"Boss, Razer has got good news!"

One of Sofia's men stepped into the warehouse and spoke.

"What good news?" Sofia, standing right before her mother's corpse, asked.

Suddenly, Razer was spotted pulling a lady into the building, her face covered and her mouth sealed.

Sofia gave an evil smile as she quickly noticed who it was.

"We kept deep watch on her as you ordered. Turns out she decided to go shopping alone, and we took our chances," Razer said.

"Good job, Razer," Sofia nodded in acknowledgement.

By the time the sack was unveiled, they both had striking glances towards each other.

"Hey, Mia. Bestest friend in the world," Sofia said with a smile, one that clearly wasn't from her heart because...

Mia already knew where this was going.

Her once best friend wanted to have her revenge.

Mia spotted Lynna's lifeless body and flinched. Flinching turned to panic, and she began to scream under her breath.

"Mmmmmmm!"

Sofia bent to match her kneeling height, staring right into Mia's eyes.

"You don't have to scream. It will all be over soon," she said.

"Mmmmmm!"

Mia kept screaming, but it caused little to no alarming sound that could draw any attention from the outside.

In fact, this warehouse was located somewhere far in a lonesome land, and even if the tape was removed from her mouth, no one would hear her voice when she screamed.

"It's interesting how you dumped him, by the way. He had nothing anymore, so you were done, right? Left him for his own best friend, huh? How good did that feel?" Sofia asked, still smiling.

Mia's eyes had begun to well up, but that didn't cause even a morsel of pity in Sofia.

She could clearly see that Mia was terrified, seeing her once soft best friend holding a gun.

The fact that she had just gunned her mother down said it all... Killing her wouldn't cost anything.

At that point, Mia wished she was given a small chance to beg for her life.

But with her hands tied and her mouth closed, it was clear that she would never get that chance.

Sofia stood silent for a moment, as if in deep memory of something. Then she shook her head after a while and turned to Razer.

"We are hanging her," Sofia stated.

"Mmmmmmm!"

Razer and the other men nodded and got to work immediately.

Sofia had nothing much to say, as her angry emotions just pushed her to make the execution at once.

She couldn't get herself to believe that all the people she cared about had betrayed her, and it made her even more furious, creating a deep hole inside her heart.

"Mmmmmm!"

Mia began to beg, but Sofia made sure to turn deaf ears. She never saw her mother's plea as something that made sense, why Mia's?

A huge rope was hung on the ceiling inside the same warehouse. Swiftly, they wrapped the ropes over her neck and placed her legs on a chair.

It was choking at that point because she had her legs on something... Sofia approached her and removed the tape.

"You have any last words?" she asked.

"Please. Don't do this, Sofia. I know I betrayed you. I wronged you, but this is not you. You are not a monster. Please!"

Mia cried as she begged, hoping that Sofia would change her mind.

However, Sofia only nodded and said, "I'll take that as your last words."

At that point, she kicked the small basement, and Mia suddenly became strapped by the ropes.

Instantly, she began shaking as she sought for breath, fighting for her life. Her legs wiggled around, her eyes widened.

Both hands on her neck, she tried to pull the rope away, but she just couldn't.

She was losing it, slowly...

She wasn't getting the breath she needed to survive. Her neck reddened, and soon it started to bleed.

There, Sofia found herself smiling as she watched her friend die miserably in pain.

With a sigh, it appeared that had given her relief, and until she was confirmed dead, she didn't stop watching.

When Mia finally stopped moving, she walked out of the room and headed out.

"Rest in hell, dear friend."

Razer approached her after a while when she was standing outside.

"We got the bodies disposed of safely. The job is done," Razer said.

"No, the job is not done yet. We still have a long way to go, Razer," Sofia said, her face as serious as a hungry villain.

"What may we do, boss?" Razer then asked.

"We are going to take down EC Consortium. The Core... We are going to eliminate each and every one of them. Those bitches took my man from me. They have to face my wrath," Sofia said.

Razer hesitated before nodding.

He heard the EC Consortium and flinched. Of course, he knew what they would have to deal with by attempting that, but what could he do?

The Black Axe gang were skilled bandits that could take care of any situation. As far as Lady Sofia was paying them well, who were they not to do what she asked?

Just a single mission under her had changed their lives, and Razer, as the leader, would make sure that his men carried out her job perfectly.

"Noted, boss. We will be ready for that," Razer said.

Sofia smiled in satisfaction as she entered her car and drove out of the scene.

Soon enough, the Black Axe gang drove out of the scene and headed towards a different route.

While they drove, Razer announced to the men,

"The boss has another mission," Razer said, then paused.

"What mission?" one of them asked.

"We are killing the President's wives," Razer replied.

"What? How's that possible?" another guy asked.

"With good tactics and planning. You just have to follow my commands. The pay is huge, you know?"

"Fuck the pay, man! We are all gonna die if we try attacking any of The Core members. They are so smart, and are heavily guarded. You can't see any of them randomly on the streets," another guy voiced.

"Tyler is right. We can't go so far to do that. We would all die. I don't want to die... I just got a son, man," the fourth guy said.

"Besides that, the President is quite a good fella. If we dare to destroy him, which killing his ladies is one way, we might get Royalty Rule coming back again," the first guy said.

Razer continued hearing complaints and couldn't hold himself anymore. He clearly got upset, and in a moment, he stopped the car.

However...

"Holy shit! The car stopped. I think we are out of fuel. You guys got to go push from behind so we can get the hell out of this desert," Razer said.

They were truly in a deserted area, but what was the lie? The car hadn't actually broken down.

"Shit, man!"

"Bloody hell."

They all cursed angrily and stepped out, except for Razer who was expected to steer as they pushed.

Just when they had reached behind the car and started to push...

The car suddenly started, too quick, and when they were just about to move, the car suddenly reversed.

It was too quick that they could only widen their eyes, as they watched their deaths with their own eyes.

The car suddenly came brushing against them, taking them out and even running them over.

"Bastards. If you don't want to do the job, safe trip to hell then," Razer said and drove away at once.

There, the lifeless bodies of four men lay on the lonesome road, all dead... It wasn't just a scene of betrayal, it was a scene of a leader killing his followers after they had refused to follow him.

The entire group settled in Charlotte's office as they waited for Jayden to arrive.

In no time, he walked in.

"Okay, let's hear your report," Camilia said.

Charlotte nodded as she switched on a large screen in front of them.

"Truly, we have discovered a large portion of gold. It is almost on every damn land in Northeastern Nortasia, and well much at the Northwest. Guess what? The diamonds are most at the North Central, and it's going to take great effort to collect them," Charlotte said.

"How massive can our collections be?" Jayden then asked.

"Unmeasurable at this point, my love. It's more describable when I say it's abundant," Charlotte said with an excited look.

"How about the crude oil rumors?" Temi asked.

"It's true. Very true. In fact, it's as abundant as the diamonds and gold; however, it's in the South, which is the toughest place to be at this point," Charlotte said.

"True. We are going to sort that out. We have to take control of everything. The Icelandians are not happy with my refusal to accept their alliance proposal. We might have to face something big soon."

Charlotte chuckled.

"Judging by my estimations... Soon, there's going to be less worry about that. Because, when we have a large portion of those resources refined, Nortasia is going to be the richest country in the world," she announced.
