becky completely speechless as she was lost in thought, suddenly knocked out of her uncertainty.
She nodded after a moment.
"She's right. The jobs are shared, and if I can't do mine better than the other girls, that is really when I'd appear useless," she muttered.
With ease, she recollected the assignment which Jayden had given her.
"Get the people ready for what's coming. They have to be ready. I have to unite the nation. I have to be that woman the nation would always remember."
---
Jayden was led to the mechanical base, where Paula had worked on many projects.
Out of all, this project appeared to be the most significant.
They had initially told Jayden about constructing an aircraft, which had cost over a billion dollars to start up.
It was clear that all the ongoing projects wouldn't stand if he wasn't wealthy enough to afford them, so thanks to the Infinite Wealth System...
This was one of the things the system had been preparing him for.
Now, with over five hundred billion dollars in his personal net worth and a three hundred billion dollar national GDP, everything was almost possible.
Opening the giant scroller door, Paula presented...
"Honey, here's the done deal of my first significant project with the combined help of Harper and Charlotte."
Jayden's eyes widened when he caught a glimpse of the giant aircraft in front of him.
He flinched at once.
It was like an airplane, but much larger and most noticeably strong-looking.
"Wild Wings. I gave it the name. It's ten times more reliable than any aircraft in the world, and also..." She smiled.
Jayden understood as he smiled back. "You didn't fail to install some shooters in it, did you?"
Harper laughed softly. "Of course, what business do I have with an engineer if not that?" she asked.
"I installed some smart devices in it as well. Harper installed a missile system in it, so I had to add a target device to make every strike successful," Charlotte said.
"A single Wild Missile can destroy an entire town, depending on the level installed. I can decide to install Level 5, which is the most unforgiving bomb I've got. It can take down the entire Dominion City," Harper added.
"Whoa! Wow, that's... insane," Jayden reacted, eyes widened.
He didn't expect them to have gone this far, but what could he say? The specialized skills were just unbelievable.
"The Nortasian Army can use it. I'm going to be making more of it, and these two ladies here will be helping me out together with their team this time," Paula said as she smiled at them.
"Did I tell you that there's no way this aircraft could crash?" Paula asked in a rush.
"No?" Jayden's brows furrowed.
"Well, it can't crash. There's a 0% chance of the aircraft getting a defect. Once anything goes wrong, Charlotte's installed hyperactive automatic repairers will fix it before it causes trouble," Paula said.
Jayden turned to Charlotte and she nodded in response to what Paula had said.
"And as for Harper, she will make sure that the missiles are enough for every operation. There is even a Master Machine Shooter at the bottom of the aircraft, one that can go all the way from the sky to ground level."
Harper also nodded to that, a slight look of pride on her face.
Now even Jayden didn't know where to start with the acknowledgements.
The ladies had done more than impressive, and he would just say no rewards would be enough.
Jayden only went straight to giving them a kiss before saying,
"Well done, my ladies..."
"But, how about we build some big bombers?" Jayden suddenly asked.
"You mean, nuclear weapons?" Harper's eyes glinted.
